Thank you somuch Beautyaddy for all ur comments and contributions...but for your sake...I'll be back here to post my successful entry experience into the U.S for this delivery and you'll join me to praise God for His amazing grace and favour...on God,I put my trust...Mark 10:27

Beautyaddy:
Says Who?

They have sent pregnant women back at the POE for reasons best known to them.

So yes, she's not above being sent back.

As usual whatever preventive from negative repercussions advise one can give her will not change anything with her mind already made up.

Thanks alot Bluefin...God bless
Bluefin:
Don’t try this. They have nothing to lose if they cancel your existing visa and still deny the new application. Just follow option 3 from poster above, hold your money and the intent letter change email.

Don’t accept any discount, pay all your bills.

Thanks alot Omobendel
All advice, opinions n cautions have been noted...
I'd do my best n trust God to do d rest...
Tnx everyone n God bless u all
OmoBendel24:
Since things changed last year, I usually will advise you run with the quite risky but the very best option 1. But option 3 is the best for your case being that you did use the visa for its initial purpose, went ahead later to birth with it having sent in a Notification/Change of Intent Letter that was acknowledged and you also stated clearly at POE then what you were in the US for. Currently, you won't have issues at the POE, you are actually qualified to Birth with the B1/B2 visa in the US and you are in good standing as it were for such.

Only ensure a solid burden of proof including payment receipts for previous missionary journey embarked upon, do things now in preparation for visa renewal, especially paying well for this particular birthing to bring some sort of equilibrium per the previous one if at all you didn't pay well for it then (you can also look for a way round upping whatever you paid just in case you see as today in your assessment that it was low. Someone said and I support same, if there's no way to officially up payment for previous bills, do some documented/receipted charity to the facility please).

Give it a go.... Best wishes!
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Oluchijiv: 5:37pm On Jan 11, 2020
Option 3 seems to be the best bet as all others seem to have heavier consequences...
Option 1...applying for a new visa wtout d expiration of the old visa may trigger cancellation of the old visa n subsequent denial
2...bears the same weight...n even stress of travelling, air fare and being sent back
4...U already wrote d consequences...
So i'd probably just embark on correct fasting and prayers for option 3...if am been denied subsequent renewals later even after i've proven my payments wt receipts then i'd just take a chill pill...I can't come and kill mysef...but I'll keep hoping for the best by God's grace n favour
Thanks alot guys...I truly appreciate all ur opinions and advice
Bcpump:
you have four options.

1) Apply for a B2 visa where you present your proof of burden and have a breezy easy entry to US if approved

2) Risk going in with this and get sent back at the POE with a cancelled visa

3) Risk going in with this and be successful then hope for a successful renewal...

4) Go ahead with sending the change of intent and be told by the embassy to do step no 1....they will mark your details so if you go ahead to travel with the visa after you have been told to reapply, you will not be allowed in.

The truth is none of us here can be sure of what will happen. the VOs have their own mind. Number 3 may even be good for you. it is just a chance you should be willing to take. Some people have done and renewed successfully
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Oluchijiv: 4:59pm On Jan 11, 2020
So what then do I do ooooo...should I just travel without informing d embassy of my plans?
Wont it Jeopardise my being allowed into d states at d POE and future renewal as well?
Am very much confused
Reine22:
Search for change of intent email/letter in the search bar of the page. You will see the responses to the letters and the subsequent cancellations and invitations for interviews. The letter holds no weight and can jeopardize your existing visa and future visa chances
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Oluchijiv: 1:48pm On Jan 11, 2020
Thanks alot Omobendel
But like i wrote earlier, I wrote same letter to inform them d last time n they responded wtout any cancellations but I just want to know whats happening currently which is y i came on dis platform for assistance...if u have better ideas or opinions...kindly share wt infos and insights so we all that are unaware can learn...thank u
OmoBendel24:
Seems though, that you are not willing to research on this. How about you send that message and your visa gets cancelled as was done to a couple of persons last year? Kindly ensure you understand what the time says before you send that letter to them oh!

That email address I think is LagosNIV@something something
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Oluchijiv: 10:34am On Jan 11, 2020
Ok ma'm, thanks for the info...please can you provide me the contact details you were given/used to reach them for such requests and changes...thank u
Bcpump:
very correct. my first baby i did a change of intent letter in 2017 and then it was working. During my renewal, the VO asked if i was going to use the visa to give birth and indicated i would if i got pregnant in future. And she told me how to contact them if i did. As soon as i did i contacted them and they asked for some information then updated the records and asked me to proceed and return with my receipts.

Change of intent letter is no longer relevant as at 2019/2020. except things change. However, you can try your luck. Who knows? Things may have changed as at today.

chibertha:
Team April 2020 mine is first week too going to Houston.
For birth certificates and passport, it depends on location, eg if its Houston you can get everything 4 days after birth
you go to birth records 4 days after delivery in the morning after which you go to regional passport office to apply for expedited passport and get it same day if you get there very early, (note only possible if you are traveling in few days time and will need a visa) so you have to go with travel itinerary to convince them.

Hmmm...such forms no longer exist.

If you didn't tell the VO that you were going to use the B1/B2 visa for medical during your last interview and you end up using the US visiting for childbirth ...you might be face with difficulties during your next renewal.

Caution!
Thanks for ur caution Addy...but its best we focus on my present worries for now...n prior to my going for my delivery d first time i had already used d visa for d purpose ofwhich it was granted (family vacation) n before commencing on my delivery trip i sent dem a notification of intent letter which they responded to, I also told d clearance officer d purpose of my visit at d POE wen i got to d U.S...

No emphasis on the figure paid the last time, and the figure to pay now? I think there should be. Every other thing seem to tick right as it were, but we can never say never with these peeps you know.... I can see too it seems she was pregnant already at the time of visa acquisition, and these people tend to be retroactive too in recent times, we need factor all these in. I'm actually concentrating my calculations on visa renewal as she at the end of the day and of this current visa would have successfully holidayed and birthed twice without encumbrances surely.
After dis comment...i had to go back to my records just to be sure...hospital charged around 4500 and doctor's charge was around 2200...there were other fees dat were paid after delivery like immunizations and some other tests that were conducted after we were discharged...but can't get d exact amounts that were paid
Now i discovered something else as i had to call the place i stayed to know if more receipts were sent in...
Gdmorning everyone...(please kindly advice me on wat to do)
In relation to my previous post...upon making enquiries for my previous delivery in the U.S.. I contacted d place i stayed while i was in d u.s and they said 3mails were sent in for me...and on opening d mail they found out it was a bill from d hospital sent in after i had left d country, now it seems d hospital had gone ahead to contact a recovery agency since they dint hear from me...
I need to clear up d bill which is about 500dollars(which was sent to dat address about a year ago)...but how do i go about it so it wont affect my travelling for delivery next year?

i know someone who got a visa for visiting purposes, used it for holiday, then went to give birth first time, then was about using it to give birth again the next year but was sent back at POE. I am still not sure why she was sent back the second time but allowed the first, even though it was just a year apart and the visa was still valid.
So maybe you are right, even though the boxes are ticked, they will definitely ask for the last receipts and you never can tell if they will be pleased or not with the results.
My case will surely be different in Jesus name...God will grant me favour in their sight...I'll ensure i carry all necessary documents just incase...thank u

Thank you somuch for ur contribution Omobendel...am going to a different city this time n its a different doctor too, the fees are relatively d same cos its same state and still about d same fees like d previous delivery (though slightly more)...but i have my receipts of payments for previous delivery n i was even supposed to get a refund which i cudnt pick up b4 leaving d country last yr...about my conceiving prior to visa acquisition...I had no idea i had taken in during the whole visa process until d following month (after i had already been granted d visiting visa)...I really pray n hope all goes well at d POE, though i also intend to travel wt d kids too in March...I know my visa renewal after ds might be dicey but am willing to take my chances...its my last baby so i pray it all goes well

Good evening all. Just started following this travel section late last year. We were at the embassy in Jan 2017 as a family and we were denied. Here goes our transcript :
Vo: Goodmorning
Hubby: Goodmorning
Vo: passport pls
Hubby gives him all four passport
Vo noticed my hubby just renewed his 2yrs UK visa and he took his passport and went to check something out.
Vo: directed his question at me have you travelled outside the country before?
Me:yes pls
Vo: When?
Me: 2014
Vo: Where
Me:UK
Vo took our passport and confirmed the previous travel visa.
Vo: What are you going to do in the US?
Hubby: we re going get on vacation
VO: Where?
Hubby:Houston
Vo: Any family in Houston?
Hubby:No
Vo: What would you do there
Hubby : we would visit bla bla bla
Vo: what do you do
Hubby: I work with bla bla
Vo: as what
Hubby:Sales manager
Vo: typing as he was asking and drinks from a water bottle while just staring at us
Vo:How much do you earn
Hubby: bla bla I also earn commission and quarterly pay amounting to bla bla
Vo: So ma'am what do you do
Me: I work with bla bla bla as bla
Vo: How much do you earn
Me: I told him
Vo: How much do you plan for this trip?
Hubby: without think said 3.5M
Vo: How much do you have in your bank account now
Hubby : 1.8 as at today but I have my quarterly payment for 2 quarters which will come in this week and will raise my Bal to 4.2.
Vo drank again and asked me ma'am can you confirm for me how much your husband has for this trip(I just sensed something wasn't right) I confirm same amount.
Vo :So how is business right now?
Hubby :said business was fine bla bla bla
Vo: looked at the four of us and said am sorry but you do not qualify for a visa today and hands over the blue paper. Hubby was stunned
We had promised our kids we would take them to the US in April 2017 during the Easter period and my kids didn't understand we were not given visa, they just want a vacation. So I applied for UK visa along with my kids since my hubby had already and we went to the UK for our Easter vacation.
Now we're ready to visit again this time in summer. I want to change our destination to Disney land florida, would this raise any question on why the change of destination and is our ties strong enough to get the visa because we re still going as a family.
and incase u are finally able to get enough funds for d vac n u want to reapply to visit flourida, its Disney world dat is in orlando flourida while disney land is in California...do take note...
