Ademola47:
Hello my fellow aspirants and staylites in the house,

Going by the newly released ui academic calendar, one can infer that the post Utme would be written between September/early October.

And since jamb has released our Utme results, I think the next thing to do is to start preparing for the post Utme which is the final phase.

I want to take us through a 70-day marathon reading for the post Utme. The marathon reading will begin on Thursday, 27th of June, 2019.

I will be dropping daily outline. The outlines will be read each day following the drafted timetable.

Subsequently, brainstorming will be held like twice in a week on the read outline.

In the course of the preparation, we are not going to use CALCULATOR as ui post Utme doesn't allow its usage.

Should you have any contribution or suggestion or opinion, please air it.

PS: 10 likes on this post will make me give thorough details of how the programme would be run. The likes is to be sure I'm not wasting my effort.

many are called few are chosen.. that's Ui anthem.

what I know is that mbbs cannot be less than 73% at most and cannot be greater than 80%.

Law cannot be less than that too.

dentistry will be close to 70%.

Let's just intensify our prayer, Prayer works.

Crime / I've Been Administering Injections On Adeleke For A Long Time- Nurse by olsamlaw(m): 3:28pm On May 18, 2017
I’ve been administering injections on Adeleke for a long time –Nurse

Femi Makinde, Osogbo

The nurse who allegedly administered injections on late Senator Isiaka Adeleke, Alfred Aderibigbe, has said that he has been administering injections on the late lawmaker for a long time.

Aderibigbe said this on Thursday while testifying before the coroner, as ordered by Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

Counsel for the nurse, Mr. Lekan Alabi, led him in evidence. Aderibigbe gave his evidence in Yoruba language.

He said he met Adeleke over 20 years ago while working at the State Hospital, Ede, when he treated a girl who was rushed to the facility because of convulsion.

He said he eventually knew that the girl was Adeleke’s daughter when he (Adeleke) sent for him and gave him some money.

He said Adeleke asked him to see him regularly and that, that was how he “started treating me like his son.”

Aderibigbe added, “After a while, I started treating him (medically). Whenever he was given prescription and he probably didn’t complete his treatment in Abuja, I would administer the remaining.

“He had other nurses in Abuja, and some in Lagos.

“I’m his nurse in Ede. I don’t know any of them (other nurses), but I know that whenever he was given injection by those nurses, he would show me in order to know the new area to inject him.

“He was hypertensive and he had gouty arthritis. I was close to him. I used to advise him to rest for him to be okay.

“He stopped smoking for a long time. He drank alcoholic drinks.”

Health / Ogun State Nurses Protest Decay In Health Sector...#pics by olsamlaw(m): 6:15am On Feb 02, 2017
Nurses and Midwives in two federal health institutions in Abeokuta, Ogun State – the Federal Medical Centre, Idi Aba , and the Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro – on Wednesday protested against the decay in the health sector and alleged discrimination against them by the Federal Ministry of Health .

They held the protest at the FMC, Idi Aba , under the aegis of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives , Federal Health Institutions chapter .

The Chairman , Joint Health Sector Unions in FMC, Samuel Idowu , and the Unit Chairman , NANNM , Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro , Oluwayemisi Falana, lamented the alleged re- designation of nurses , which they noted was not in line with the scheme of service of their members .

Idowu , who read a speech of the National Secretary of the association, Gambo Dan- Fulani , complained of non -payment of promotion arrears for upward of four years to deserving members .

He also condemned the deteriorating state of infrastructure and non -availability of adequate medical consumables in federal health institutions .

He said , “ Promotion given to our members is not real promotion , because even with the promotion they still remain stagnated .
“ Again, the promotion has no financial backing , whereas the resident doctors and the consultants have everything given to them by the Federal Ministry of Health as soon as they ask .

“ They have also failed to pay our members ’ uniform allowance. Professionals cannot change their uniforms as and when due . ”
Falana lamented the lack of consumables in the federal health institutions , saying they had been turned to “ consulting clinics where there are no drugs and other essentials. ”

Also speaking during the protest, Unit Chairman , NANNM , FMC chapter , Abosede Fagoyinbo, urged the Federal Government to remove the health institutions ’ accounts from the Treasury Single Account.

Fagoyinbo said , “ The Treasury Single Account is about mobilising all funds into the federation account . But when you look at health sector , we render essential services. By the principle which TSA operates, you cannot access fund quickly and this is really wrecking the services we provide in the hospitals . ”

Crime / Woman Dies After Sex Romp In Guesthouse. #pics by olsamlaw(m): 6:08am On Feb 02, 2017
The wife of a Lagos State socialite , identified only as Josephine, has been killed after sex romps with her boyfriend in a guesthouse in the Isheri Olofin area of the state.

PUNCH Metro gathered that the victim had gone to the guesthouse with her boyfriend , Augustine Dunkwu last Tuesday around 2. 30pm.
They were said to have drunk different brands of beer after which they went into a room .
Our correspondent was told that after about 45 minutes of marathon sex, the woman fainted .
When efforts to resuscitate her reportedly failed , the suspect allegedly dressed up and left the guesthouse .

The receptionist , who became suspicious that Dunkwu left without his partner , was said to have quickly dashed into the room and saw that the woman was unconscious .
Our correspondent gathered that the worker raised the alarm, and the suspect was chased , apprehended and handed over to policemen from the Idimu division.
Josephine’ s corpse was subsequently deposited in a morgue .

Our correspondent gathered that the owner of the guesthouse had made statement at the police station .

When our correspondent visited the guesthouse on Jemi Alade Street, he was received by an elderly man and a young lady , who confirmed the incident.
The man , who appeared to own the guesthouse and asked not to be identified , said the suspect had attempted abandoning the corpse in the room .

He said , “ This is a public place and people come in and go out . We are not responsible for what happened .

“ They came in and had drinks . There were several others here that day . After they finished drinking, they went into a room .
“ I don’ t know what happened between them ; but some minutes later , he stepped out of the room and left the guesthouse . The receptionist observed that he didn ’ t leave with his woman friend and when she went inside to check , she discovered that the lady was unconscious and quickly raised the alarm.

“ People ran after him and saw that he had already boarded a vehicle. We had to drag him down from the bus.

“ The incident really caused commotion in the guesthouse as some of our customers fled . We alerted policemen , who arrested him and removed the corpse. ”
A source in the area said Josephine was the wife of a socialite , whom he refused to name.

He said , “ They both had drinks in the guesthouse before going into the room where they had sex. It is possible that the man used drug or the woman was not strong enough to withstand the sex. She passed on during the romp. ”

The source said the police from the Idimu division took the corpse to a mortuary.
Our correspondent gathered that the matter had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba.

The state Police Public Relations Officer , SP Dolapo Badmos , said investigations were ongoing into the incident.
She said , “ We were told that on January 24, 2017, the suspect and the deceased lodged in a guesthouse .

“ The suspect later attempted to check out without his guest , prompting the receptionist to run after him .

“ He was taken back to his room where the lifeless body of his girlfriend was discovered without any sign of violence.

“ The corpse was removed and deposited in the Mainland General Hospital Mortuary, Yaba. Investigations are ongoing. ”

Crime / Soldiers Beat Redeemed Pastor Into Coma For Refusing To "Frog Jump" by olsamlaw(m): 7:00am On Jan 25, 2017
Adelani Adepegba, Abuja

A pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God , Abuja , Alex Ochienu , said he was assaulted and beaten by two soldiers into a coma for refusing to obey their order to do frog jumps . The cleric alleged that he was flogged by Cpl. M . Dankwa and his colleague whose name he did not know , until he collapsed and was rushed to the Gwarimpa General Hospital where he was admitted at the Emergency ward.

The civil engineer said he was supervising construction works at Paradise Estate , Life Camp , Abuja when the soldiers invaded the site with officials of the Development Control Department and assaulted him and other workers. Ochienu told Northern City News on Tuesday that the soldiers beat him with rifle butts and kicked him in the stomach simply because he told them he could not obey their order to do frog jumps as he was fasting.

The engineer said he lost his phone during the incident which occurred on January 17, 2017 at 3pm. Ochienu said despite his pleas to the rampaging soldiers that he was fasting, they refused to listen , but rather flogged him until he collapsed .

He said , “ The soldiers rushed into the site and ordered everyone to frog- jump ; they flogged the workers and threatened to shoot us . I tried to explain to them that I was weak because I was fasting, but Dankwa was infuriated by my explanation.
“ He kicked me in the stomach ; another soldier also joined in beating me till I collapsed . When they saw that I was almost lifeless , they left and I was rushed to the hospital by the workers. ”

The cleric said he learnt the soldiers apologised to the owners of the estate “ for their mistake. ”
But Ochienu said he planned to take legal action against the Development Control Department and the military for the assault .
The Paradise Estate Project Manager , Tobias Tokbe , said he was not at the scene, but added that beside Ochienu , another worker, Bem Ali , was also brutalised by the soldiers without any reason .

He said , “ I was discussing with the development control officials at the project office when I saw some workers carrying somebody and they told me Ochienu was beaten by the soldiers that accompanied the development control officials to the site ; I was livid .

“ I immediately called the development control director who said he didn’t authorise the soldiers to attack anyone . We asked the soldier why he beat up the engineer and he said Ochienu grabbed his jacket , which we know was a lie. ”

Tokbe said the riot policemen guarding the estate almost fought with the soldiers after the incident.
When contacted , the Development Control Director , Muktar Galadima, said he was informed about the incident and “ I said sorry , but I didn ’ t see the victim of the attack

Crime / Boko Haram Invade Borno Again Killed Eight And Abduct Women And Children by olsamlaw(m): 6:07am On Jan 25, 2017
Ndahi Marama
MAIDUGURI— Boko Haram terrorists, Monday night, invaded Dzaku village of Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State, killed eight persons and abducted an unspecified number of women and children.
Sources in the affected community disclosed that some terrorists came into Dzaku in two Hilux vehicles, armed with AK-47 rifles and petrol bombs, with which they wreaked havoc without confrontation.
Askira Uba is in Southern Borno senatorial district and about 180 kilometres from Maiduguri, the state capital, that had witnessed series of deadly attacks in the past.
An indigene of the area residing in Maiduguri, Mr. Amos Ali, disclosed that one of his sisters was amongst those abducted by the attackers.
He said: “Because of lack of telecommunication service, we could not be contacted that night. We later received a distress call from our community on Tuesday (yesterday) that
Boko Haram insurgents attacked our people and killed eight before abducting several others, including my sister.
“We are worried, especially now that the military said it has eliminated terrorists from the region.”
All efforts to get confirmation from the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Victor Isuku, proved abortive, as his mobile lines were not reachable at the time of press.
