I honestly thought you had an answer for me. Anyway, I am sure your pickup mail will come in soon. Cheers.

Has anyone who had their interview on 30th October received passport collection mail?

LagosismyHome! The Marshall of our F1 visa thread!

I am actually a returning student. I came home briefly, my visa got expired and then corona happened. I am not sure how my transcript could be helpful as the VO really just had a chat with me. The questions were specific to my school-what's the school's mascot?, do I shop at a particular mall in the city? The VO actually attended a school in the next city to mine. We literally just gisted.

For calling me out, I promise to contribute more to the thread and I hope we continue to be e-friends.

LagosismyHome:

Hello friend

You come here to learn and ask question but got your visa and didn't drop a transcript so others can learn a thing or two . Is that how a mutual beneficial friendship works ?....

or let me give you benefit of the doubt that you drop your transcript once you pick your passport?

Guys my passport is ready for pickup and I chose Isolo as my pickup point. But I remember others have mentioned (here on the thread) that the consulate in VI is the only point of pickup in Lagos for now.

I am not sure where to go, Isolo or VI?

Do I reach out to DHL or the consulate?

If you have had a similar challenge, who did you contact? Can you kindly share the contact detail you use?

Thank you.

Hello friends,

I did my interview earlier this week but didn't pay reciprocity fee because I was told to come back as they were having network issues at the consulate. I have not been able to return because of the unrest in Lagos and the consulate has since been closed. I am due to return to school in December.

If you were me, will you go ahead to pay for plane ticket(s), knowing that we are not certain of how the events in Lagos and Nigeria at large would unfold.

I know my question is subjective, but I could use one or two different perspectives.

Please o! Brothers and sisters e ma binu, biko nu, someone should kindly share link to Cambridge IELTS materials. I have used the search bar but nothing concrete seems to be popping up.

I know we hate it when an information is available on the thread and one is still asking. Please just forgive, I am your sibling. I promise not not to come back because this will be my second and last IELTS exam in the mighty name of Jesus!

Sorry for the long shalaye. Link to IELTS materials is all I need. T for Thanks.

You will need to fill a contact form on their website. If WES indicated that your transcript has been sent for verification, then it most probably has been sent. I advice you wait another two weeks before sending another email though. This stage took about six weeks for me before any update was made on my WES account.
freshdude:
Who has contacted WES in the past.? Was it done via call or email. My school has not received my transcript that WES sent to them for confirmation.
I want to contact them so they can resend it. It's been two weeks since they sent it initially and the school said that they haven't received it.
Please I need advise on this.

Some details have changed since I filled the last ds160 form (resumption date being one) and I don't want to come off anything coming off like misrepresentation.
Sugarxx:

Hello why can’t you schedule an appointment with the old ds-160?
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by OliveWalls: 12:18pm On Oct 02, 2020
Thank you. I will keep trying.

juniorsworld:

That usually happens. Just wait for later today or the next day. It's likely a lot of people filling in appointments so their server is slow.

Guys, I can't seem to be able to fill a new ds160 form. The page keeps bouncing back. Am I the only one experiencing this? It is so annoying especially since I cannot schedule an appointment with the old ds160 form. Can someone try this from their end? I will like to know if it is something I am doing wrong... abeg edaakun.

Hello everyone, please I need advise on how to go about the verification process for UNILAG Masters. My transcript arrived WES Canada since July and got an update mentioning verification of my credentials as the next step. Should I fold my hands and wait for UNILAG? Do I need to follow up on the portal? Do you know anyone I should be reaching out to in UNILAG in order to help with the verification process? Eeeppp a girl please...

Thank you so much. My friend opened a WES Canada account already. I just don't want her to be on a long thing, cos' if she eventually then needs UNILAG, time would have been wasted.

MayorOfEdmonton:
You normally should wait to see dir response as they will direct u appropriately.
No, u dont need to send a new transcript, they can move the digital file from US to Canada easily.
U will have to pay some money though for a new evaluation to Canadian equivalency.
Someone that experienced same answered this question with more details recently, so u can search "converting/transferring WES USA to WES Canada" in the nairaland search box to see his/her response.
Cheers

Hello,

Do you know if one can get WES Canada and WES US to exchange transcripts and certificates for evaluation purpose?

An older friend got her credentials evaluated by WES US for academic purpose in 2017. She has initiated her request through WES Canada's contact us form, quoting her WES US reference number.

Should we be doing anything else to further this?

Is it best to just apply for transcripts from UNILAG jeje?

Thank you.

Hello gurus in the house,

First post alert

1. Kindly share your thought on getting a gift deed done for POF pre-ITA. I have a portion of my POF as gift from my mum and the rest from my savings (in a separate USD account). She will be collating savings from her different accounts into her main account, from where she would then transfer to me. What do you think about about getting this done ASAP? I have will be taking the IELTS this month and ECA is already in the works.

2. Will it be best to fix the money after it has been sent to me (PRE/POST ITA) or should I just leave it my account.

3. For my POF, I intend to present the gift deed, bank statement highlighting when she transferred the POF, six months bank statement for both banks (USD and NGR) and the required letter from my banks.

4. Am I missing anything?

5. Does my mum need to swear an affidavit alongside the gift deed?

Thank you so much for you help.
I promise to pay it forward.

Hello house, please I need your advice on how to handle this issue. I applied for a B1/B2 Visa in March and interview is scheduled to take place in May. This visa is to enable me attend a conference and present my research paper in June. (Note: I am a doctoral student in a university here in Nigeria and also a lecturer)

Fast forward to mid April, I got a PhD admission in the US. The research focus is what I have always wanted, but is not available here in Nigeria. (I have 14 weeks to resumption and I cannot financially afford to make both trips).

So my questions-
1. Should I still go for the B1/B2 interview?
2. If yes, should I make comments about the changes that have occured since applying 2 monthst earlier or not?
3. If no, should I cancel the appointment or just refuse to show up?
4. While filing my F1 Visa form, if I cancelled the B1/B2 appointment, do I need to indicate that I have applied for a US VISA before?
5. While filing the FI VISA form, if I just did not show up for the appointment, do I need indicate that I have applied for a US VISA before?

I look forward your various input. Thank you.
