Enugurangers:Lol Vanguard and Linda Ikeji Well it is not on CNN, BBC, Al-Jazeera e.t.c. |
Enugurangers:Lol! Don't believe everything you read in the news. The main media didn't even cover it BBC, CNN FOX News e.t.c. Strippers deployed to the war front. Na wa o! |
HigherEd:I am sure you prefer the US. The same country that is currently stealing Syrian oil. The same country that is responding for the death of millions and destruction of properties in different part of the world. The same country that stole gold and oil from Iraq. Russia is a learner. |
Righteousness2:South Korea is not stupid. She will never allow the US to force her to war with North Korea. It is her people that wil suffer the most. |
Siwisheswereesh:The West is the life line of Ukraine. They have been trying to keep Ukraine in the fight. The Ukrainian counter offensive was a failure. In Kharkov, they fought against very few Russian troops. Russia did not have enough troops to protect both flanks at the same time. So they made the decision to protect Kherson (in the south). They move soldiers from Kharkov to Kherson and Kharkov became vulnerable. This decision gave the Ukrainians the opportunity to seize Kharkov. Ukraine took Kharkov under heavy artillery fire and they lost a lots of soldiers. Russian troops were able to retreat with minimum loses. Immediately the Ukrainians got to Lugansk border, where there were substantial Russian troops they counter offensive stall. In Kherson, at first Ukraine launch a huge counter offensive in an open terrain. Russian forces retreated and bombarded them with artillery. The Ukrainians lost a lots of soldiers and immediately stopped the huge counter offensive. The later settled for using reconnaissance group to probe Russian defenses. Each time they tried, they loose huge number of the probing forces. If you remember, when Russia said it will withdraw it troops. They Ukrainians said it was a trap. This is because of the experience they hard. Russia was waiting for Ukraine to engage but they never did. They were scared of loosing more soldiers. But when Russia could not sustain it logistics in the Region and Ukraine was not willing to attack. They pull out all their forces with almost zero casualties. This was achieved by Sorovikin (aka Gen Armageddon). Ukraine is no match for Russia. The counter offensive brought more death to the Ukrainians than never before. They took 50% of Kherson. But they could not occupy it, because of Russian artillery. Kharkov will be taken back by Russia definitely. Now Ukraine has lost the capacity to carry out any major counter offensive. They are waiting their people that are being in NATO countries. They intend to use them in a major counter offensive. Russia is de-militarising Ukraine by killing it soldiers in large number and destroying it equipments. This explain the reason why Ukraine has gone through several mobilization. While Russia has just done one. Taking the whole country will not profit Russia.. it will be hard for Russia to maintain it. The West will turn the Ukrainians to insurgents like they did in Afghanistan. Russia is interested in taking the East (Donbas, Zaprophizia), South (Kherson), North (Kharkov) and may be Odessa. Then probably turn the other part to Afghanistan. |
atmy1:Yea They only talk about Russia casualties. Russia has more artillery than Ukraine. So it is expected that Ukrainian casualties will be higher. Artillery pieces kill more soldiers in this war than any other weapon. |
Before you block me. Please verify on BBC website. |
Source-bbc.com Ukrainian troops on the front lines in the Donbas have told the BBC that Russian forces are "learning every day and changing their strategy" as they continue to gain ground around the heavily contested town of Bakhmut. But the soldiers also insisted that morale remains high, despite growing exhaustion after almost a year of war. The two Ukrainian soldiers swept into the room, still visibly flushed with adrenalin, having just driven straight from the furiously active front lines along the rolling, snow-covered hills further south. Peering over a giant map at their brigade's temporary headquarters, they jabbed at the spots where Russian forces were inching forwards towards a key road. "They were about 400 metres [437 yards] from us, across the field just here. We're holding on, but it's getting harder," said Sgt Denys Kalchuk from the all-volunteer Dnipro-1 Battalion, going on to describe how Russian infantry, fighter jets and artillery units appeared to be operating with growing co-ordination and effectiveness around Bakhmut. "The planes are the worst. You can't hear them until it's too late. It's the same with the tanks. Artillery is easier - at least you might have a second or two [to dive for cover] after you hear them coming," said Sgt Kalchuk. Assessing the overall state of the conflict across the Donbas is extremely difficult. Access is challenging and dangerous, and dozens of different Ukrainian battalions and brigades are working on separate tasks, amid some secrecy, spread out along hundreds of miles of often fast-changing front lines. But after several weeks travelling across the region, and more than a dozen on-the-record interviews and frank off-the-record discussions with a broad range of Ukrainian soldiers, I have seen various themes emerging. For weeks, Russia's notorious mercenary group Wagner has led much of the fighting around Bakhmut, sustaining catastrophic numbers of casualties by launching near-suicidal mass infantry attacks on smaller towns like Soledar. But in recent days, according to some Ukrainian soldiers, Russia's regular army has resumed a more prominent role, with noticeable effect. "It is very hard for us now. We understand that Russia is learning every day and changing their strategy. And I think we need to learn faster," said Dmytro Podvorchanskyi, who heads a reconnaissance unit in Dnipro-1. He and others spoke of the way well-equipped regular Russian forces were now hiding and dispersing their ammunition stores far better and targeting Ukrainian logistics routes more effectively. As a result, they are continuing to gain ground around Bakhmut and threatening another potentially significant town, Vuhledar, further south. But there is no indication, as yet, that Russian forces are poised to make a strategically significant breakthrough. One senior commander said Western supplies had now brought a balance to what had been a deeply uneven artillery war, and that Western tanks could soon tip the overall balance in Ukraine's favour. While it is no surprise that many Ukrainian troops are suffering from exhaustion after months of conflict, morale, in general, appears to be holding. "There have been cases of [Ukrainian] units who don't seem willing to fight, and disagreements [over tactics]," one Ukrainian soldier acknowledged, speaking off the record. Others talked about the trauma of seeing their friends die, of units that had sustained overwhelming numbers of casualties and of the psychological impact of fighting amidst the corpses of so many uncollected Russian soldiers. One soldier, citing fears of a new Russian mobilisation and the huge size of the enemy's population, spoke of his fear that "Russia will grind us down". But most troops we met waved away such doubts, blaming them on exhaustion and - in general - praising their commanders for giving them time to rest. One increasingly common excuse offered for Ukraine's struggles around Bakhmut is the theory that relatively weak and inexperienced units are now being left to hold the line here, while the army's strongest forces are being moved elsewhere ahead of a widely anticipated Ukrainian counterattack, or counterattacks. The location of any such potential offensives remains the subject of much speculation among Ukrainian troops. Some anticipate a push further north, into Luhansk province, while others wonder about an attack south towards Melitopol, in order to isolate and threaten Russian forces in and around the Crimean peninsula. One experienced officer said he believed Russia was looking to straighten its frontline, take a few more chunks of the Donbas, and then declare "mission accomplished" and push for peace negotiations. He said he was sure Ukraine would never agree to that but warned that the military would need Western fighter jets to break through all of Russia's new defences, particularly in the south of the country.

MiaBeer:Putin is not fighting the whole world. He is fighting the West. The West does not represent the whole world or the international community. So Putin is not isolated. Although that what you see on CNN, BBC e.t.c. But in reality EU, Canada, Australia and Japan are just tiny portion of the entire world. These are the countries Western media refer to as international community. Which is weird. If the international community isolates Russia. Russian economy would have been completely destroyed and the war would have ended. Russia was not interested in an all out war with Ukraine. They knew the cost. So Putin wanted to scare the Ukrainians and it's supporters with the invasion. It almost worked. But the moment Boris Johnson went to Kiev to convince Zelensky not to negotiate, Russia became stuck, now Russia has no other choice than to carry on with the war. Luckily for Russia it military industrial complex can supports long war. She has not run out of missiles or tanks. Also Russian losses is far lower than Ukraine. Ukraine with the population of 40m before the war has gone through series of mobilization (4-5 times). Russia carried out just one mobilization. In which out of the 300k mobilised troops, only 80k has joined the fight in Ukraine. The rest are still under going training. It is common sense. |
About 65-70% of Ukrainian casualties are caused by Russian artillery fire. Russian artillery is grinding the Ukrainian troops. Ukraine has lost more than 100k soldiers (KIA) & another more than 30k. |
Samade7:Ukraine don't possess long range missiles that can hit deep inside Russia. |
200k troops can not capture the entire Ukraine. The number is too small. |
Tiopii:Russia is trying yo reduce it casualties and that is the why they are using Wagnerians. Russian main troops are being preserved. You will see them in action after the fall of Bakhmut. Bakhmut is the most fortified city in the donestsk. This is mainly because of it importance. So taking it will involve a lots of casualties. Likewise defending it. The Russians has more artilleries. So it is common sense that the Ukrainians casualties will be higher. Artillery is a killing machine on it own. The Ukrainian reenforcement has not stopped Russian from advancing. So they are both taking casualties but the Ukrainian casualties are higher. Also the Russian main troops are not the ones dying in Bakhmut. It the private military contractors that are dying. They are being preserved for future offensive in Kramatorsk and Slovyansk. |
okeysoninv:We will find out in Ukraine not on paper. |
okeysoninv:The tank was used by Turkey in Syria and some of them were destroyed. There is no wonder weapon anywhere except Nuclear Weapon. Pix 1-Seize Turkish Leopard 2 tank. ISIS seized the tank. Others Pix-Destroyed Turkish Leopard tank. Turkey lost about 12 to ISIS or Kurdish Fighters.

Akuruoulo:Can't you communicate without insulting people? You need to grow up. Stop getting angry with your phone. If you can't take the heat. Then stay out of the kitchen. Well, I just gave you a taste of your meal. If you believe Russia has no right to dictate to Ukraine. Then Israel also does not has the right to dictate to Syria |
obedience4:Well, this is what we all thought. That the age of large infantry force is over. But now they realise you need men to seize/liberate territories. Your air power can not do that for you. Poland is trying to raise it land forces to 300k,other NATO members are trying to follow suit. Russia is countering NATO by increasing it troops to 1.5m. The US can invade countries thousands of kilometres away, because it has large ground troops. Air power is not everything. Israel invaded Lebanon some years ago. Despite it air superiority, it has to withdraw it troops from the capital because of heavy loses it suffered in the urban areas. Israel was able to pound the country but could not successful seize the capital. Seize urban area can be very hard. You need to fight building by building. You will likely lose soldiers for every building you seize. It is common sense that 30k Russian troops can not take Kiev. Kiev is far developed than Baghdad and Lebanese Capital. Kiev has a lot more buildings than the two mentioned above. So without collaborators, it is impossible for Russia to take Kiev with that number of troops. Russia didn't fail in Ukraine. They were looking for negotiation. |
Uprightness100:Syria is a sovereign nation and it has the right to form/join any military alliance. Israel can not dictate to her. |
obedience4:Well it is yet to be seen. It has not happened. It makes absolutely no sense to say the US air force will perform. During the six day war. People believe that the war was between Israel and The Whole of Arab. But it was actually between Israel and Egypt. Other players like Jordan and Syria has no substantial military. The Korea war happened in the 70's, that was like around 50 years ago(not 100 years). The six day war happened around that time too (1967). If not for the West the war would have ended. Russia is a super power and will continue to be a super power. The strongest countries in Europe like UK, France, German or Italy don't have the capacity to invade Ukraine. UK has about 80k active troops, about 30k reservist & 400 tanks. They can not even occupy Nigeria. Same with France, German and Italy. The only country that has the capacity to do what Russia is doing in Ukraine right now is the US. Russia is doing what UK, France , German or Italy can not do on their own and yet people call her a paper tiger. Is it not ridiculous? |
obedience4:The F-16 fought against the very old mig and not against it fair competitor SU-27 & MIG-29 in Irag. Well, whether the US air force is capable of gaining total air superiority in Ukraine is yet to be seen. The fact is any super can gain air superiority in Ukraine. But not in days or weeks. It takes time. Iraq or Afghanistan did not have S-300 or the BUK Defense Systems or ORCA anti-drone Defense Systems. Russian air force would perform the same the US air force perform in Iraq & Afganistan. Ukraine has a lot of these weapon. Though they are Soviet Defense Systems. But they are very dealt. The ORCA Defense System used by Russia is the reason why there is no more Baraktar Drone in the sky in Ukraine. The problem for Russia is every weapon they destroy, the West replace it. Kindly recheck. During the six day war. The Egyptian air force which used Soviet aircrafts were destroyed on the ground, not in the air. The Israelis carried out a surprise air raid on all the Egyptian air base and they were able to effectively destroy the Egyptian air force. China fought the West in Korea. North Korea took South Korea. The US and it allies came and liberated South Korea and the went for into North Korea. China intervened. Chased the US out of North Korea territory and further went into South Korean territory. The US called for re-enforcement and push the Chinese and the North Koreans out of the South Korean territory and the war became a stalemate. The Chinese are not inexperienced. The Soviet mig-15 fighter jet played a crucial role in that war. The aircraft denied the US air superiority. Just Google mig-15. The aircraft out performed the US fighter jet at a time. Russian air force still control the sky in Ukraine. Their fighter jets may not be able to fly deep into Ukraine. But SU-35 &SU-30 (using anti-radiation missiles) are still being use to carry out SEAD in Ukraine couple with the Lancet drone. The SU-34 & SU-25 are constantly being used on the battlefield. Russian attack helicopter are being used on a daily basis. So the sky is not being contested. Ukraine has not more air force. Although they still have few fighter jets and helicopter. But they can't compete with Russian air force. |
obedience4:Russia does not use GPS. They use GLONASS. Only 3 countries have their own Navigation System. India and EU are currently trying to build their own. US fighter jets and warships are not battle tested. A war with Russia or China will be an avenue for them to be tested. Some of the equipment used by their ground troop have been tested in battle. The Abraham tank used by the Saudis performed badly in Yemen against the Houti rebel and the very expensive Patriot Defense System failed to stop the Houti Rebel drone attack on the Saudi ARAMCO oil field. The trust is, there is no wonder weapon any where. The Russians and the US will always claim their weapon is super. It is marketing strategy. They are both arms exporter. |
Parachoko:Both the West and Russia dish out propaganda. But the West took it to another level when they ban Russian media from operating on their soil and on all socia media platform. They want the Russians to continue to have access to their own propaganda but stop their own people from having access to the Russian side of the story. They call themself free people but that action was tyrannical. The Russians are well informed about the conflict. Because they have access to both Western side of the story and the Russian side of the story. Unlike the Westerners who only have access to one side of the story. |
Parachoko:Under the UN law, a sovereign country has the right to protect itself. But under the same UN law, there is a part which says protecting (securing) yourself must be done in a way that it does not create insecurity in another country. One US policy says that security abroad is security at home. Which is why the US travel thousands of miles to mid east to invade Iraq and Afghanistan. NATO poses great threat to Russia. The Russians don't want to see NATO men and equipments in Ukraine. They want Ukraine to be a buffer zone. Which is legitimate. Russian security concern is legitimate. The US won't allow it in the northern hemisphere too. Many people feel US is a good neighbor to other countries in America. But it is not true. Mexico, Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela e.t.c are not fans of the US. Mexico especially is anti-US and the country dare not form any military alliance with another super power(Russia or China). |

manofnoble:What happened to the Soviet tanks sent to Ukraine last year? Ukraine received around 300 tanks from Poland, Slovakia, Czech e.t.c. They have been destroyed. These Western tanks will be destroyed too. The Leopard 2 and the Challenger tanks are in the same category with the modernize T-72 & -T-80 battle tanks. They are inferior to the T-90M. |
manofnoble:What happened to the Soviet tanks sent to Ukraine last year? Ukraine received around 300 tanks from Poland, Slovakia, Czech e.t.c. They have been destroyed. These Western tanks will be destroyed too. |
British ground troop is also small. The total British ground troops including the reservists is less than 100k. The total number of battle tank in the British army is 400. The UK military don't has the capacity to launch large scale offensive on it own. |
obedience4:The Royal Navy used to be the most powerful navy in the world. But not anymore. It naval fleet has shrunk drastically. Russian navy is far ahead of the Royal Navy. Russian Navy main strength is her Submarine fleet. Apart from the US, no other country has more capable Submarine fleet than Russia. Russia Navy is huge. Although not as big as US & Chinese Navy. They have the Pacific Fleet (the most powerful Russian warships & Submarine belong to the Pacific fleet). They have Baltic fleet, Northern fleet, Black sea fleet and the Caspian Flotilla. Russian navy is not built to project power outside Russia. But to protect Russian coast lines. Russian ships carry enormous fire power. A small Russian Corvette can launch anti ship cruise missile and can also strike land target. |
1stGenAmerican:In Donetsk They just took Soledar and now they are turning on Bakhmut. |
1stGenAmerican:You are one of the people who said the Ukrainians are better equipped for the winter than the Russians. I understand that this disinformation was all over the western media. Now the evidence is out in the open. The Russians are now on the offensive. While the Ukrainians are on the defensive. Ukraine is still standing because of the overwhelming military and financial aids, it has been getting since 2014. Otherwise... |
castro2468:It is nuclear weapon that Russia is using to wreck Ukraine? |
Kelvin3476:Russia is not interested in attacking any nation, except if it security is under threat. It is the United States that engage in such. Russian military is designed to defend Russia and it interests. |
