My brothers and sisters, greetings to all.

I am having a challenge with my xiaomi redmi 5 plus. The bottom side of the phone with earphone fell into a cup with little water inside,2days ago. I quickly removed it and wiped it off. Then to be safe, I put it inside uncooked rice for some hours.

I tried to put it on yesterday and its showing blank and does not come up. If i press power and volume up, the screen lights up but does not go further and the light goes off.... if I plug it to charge, the charging light comes on..

Please, I need ideas on what to do and how or where to repair. I am grateful for any advice.

And it is not about the version number but the features they bring to your own device irrespective of the number.

Here's the problems..... My friend woke up last week and found out his Redmi 5A isn't getting network anymore. He borough he phone to me at work. First I though it was a sim problems but after I tried different sim and there was still no network, I decide to run factory reset but the problems persist.

We took the phone to Redmi Office opposite Awolowo Glass House in Ikeja on Wednesday last week. To our surprise the security man there told us they don't repair phone there!!! That's its just an office (you guys should know the place na, its at computer village) he said the only Care Center they have is at Cash&Carry in Ikeja, that even at Cash&Carry they won't repair it. He said they only repair Redmi Note 7 upwards.

Guys we are shock!!! Can anyone be of help

this can be ROM issue or the network cable is damage.

Guys just saw redmi 7 2/16 variant for 34,000 on jumia and am about to order for it because its within my budget, thing is I've read comments here about how poor the ram management can be, so guys please advice do I go 4 it? 1. The phones are very durable. And a lot of active people on this thread have used one or more Xiaomi device.

2. Repairing of Xiaomi devices is not Rocket device, any capable phone repairer can do it.

3. Because they have not fully setup their care centers the parts are not readily available in the Nigeria market. But those who have used them for the past 3 years or more have always ordered their genuine spare parts.

4. Xiaomi devices have a very good resale value better than Tecno and it's likes.

5. Minna don't have any Slot or Pointek store, that's why it is difficult to get there. Your Obasanjo complex phone sellers are not yet enlightened. With time they will.

The movement is real. Taste and see.

Minna phone dealers are not ready to explore other brand, I pray my stay in that Complex bring positive impact as engineer.

From the reviews I have seen so far about the xioami phones, xoiami seems to be a nice brand after all thou I haven't had one on one experience with any of their device before due to the fact that in this part of the country(Minna to be precise )the phones are yet to make names for themselves.

It's a nice thing to talk about or rather focus on the positive side of something but it is necessary to also let people know of the negative part of something too especially when it comes to phones Just as the saying nobody is perfect, it also applies to phones too,This is a topic that was created to discuss strictly on xiomi devices and so far so good the topic is doing great.

The thing is I haven't come across any where that talks about the maintenance of the xiomi devices are being discussed ,What if my xiomi phone becomes faulty now can engineers we have over here can they be able to fix it? what about the spare parts of the phone can that be gotten easily without the need to start ordering for maybe the screen of the device? And the cost too.We don't always prayer for our phones to develop faults but at times its inevitable.

And coming to the durability of the xiomi devices,are they durable? because most(not all) people on this trend recently started using the brand and anything new will surely be working perfectly but what will happen after a year or let me say years of using the phones will they still be the their to tell the story?

What about the second hand value?like everyone knows this company is not yet known except here on NL,At a time maybe after few months u might decide to switch or let me say upgrade to another phone will that xiomi device u re having still have second hand value?imagine u buying a xiomi phone of 50 plus and intend of selling it mayb u might find your self in an area where the brand is not yet known do you think that phone will be sold at a good price ?


I will suggest also that a write up should be made on everything one needs to know about about xiomi devices I think that will answer most questions that 're being asked here

I once posted here that if you're Xiaomi user in Minna and Suleja don't hesitate to call my number. And in terms of second hand value there are three different Mallam that are ready to pay 40k for my Redmi 7. But I don't have extra cash to get another one. If shipping in the part would give my client happiness walahi i will advice him to do that. This is Engineer from Suleja, coming to Obj Complex very soon. Thanks
