Travel / Re: CBN Restricts Use Of Naira Denominated Cards Abroad by oljacobs: 9:26pm On Jul 07, 2015 |
Please explain? How does it damage the Naira? All the CBN has done is to request that all banks report on use of Naira Mastercard abroad and demand that Corporate customers buy BTA i.e. Get show evidence of what the forex will be used for before the bank sells to them. nwaenugu: |

The policy is to prohibit use of Naira dominated cards abroad on CORPORATE ACCOUNTS and to encourage use of BTA, dollar dominated cards or cards linked to Dom account. You can actually get an earlier interview date at the discretion of the embassy. Just use the feedback/contact from the appointment booking portal to humbly request an earlier/ specific date stating your genuine reasons and I am sure they will oblige. I have done that before and it worked. We were travelling as a group and got different dates. We got them to bring appointment s forward. All the best. SAkale: 2 Likes |

Travel / Re: Any Info About Student Life In Ukraine? by oljacobs: 3:37pm On Oct 01, 2011 |
Hi all! Can anyone advice on the proceedure for getting a student visa in the Ukraine Embassy in Abuja? My younger ones have been making attempts to submit thier visa application for over a week and after long queues each day, they are turned back only to come back again as early as 5 am the next day. Thier story has been that the embassy is not giving any information and not collecting new applications and they have to check each day whether they will start collecting. I would like to hear from anyone who understands the process as it is gettting unusually long and I have a feeling they may be doing something wrong. Tx |

Many thanks for your input. I plan to stay 2 weeks max, why I want a 2 yr multiple entry visa is so I dont have to apply again next year. As per accomodation, that is not an issue. I have a place to stay. |

FAMILY VISIT OR TOURIST VISA? Hello house. I plan to make an application for a visiting visa but I am unsure of way to go as I have never applied for a visiting visa though i studied and lived in the UK for some 7 years and I last traveled to the UK about 5 years ago. I have a good job, have some decent savings and wanna make a trip to the UK. Should I make an hotel booking, write itenery etc and apply for a tourist visa or simply get a letter of invitation from family in the UK? Which is better of the two options? Please advice. Should I apply for a 6 month or 2 yr visa? Tnx |

Autos / Re: Get your Cars From Cotonou (Direct TOKS) At Reasonable Prices. by oljacobs: 7:10am On Apr 06, 2010 |
I have been made to believe that IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO GET GENUINE CUSTOMS PAPERS FROM COTONOU except for cars shipped through Lagos ports. If this is true, that means if I opt for a cotonou imported car, I run the risk of it being seized if I travel with it within the first year of purchase. Tokunbo dealers in the house, please advice. |

Sports / Any Nice Public Swimming Pools In Lagos? by oljacobs: 7:43pm On Mar 17, 2010 |
I recently moved to Lagos from Abuja and I have been looking for a decent swimming pool where I can swim but this task has been proving difficul. NL, please help. I used to swim at Nicon Luxury in Abuja. The pool is very clean and big enough. The atmosphere is just lovely. There is an outside live band and you can order drinks and food at the pool side. I have visited a few "nice hotels" in VI but thier pool is only for lodgers. Waiting for you replies. |
