An Overzealous or incompetent medical personnel may cause infertility issues after evacuation.

Too much curettage during evacuation can cause development of adhesions in the uterus, this is known as Asherman syndrome. It can be revealed through Hysterosalpingography test and Adhesiolysis can be carried out to clear out the adhesions.

Infection or Sepsis that goes untreated after evacuation may affect the fallopian tubes and impair it's proper functioning.
Hysterosalpingography (HSG) is also a useful investigation here

Please pay no mind to what that Ignoramus wrote to you, IUGR at 31 weeks is not a death sentence. Keep taking your routine drugs and rest more often to encourage blood flow to your Lo.

If you haven't already, register with a hospital with Ultrasound for close monitoring of your baby and good SCBU, incase the baby might need to come earlier but at this stage, your baby has a very good fighting chance.

May you come through with great testimony.

Everyone is saying they are sure is this or that, I want you to know that you can't truly know the content of a swelling from a picture and without proper history.
Get to a hospital, let them determine the content, if it's fluid as in cyst, they'll drain, if it's fat, a simple surgery where you'll be wide awake can be done to excise it.
Either way, get your head to a hospital and don't allow nairalanders use gbogbonise to worsen it for you.

BS BS BS ( Part 3)

At Week 10, scan showed one of the twins has stopped growing at Week 7. Since then my heart always pound anytime I go for scan. As a result of this , I kept the pregnancy news to myself. None of my family members knew including my mum who stayed with me I only told them after I was admitted for 9 days to monitor my blood sugar so there was no way I couldn't tell them why I was in the hospital because they were scared . 10 days after I told my mum, she passed on.

The pregnancy was pretty easy, no nausea, no vomiting, no food nor smell adversion . The only thing was the bitter taste on my mouth .

From day 1, my consultant has stated I will deliver via CS due to age, so on Week 37 and 6 days I headed to the hospital but the teaching hospital was on strike so had to use a private hospital. The CS was pretty fast, within 5 mins I heard the cry of my baby , only the stitching took time .I was 45yrs, 3 month and 14 days old.

I was discharged 2 days later immediately it was certified my daughter didn't have jaundice.

Yesterday was her naming ceremony, indeed it was worth it and God is God .

She's sooo beautiful. May she be the coolness of your eyes and bring you joy all the days of your life.

Please I need you all to come to my aid.

I married my wife as a virgin about a year and six months ago and ever since having a child is becoming an issue. We have been experiencing series of miscarriages(7) now.
Whenever she missed her period we do test using the strip at home but shows negative but when we get to lab it shows positive(sample by blood). And after a week or two she will start to see blood.

Every time she visted the hospital, they ask her to buy dusphaston and vasuprine ,still no improvement.

A test was down on us VDRL (blood) and (sperm analysis) semen collected. My test came out positive (VDRL) and sperm analysis was ok.
Her test came out negative (VDRL)
Drugs was given to me and I was given malaria and typhoid drugs too in case.

Another miscarriage again. This time she went in for hormonal test at the lab. Everything came out ok expect her T3 and T4 with (less than 0.2) and the Doctor says is insignificant.

This February/March again another miscarriage again.
She was placed on clomid once and letrozole too in different cycle.

I am confused and don't know what to do.
Though my wife did remove fibroid five months, before our wedding.
Please what do you suggest or think we can do.

Really sorry about your situation, I pray things work out well for you.

Are the losses first trimester losses? most first trimester losses are due to genetic issues that may need further testing.

Have you done HSG just to ascertain the condition of the womb? Post surgery, some scarring may occur in the womb causing pregnancy loss.

Once she takes in again, you might want to have an early ultrasound, around 6 weeks to check cervical length and rule out incompetent cervix.

Up your both of your diets, eat more greens and fruits, lose weight if need be, cut out alcohol and cigarette as healthy sperm and egg makes healthy babies.

Look for a reputable Gynecologist around you to work with.

Relief anxiety and have se.x for pleasure.

Pray and believe, it's the most important step.

Able Cappo, Thanks for checking up on us. We are doing great by God's grace. The babies are bigger than expected but my bump is still looking small to me o. Doctor says not to worry as long as they are fine.

- Exercise

Averagely. How long does it take hyper prolacting of about 81 to using bromocriptin to come down. It's really draining my energy and peace. I will really appreciate a response please my people

TTC itself can be draining, the last thing you should add to it is anxiety and frustration. Just keep a calm mind and trust in God that all will be well.

Hyperprolactinemia can be treated with Cabergoline(pricey) or bromocriptine. It's best to work with a Gynecologist on the prescriptions.

If you go through the previous pages, some of our Mamas swear by the Ewedu(Jute leaves) therapy, you can read back to check how it's prepared.

There was this native woman that did womb opening for me in January saw my menses very well Feb from march to April went back to scanty and skipping at interval. The one for April is just from morning till 6pm that same day. Where I am in Lagos there is no good Hospital. Just one general hospital that all they know how to do is CS. My story is very long

HSG is done before day 10 of that cycle, usually day 7-9.

Hydrocele is no big deal, it can easily be drained.

Asides the Seminal fluid analysis and Culture you've already done, others include;

1. Hormonal profile for both of you.
2. Ultrasound Scan (preferably transvaginal) for the lady.
3. HSG for the lady, if no 2 result is not satisfactory.
On the side, Endocervical swab MCS for the lady.

I did as instructed and he put his fingers. He gave me a suprise look and told me I was already in labor and that I wasn't having any discharge; it was my water. The shocking part; I was already 8cm dilated but I wasn't feeling any pains. I just felt normal. The nurses too were suprised.

This is what they call easy peasy delivery. Congratulations mama ibeji!

Yea I am, taking pregnova and cyclogest, plus progesterone injections oil every other day.

That's great. Progynova is oestrogen while Cyclogest insert and Progesterone injection is progesterone.
It's probably nothing, just rest well and up your water intake. I did have on and off bleeding myself from week 5 to 11.
I'm guessing your first ultrasound scan is in 1 week (week 6)?

First you have to determine the cause.
*A sperm culture and sensitivity should have been done alongside the analysis such that if there's any infection, it can be treated accordingly.

*Your DH should also get checked to rule out Varicocele.
He should cut down on Alcohol and Tobacco smoking as they negatively affect sperm health.

*Good nutrition and vitamins such as Vitamin C, Vitamin D and Vitamin E also helps.

Almost all the parameters are good, very good. The sperm motility is low though at 15%, It should be 40% and above.
This means the sperms are not moving fast enough to get to the egg.

Thank you mums for all the messages, really appreciate, so I did blood test at the hospital yesterday and the positive was confirmed, but quick ones ma’ams, I am concerned because I don’t feel any symptoms other than my sore boobs. And I still have two weeks to go for scan. It’s scary waiting a whole two weeks again to confirm that I have babies in there. Has anybody experienced this?

I felt absolutely nothing in my two weeks wait until 10 days after when I had bad cramps that felt like my period was coming.l, it stopped on it's own and then nothing after. I remember feeling really down up till when I went to the hospital.
I'm 21 weeks now.
Still a symptomless pregnancy.

Good day Mamas, apologies l haven't registered my presence for awhile.
It has been a rough ride in and out of the hospital since week 7.

I am currently 25weeks but Team July (22nd Elective CS due past medical history) Twin IVF conception conceived.

I started having watery discharge on Friday and l came to the hospital yesterday (I use Gotv hospital) for check up, l was diagnosed with leaking amniotic fluid and was immediately placed on admission and on bed with monitoring.

I have read and read about this PROM diagnosis on Google , l am really scared but trusting God to show mercy.

Please who has treated this either medically or herbally to kindly share her experience and what she did to successfully scale through.

The Doctors said the small open around the membrane where the fluids is leaking from can heal up as we have 50/50 chances.

There shall not be loss in our midst in the name of God. Amen

Oh my, I'm so sorry to hear this, I can imagine the great amount of stress you must be in right now.
I would like you to know that it's not a hopeless situation, if they conducted a test for infection for you, they can check if an infection caused the PROM and treat adequately.
To the best of my knowledge, I would say you should aim for total bed rest and adequate fluid intake(up to 3 litres) to regenerate the amniotic fluid and probably plan to bring them out in three to six weeks.

I really pray for a good outcome for you Ma'am. May God almighty favour you.

Fine o Cappo... I've finally started feeling movement and it's the most interesting thing ever
I can't wait till the kicks are stronger.

Fine fine Cappo...I started having contractions over the weekend and was admitted.thsnk God they were able to stop it .I got discharged yesterday but I have been placed on complete bedrest.

Thank God they were able to stop it. There shall be no loss amongst us by God's grace.
Please maintain the complete bed rest, even though it's not easy, I was on strict bed rest from week 8 to 13 due to a subchorionic bleed but I thank God that's over now.
