Healthserve is a thief. I mean a hardened criminal who goes about looking for people to scam.

Upper year, he was selling Facebook accounts.
Last year, he was selling gnld.
From there, he started an imaginary farm.
Recently, he was promising people 200% if they invest in his business.
In August, he was in the property section fighting for real estate agency fees.

After that, he claimed to have 5 Nissan cars on hire purchase? Thereafter, he had forgotten he said that when he started begging someone to give him a bus for hire purchase.

Go and check this guy's posts. He roams about Nairaland looking for innocent prey to fall victim of his scams.

But as it is, I am not convinced you guys understamd what you are doing. And this is a business that has sent many to the early grave. I know a cocoa exporter who shot himself in the head when he ran into a serious debt because his goods were rejected. The person did not even know about ways to protect himself.

But here is my question which you guys have not answered. If he cannot still convince me that his small importation business did well, how can he convince me to invest in this huge business. This is your assignment. Work on it. And return with a very good proposal.

Ok...here is what you should do. Get the buyer to send you specification of the goods he needs. Do not promise to supply...or do not commit yourself. Then, walk your way down to the local producers. Make sure you get the samples to a laboratory and test. If it doesnt meet spec, find a way to improve on it, or find another producer. If you see that you cannot still meet up with the standard, try to know the best quality you can get, and return to your buyer. He may still accept it, but with a reduced price.

My point is that make sure you are able to supply the exact specification agreed on, and have a good contract. Then after, learn how to get paid when doing international business. The seller does not have to supply first all the time. Do your Chinese suppliers send you thier products first before you pay? Lol.

Personally I think you jumped in with both legs. I'm also a young entrepreneur but I know that every business needs to grow and growth takes time. All those incorporated, website gbo gbo e nah over do. What you need now is to be a middle man(broker) to gather the funds you needs. You did amazing and you have a really nice platform, the locals don't. But they have the produce. So, produce+platform=Product.

Oga, go and work for an established export company first, to learn the ropes properly and build connections with the suppliers, of these products.

By the time they start knowing and trusting you, then you might get some items at a reduced rate, or partner with them to let you export a few tonnes on credit, and then pay later after your customers have paid you.

In every business, you have to start small. So pick the commodities that are not capital intensive. A few kgs of Bitterkola, vegetables, onions, etc.

Raw Cashew Nut (RCN) is capital intensive. Even the big boys can't do 100tons. 100tons is about 180,000usd or more if the order is CNF and a little more with insurance (CIF).

Forget about letter of credit (confirmed or not), you still can't achieve anything with it without a collateral. Even with a transferrable LC, you still need money to transfer an LC.

From the tone of your chat, you are still a greenhorn.

You need experience to approach BOI as well.

Have you done any export before, obviously no. But you want to start with RCN, lol.

The big boys don't even have a website, they prosper on referrals.

Boy, raise 100k and start with few kgs. Visit the source of the commodity you want to export. Most of you just sit opposite the PC thinking everything will come to you. Visit NAHCO to get quotes because those few kgs will go via air.

It is not even RCN season yet.

I set it to breach that gap.I have gotten all necessary tools to work and ready for business. I Opened a dormicillary(dollar) account as well as current account with sterling bank. I Apply for export license and open a website for the company(I won't drop the website name here sorry). Lastly, I did premium registration with a b2b website(go4world.com) to get customers.Etc. But my hands are tied as I don't have capital to work. The buyers are coming to my website and I do get demands through my email every single day for products I can easily source here in Nigeria and export to them and make money in US dollars. They are serious and ready to buy but demands for prove that i have the product ready. What they demand is this. I wan buy from u. You get am ready in bag? If no, no deal then. If I get capital, I buy it and package it in company brand packaging. I don't just know how to get capital. I just dey frustrated and afraid that the company will go down the drain as a dream. I met bank but them no gree give me loan because I have no collateral and my company na start up.

Please how can I get loan for start up? How can I get a serious investor to finance my company and keep my dream alive?
