BobiNick: This argument came up recently at a relationship talk show we had and while some people saw nothing wrong in doing that being that she a still a baby child in their eyes and they have been bathing them since 0 years, some other people argued that it wasn't a good thing and was a dispeakable act.
What is your view on this issue? Do you think there is nothing wrong for a father to bath with his 10 years old daughter or do you think it is wrong? This is an unpardonable despicable thing to think of |
Christianity Etc › Re: A New Solution For America’s Empty Churches: A Change Of Faith by oloriooko(m): 4:02pm On Aug 30, 2019 |
judchuks20: Over the past few decades, vacant and underutilized churches have become a familiar sight in American cities.
In some cases, a congregation or a religious governing body – say, a Catholic diocese – will sell the church to developers, who then turn them into apartments, offices, art galleries, museums, breweries or performance spaces.
But what about churches in neighborhoods that aren’t doing well, areas that are less attractive to developers looking to turn a profit?
In Buffalo, New York, two empty Roman Catholic churches were recently converted – not into apartments or offices, but into other places of worship. One became an Islamic mosque, the other a Buddhist temple.
As an architect and historic preservation planner, I was drawn to this phenomenon. With the help of Enjoli Hall, who was then a graduate student at University at Buffalo, I interviewed those involved in converting the former churches.
With immigrant and refugee populations growing in post-industrial cities across the U.S., the conversion of vacant Christian churches into new places of worship can preserve historic architecture and strengthen burgeoning communities.
In Buffalo, a split between east and west Buffalo has long been an immigrant gateway. From 1850 to 1900, the city’s population increased by over 700%. In 1892, over one-third of Buffalo’s residents were foreign born. Poles, Germans and Italians settled in the city, leading to a wave of church construction. In the 1930s, African Americans started migrating from southern US to the east side of the city.
But by 2010, the city’s population had dwindled to just over 260,000 people – less than half of what it was in 1950.

mysportdab: Red Star Belgrade players celebrated their qualification for the group stages of the Champions League by riding an army tank through the city streets, MySportDab reports.
A 1-1 draw at home to Swiss outfit Young Boys sealed their place in the pools for 2019/20 after the first leg of their playoff tie had finished 2-2 in Bern, the Serbs going through on away goals.
Once the match had finished and supporters had filtered out of the stadium, Red Star's squad hopped in the military vehicle and paraded it through Belgrade.
A day before kick-off at Rajko Mitic Stadium, the club had parked a battle tank outside the venue in a move that sparked furious criticism from neighbouring Croatia, as reported by Euro News.
The model used by Red Star - a Soviet T-55 - was employed during the bloodshed in Yugoslavia in the 1990s.
Officials from the SuperLiga team insisted that the vehicle was chosen to represent the club slogan: "The Machine Has Started."
The decision to drive the tank as a form of celebration caused further outrage in the countries surrounding Serbia, with the players seen carrying flares as fireworks were set off.

InansBobo: Good. The church is actually working on constructing a pedestrian bridge, the last time I heard, they were doing some paper works with the government to approve and all that. Meanwhile, those crossing as you saw are actually being impatient and careless. The church provided buses to convey worshippers before/after service to the other side of the road pending when the construction will start. If this is true, then it is commendable but should be executed quickly. On the other hand, the church should employ soldiers to discipline erring members to serve as lesson to others intending to do same. |

ecclize: Sierra Leone forward Musa Noah Kamara has had his contract with Swedish club Trelleborgs cancelled after just one week.
The club simply stated that the 19-year-old's three-and-a-half year deal was ended for "personal reasons".
"He wishes to return to his home country for personal reasons," Trelleborgs said in a statement on their website.
Kamara went on to explain that he wanted to return to Freetown as he could not cope with the cold weather in Sweden.
He finished as the top goal scorer of 2019 Sierra Leone Premier league with 15 goals to help East End Lions emerge as champions. Olodo he should ask his mates how they were able to cope instead of going back home. |
