This is a perfect case to deal with those criminals in black uniform. The family should start with a pertittion to the state commisioner and the IG. Then follow that with a law suit. This is a good case of armed robbery and attempted murder.

This policy is just to get revenue without considering its effect on the masses.

You pay 18k minimum wage. No power, road, adequate local production, no control of quality and standard of what is being produced, then you ban importation. This is just putting the cart before the horse.

Importation of goods and services must be discouraged but we need to ensure adequate and quality local alternative first.

My car has been running like this for over 4 years, radiator was disconnected from the transmission because water get mix with oil all the time.. I'd love to know more about this or should I say I am more interested in how to by pass the trans oil cooling through the radiator by installing an additional auto transmission cooler.

External transmission coolers are small radiator-like heat exchanger and could be of 3 types.
1. Tube and fin Type
2. Plate and fin type
3. Stacked plate type


These above are normally installed in front of the AC condenser and they are cooled with the radiator fans. The hose from the transmission is run to the input of the cooler while another hose is run from the output of the cooler to the transmission. Ensure you get the cooler with its inlet and outlet having same size with your transmission hose sizes for easy installation.

These cooler are available on Amazon and other online stores and they are easy to install. Ensure you buy the one with the right GVWR rating for your vehicle if you plan to be towing with the vehicle.

After the installation, ensure to add additional transmission fluid and check the level is current as recommended by the car manufacturer.

If you have no space in front of the condenser, there are coolers that come with fan and thermostat assembly. These can be installed remotely with the engine hood where you have enough space. The fan will come on and off as controlled by the thermostat.

Please i want to know your view on disconnecting gearbox from radiator because of transmission oil and coolant mix in gearbox. I think the cooling effect from the radiator will help the auto gearbox performance. What is the best way to solve this problem. Is it total disconnection or replacing the radiator. The gearbox still works perfectly but the gearbox and the radiator has been disconnected because that is the best option now as suggested by a gearbox mechanic. But I think this should be a short term measure,or is this option okay for a long period

Temperature is the worst enemy of auto transmissions. Therefore driving without any form of cooling is gambling with your transmission. Replace the radiator ASAP or you can install an additional auto transmission cooler if you want to bypass the trans oil cooling through the radiator.

Dont decieve yourself. No vehicle is made or qualified to be used daily on roads as bad as Nigerian roads. Vehicles are made to be used on roads and not jungles we call roads here.

I dont know why the convoys of the nigerian polithiecians are always on high speed even in built up areas. They have just killed this man for no reason.

MTN Nigeria has recently devised another method of extorting credit from subscribers, when they discovered that many Nigerians are not subscribing to their numerous unsolicited promotional text messages.

The new method is that, the service provider sends messages of promotions or different service subscriptions to their unsuspecting customers and these messages are programmed with an end message of "to subscribe, press OK for 20NGN/week or 50NGN/week". The trick here is that, once you receive this message, some phones cannot be used until you press the "Call" button on your phone. This call button means "Yes" in many phones. Also, you could mistakenly push call button on your phone, which means a "Yes". This is a deliberate means, MTN is now using to make people subscribe to their numerous unsolicited promotions against the people will. What happens to asking subscribers to send a code to another code as it is done before. This ensures that the subscribers is actually willing to subscribe, compared to this their new strategy. This new strategy is simply fraudulent.

I discovered this when I got one of these messages on 30th July 2016, the message ended with "to subscribe, press OK for 50 NGN". At this point, my phone will not respond to any other button, except to press "Yes" button which is also the call button on the phone. I had to use my phone, then I pressed this button. The message disappeared but I knew my credit had been deducted. I called MTN's customer call immediately. The service agent said, she could not see any such subscription on my number's information log on her system. I was not really sure of my initial credit before this happened. I moved on the issue but I vowed to monitor my credit going forward, knowing fully that this service provider will repeat same scam message.

Lo and behold, on August 21st 2016, I received another of this type of message ending "to subscribe, press OK for 20 NGN /week". Again, I pressed the call button on my phone, the message disappeared. I checked my credit immediately and found that 20NGN has been deducted from my balance. This time, I am very sure they have deducted my 20NGN since I have been monitoring my credit from that first incident of 30th July 2016. My credit balance was 133.88 NGN before MTN sent this scam message. I had that 133.88 NGN on my phone since 20th August. I have not used the phone to call or text or do any airtime activity since 20th August. After the message, my credit became 113.88 NGN. Then, I received another text from MTN saying "Welcome to CREAM promotion service...” I called MTN customer care line. I was told that no such transaction occurred on my number. The agent was able to confirm my balance and transactions that happened on 20th August and he could also confirm that I have not used any air time since 20th August but he said he could not see the transaction that deducted my NGN 20.

At this point, I told him, MTN should refund my money but he said he could not see any transaction of the deduction. I dropped the call and later received a ticket number MTN1-25982830 from MTN.

This same issue happened again on 22 August 2016. This time MTN subscribed me for another promotion called "DANCE" and deducted my air time.

This is what i am talking about. FRSC officials will see this and do as if they are blind. You will be surprised that this death trap has a valid road worthiness certificate. Instead of the FRSC to take a clue from other better countries and apply process that can prevent accidents, they want to force nigerians to install cheap and untested Chinese speed limiter that can even cause the vehicle ECU to misbehave and lead to other problems in the vehicle operation.

Rubbish. Nigerian ways of solving problem is always absurd. FRSC wants the poor masses to pay for their incompetence and cluelessnes.

Why cant FRSC install speed limits on every road in nigeria and install speed monitors that report live data and video to nearby monitoring stations to check over speeding drivers.

The cause of accidents in nigerian roads are not only speed but the following inclusive.

1. Bad roads
2. Poorly trained or un-trained drivers. 99% drivers in nigeria knows nothing about driving rules and safe driving practices
3. Poorly maintained vehicles. MOT, Roadworthiness inspection is just an avenue for government to generate revenue but not to remove pooly maintained vehicles from d roads.
4. Every tom, dick and harry can get drivers license in nigeria.
5. No proper crash investigation or record to know cause of road accidents
