Hope you've fully recovered. Ndo o!

From my experience, Mr.Biggs' quality depends on location. So, for me all Mr.Biggs are not Mr.Biggs. I believe they are into franchise and they ain't doing good job of it. I feel comfortable with Biggs on the Island but have been disappointed with the ones in locations like ipaja, Sango, etc even the one at Maryland serves shit at times. So, shine ya eyes b4 you wack in any Biggie Biggie! grin grin grin

Hnmnmnm! yawning!

What a sunny day
Having been beaten by the inevitable sun of my mother land
I finally made it home
Gosh! need something extremelly chilled to step it down
opening the refrigerator and doing a quick scan .  . . . .
Coke . . Nope!
5 Alive nope!
Kunnu . . NOPE!
Zobo . . .Nope!
Pinto .  ,    (Never mind! only the ijinle panpams can decode  tongue)
Then it struck me like lighten . . . ,  . .

G4 . . .  grin
Garium Sulphate . . .  grin grin
Leebu . . .  grin grin grin

Okay, decision taken, now forthe preparation . . . . .

1st, reach for a round 555  wink(don't enjoy G4 in other countainers of different shape and material)
Grabbed a ragolis bottle (1.5l) of chilled water
Measured the "Leebu" with the "bend bend" peak milk thin  wink- old and faithful, it has  always given me the correct measurement in years!
With the leebu carefully measured inside the 555, I poured half of the ragolis water (actually refilled with tap water) on it. Stirred it and alllow it to settle (did I hear you say "then drain the water"wink No way!!! Garium water don cause palaver before o! - reserverd for aother tread. . . back to the prep, and guess what? you got it, drain the water, BUT by sipping it slowly  grin grin grin then stopped when it .  ,   , Hey! what about the dirty floating on the water? That it why Leebu is my favourite.  ,  no dirty, no sand, just pure white and very fine!!! Can't beat it!  wink
Anyways, after the draining, added half of the remaining chilled water leaving a quater behind (G4 Maths),  I know added sugar. For me, granulated or any other brand will not do except St louis. And my lucky number is six cubes cheesy
and a pint of salt to taste  you'd better believe me! and even give it a shot. Then added six cubes of iced block for continuous cooling  grin grin grin Now time to  . .   . . smoke? wack?drink? or whatever? Nope! Not yet one more ingridient and this is my favourite part. . .Added G-nuts, not bottled one o! The one from omoelepa that one needs to peel of the cover. This is coming last for a purpose! anyone that can guess right will get a bag of Leebu from me, posted to you wherever you reside on the surface or earth. After peeling the the G-nuts, I simply added the whole lots, like =N=50 worth and . . . . . ,  . . ,  .  . ,  .

TO BE CONTINUED  . . . You don't want to miss the different styles of "SMOKING" the G4 especially the rinsing the 555 with extra water other than the quater remaining. Hang out with me! cool cool cool

Family / Re: Rate Of Father's Death by Olufidu(m): 10:03pm On Jul 04, 2007
@ Aisha2,

Statiscally life expectancy for Nigerian men is 44 years and 43 for women ( source:world populatin data sheet 2006. www.prb.com), this has been ascribed to Environmental and Social  factors. I doubt if htere is anything spirtual about it, we just have poor health habits. I.E we do not go for regular medical check up, change in eating and working habits, Cancers, HIV and AIDS etc

The statistics here is for men and women. My stats is for Dads as in father - "man with kids". Meanwhile, like I said early my stats is purely from observation over a period of time it may not be very accurate but look around you if you are in Nija. Pls let me pose this question a again: if we are all exposed to the same hazard as mentioned, why is the "attack" more on the fathers?

Career / Re: Companies That Demand 2.1's Are Limiting Themselves by Olufidu(m): 9:00pm On Jun 29, 2007
Great tread!

hmmm!

academic intelligence = 1st calss & 2.1
academic "averagees" = 2.2 & 3
academic disaster = pass & drop out
financial intelligence = synergy(Accounting, HR, Maketing, Sale & admin)
financial intelligence = financial freedom
since, academic intelligence, academic "averagees" and academic disaster <>financial intelligence
therefore, 1st class & 2.1, 2.2 & 3 and pass & drop out < > financial freedom
but academic *.* + financial intelligence = financial freedom
Conclusion:
Add "financial intelligence" to WHATEVER grade you have and you get FINANCIAL FREEDOM.           Q.E.D.  cool cool cool

Travel / Re: Traffic Issues In Lagos. What Can Be Done? by Olufidu(m): 4:55pm On Jun 27, 2007
1. ) Re-construct our roads. Let us have good network of road. We can always copy the developed nation where they have achieved a reasonable level of traffick control. For example, we can have more major roads like ikorodu roads & Agege Motor road and let them be parallel and perpendicular to one another. Then install traffick lights at the intersections.
2.) Let government provide buses (luxurious) not "danfo" to shuttle this major roads
3.) Revive our dead railway service and expand its coverage.
4.) Extend railway service to neat-by towns like Ibadan, Epe, Ijebu, etc. (I love to live in Ibadan and won't mind working at Lagos provided there is good transport system)
4.) Set up addidtional mode of transportation like subway
5.)come up with alternate routes to Island from Ikoyi and mail land in order to resolve bottle neck @ Falomo bridge.

Just my 2k.  cool

There is no power in praying.  If you don't use your brain to make good decisions, your family will suffer.
How you feel is very important, but feeling right about a decision doesn't make it right.  It has to make sense.

Religion / Re: How Christians Pray by Olufidu(m): 7:19pm On Jun 13, 2007
To start with, Christ said we should love & pray for our enemies, cool.  cool  But, I have not seen it in my bible where He said we should pray for evil powers - refer to as principalities & power, spiritual wickedness in high places

For those that say some Christians pray against their enemies, please be informed that it is evil powers that they pray against and not mere powerless human foes. The logic is this: human beings are all born equal without any mystical or magical power. We are all born BLANK - so to say - without any spiritual powers. Now, some folks do possess some power which they acquired through consultation with demons (which are falling angels) and they use this power to oppress fellow human beings especially those that do not have Christ. So, what Christians do with their "fire" and Holy Ghost prayers is to disarm them of these evil powers through spiritual warfare. Then, pray, as Jesus commanded, for them (the human foes)  to be delivered (from these powers) and have their salvation. So, if one does not love these "enemies", would one go through the warfare, deliverance and salvation prayers for them? Well, that is simply the way to "love" your enemies in obeying the commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ. But mind you, some hard-core, die-hard agents that have sold their lives to satan will choose to die rather than allow themselves to be divested of these evil powers, and in that case christians can't do nothing other than to allow them you have their wishes. sad  slaves that love their chains will forever live in bondage!

Back to the main topic, there are levels to prayers. One can pray quietly or otherwise as the spirit moves - there is no hard and fast rule about it. But some warfare prayer will not be effective if one does not enforce one's authority with firm tone. Basically, warfare is commanding evil powers to do what they don't want to do and they will resist. If you guys could go throuhg book of Acts, you will find  ".  .and they lifted up their voices" several times,  so loud prayer is not strange in Chritiandom. Furthermore, when Jesus got to the grave of Lazarus, the bible recorded that " . . and he cried in a LOUD voice":

John 11:43

"When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out!" 44The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.
Jesus said to them, "Take off the grave clothes and let him go."

Also, how did Jesus pray on Mount Olives? Let's see in:

Luke 22:44
And being in an agony [of mind], He prayed [all the] more earnestly and intently, and His sweat became like great [Marvin Vincent, Word Studies.] clots of blood dropping down upon the ground.

A prayer that brougth about sweat described as "clot of blood" obviously could not have been a "bread and butter" one. I leave you guys to fix an appropriate picture for it.

If anyone has any question, please keep it coming. cool

. ,  and did someone mention "Mountain of fire" Watch what you say, for angelic slap could be felt physically.  grin grin grin

Shalom
Family / Re: What Is The Value Of A Woman Who Can't Cook? by Olufidu(m): 10:30pm On Jun 12, 2007
Great topic with such diverse opinions and emotions. grin

@ Ladies in the house,

A woman cooks for her family - not her husband alone - because she loves to do so. I cannot but wonder why some women feel like they are slave when they prepare nice food for their families. How do you feel when you see your husband and kids look healthy and well fed courtesy of your cooking skills? It is a thing of joy for a woman to take care of her family and cooking for them is an integral part of this care we talk about. Come to think of it, none of you has mentioned the fact that cooking coud be a good instrument of control! C'mmn ladies! If your husby refuses you anything - and I mean anything at all, give him a correct dish and while he is at it  tongue make your demand and see what happens . . .  grin grin grin

@ guys in the house,

I know the importance of a wife cooking in the house cannot be over-emphasized, but guys I don't believe man should lord it over the woman. The way some guys have been saying it on this forum gives the impression that the woman should slave away under their roofs to feed them. Love your wife and treat her right then she will bring it upon herself to make, and feed you with sumptuous home-made grub that your heart desires; even if she missed the cooking class while grwoing up she won't mind taking a crash course to make up for it in order  to satisfy your apetite, but you need to make her want to do it with love and affection. cool

@ those that support chef or fast food,

This is not acceptable for the long term. angry  The best of chef's food or ff meal cannot equal, not to think of surpassing, a food cooked by a loving wife with all the affection from her heart. Eating is not only about pushing the food down one's throat, what about the emotion and love attached to it. Eating in the house does not only bound the family together it also creates atmoshere of love and care. I can tell mine's emotion by the taste of her food, so there is communication in food. Is anyone feeling me at this point So, what gets communicated to you when you eat the concoction mixed and prepared by some lousy, uncaring, profit-seeking individual.

@ 50/50 palaver,

I don't subcribe to this at all  angry  but I do give in 100% to husby supporting wifey and vice versa in all aspect of their relationship afterall God brought woman to man as helper. And while she is helping him, he is helping her as well; it is vice versa. I don't mind giving "mine"  breakfast in bed or even a week vac from kitchen and that is not to say I won't assist her at other times as I deem fit or when she requests that i do so. If I get home earlier than her, nothing stops me from fixing dinner before she comes in. Guys, if you have ever worked in the kitchen you will appreciate what your loves go through before getting that nice meal to the table.

So, what is the value of a woman who cannot cook?

A woman who cannot cook for whatever reason is simply incomplete and there is no other aspect of her that can make up for this inability to cook.  cool cool cool

@  jenny2007,

Majority evade tax! The tax law is there but who cares!?!?!?? As long there is a "short cut" to it, trust my fellow country men. However, there are companies that can not "help it" like the multinantionals, they dare not or else they will get their as***s burnt. One can actually get one's clearance anytime if one has been paying taxes but with the nornal Naija little stress though.

@ FLT123,

Taxes are no rocket science! Those that handle it are not super humans; it is only that they are priviledged to have the related info and in Nija getting info is stressful.
