Abiola Abimbola was the General Secretary of the University of Ibadan Students Union in 2011.

He is currently battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma - a type of cancer that attacks the lymphatic system. Abiola is the 3rd born in a family of four children raised by a single mother. He is an engineer at KIA Motors (Dana Motors), he also organizes tutorials for students in his spare time, helping them prepare for exam but his condition has left him unable to work as much he did before.

He was diagnosed about two years ago. He has been going through various medical treatments at the University Teaching Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria, but his situation hasn't improved, and his doctors advised him to leave the country as he needs specialized treatment which includes a combination of a Bone Marrow Transplant and Chemotherapy to save his life.

No donation is too small and everything will help to ensure that he is able to get the essential medical treatment he needs.

He need about 13 Million naira to live again.

Any funds not spent will be donated to a charity supporting others who are also fighting cancer. God bless you as you donate and as you keep him in your prayers.

Please forward all donations to - 0693199843, Abiola Abdulwaheed Abimbola. Access Bank Plc.

I don't have any problem with him. I was not just cool with the way he attacked time2smile. This is a faceless forum and we should be careful because we don't know who is behind the mask.
kallowdean:
Senior Brother,
You have been in this country long before us, I just spoke again with this guy to why he deleted Previous transcripts. And he said they were comments asked about schools and GPA that no one actually responded to. The guy is cool Sir. I have contacted him to redeem his image.
Cheers!

This place is more like a family. What people don't know is that getting a visa is just a step in the right direction. Life after school is more challenging and you need people with experience to help you navigate your way through.

@Time2smile,
Please be careful with lies, it can destroy your life. I have never deleted anything called Visa transcripts and I feel you are just a Liar. I will not say more than that. Just show your proof the comments were Visa Transcripts!!
Use of English 101, read and understand.
He said you deleted your pre-visa approval posts and he was right.
Just take it easy

From our last discussion early this year, you should start applying early in your last semester. Some jobs would look at your location and how much you have left in school. This is the time you should start your post opt application too. Dont forget that it takes about 3 months to get the work authorization and a semester is about 4 months. Visa sponsorship for a Chemistry job is rare. Your best bet is to get job in a research institute and see if they can retain you after your opt. All the best!
Thanks Egbon!

The tips you’ll need will depend on what type of jobs you’re looking for.

6. Apply early! Anticipate that the process can take months.

7. Be upfront about your immigration status. Better to be rejected early in the process than after you and your future employer have gone far in the process.

I’ll stop here for now. If you have more specific areas you want me to touch, let me know.
Thanks for this. I've heard from gurus here and things like this are very helpful as no one is an island of knowledge. I am an analytical chemist and what I do is separation science and environmental fingerprinting; basically using chromatography and mass spectrometry to detect environmental pollutants. My interest is not limited to this because I can also work as a QC chemist in pharmaceutical industries but I fancy my chances as a lab analyst in a food, drug amd envirinmental analysis laboratory.
On applying early, how early should one apply? I've heard different opinions about this.
Also, the main challenge as we all know is visa sponsorship. How can one navigate this puting into consideration OPT work authorization? Thanks.

Unfortunately, other than wait, there is nothing, absolutely nothing you can do once your application is in AP. You just have to hope for the best.

Sorry bro. This is the reason the embassy encourages everyone to apply well in advance of intended travel.
Bros, can you share some job application tips when you are less busy?
