Now this is exactly how i want Nigerians to think not only the coach! Douglaufuoma: The chances of Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori playing for Nigeria still remains valid after his bench role for the Three Lions of England in the last round of international games where they played against Czech Republic and Bulgaria respectively.Tomori was an unused substitute in both games that would have tied him to the English team permanently as both games were competitive fixture. Playing in any of them would have ended his chances of switching allegiance to Nigeria.
His bench role means he is still available for selection for the senior national team of Nigeria if he is called up although the process will take at least a year to be approved by FIFA.
Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has however ruled out the chances of that happening insisting that his team have moved on from Tomori since he made public his decision to play for England.” He pick where he is comfortable and we wish him all the best with England. No point thinking we can have him back as it will be dangerous if we allow players view our team as second option when all fails, I think we are bigger than that. I hope he succeeds with England “, Rohr said. https://owngoalnigeria.com/2019/10/25/super-eagles-too-big-to-be-treated-as-plan-b-rohr-shut-the-door-on-tomori/ |

Onuachu is a secondary school player his control is poor his positioning is poor his height disturbs him I would love to see Ramon man that midfield to give Iwobi a run for his money. Ajayi held his own today, Awaziem has proven he can play any defensive position We still lack a ball holder and distributor Iwobi not stepping up Overall good score draw for the SE |

I laughed hard today when I heard on Brila that the result of our friendly match against Brazil is important. How can we expect a good result from a friendly where most of our key players pulled out and the ones playing will be very careful and wary of injuries which can have adverse effect on their club career. The friendly is to discover new talents |

Tell it to the birds MetalJigsaw: Fikayo Tomori: Why I Chose England Ahead Of Nigeria
The 21-year-old has been a revelation in the heart of Chelsea’s defence this season, and that has earned him a call-up to England’s national team, but he has now revealed it was not a given he was going to represent the Three Lions ahead of Nigeria and Canada
Tomori was also eligible to play for one of Canada or Nigeria, but he is set to feature for England after he was named in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Czech Republic and Bulgaria.
Speaking on why he decided to choose England ahead of Canada and Nigeria, Tomori said he would have represented either of those countries had they extended an invitation to him before England did.
In an interview with Goal where Soccernet.ng got excerpts from, Tomori revealed it was not 100% sure he was going to play for England despite representing them at youth level.
“England is such a big nation, as well as Nigeria and Canada, so I think I was going to be happy with whoever called me up – but it’s nice it is England,” Tomori said.
“It wasn’t England all the way. I had certain people and certain things that I had to consider. I spoke to my family and people that I care about it and that’s the decision I came to. So, when England came calling, it was difficult to say no.
“It was just more of a thing I was waiting for a call-up because the last international break I didn’t get a call-up from anyone. This international break, I was waiting for a call-up and England called me up.
