That's a good idea brother... but how about the cash involved? Anything could happen if u comes over to UAE and then port to these countries from here which is quite easy compared to been processed from Nigeria cos ur international experience counts. My opinion though.

I also do posses a Bsc in geology and Msc in applied Geophyiscs with with Nebosh igc and iogc...came into Dubai just 4months ago and I got a safety Job... now am running my ISO courses here. Brother, just be hopeful... try and do some professional courses...on safety, the nebosh igc or come over and hustle then have it done. Start from somewhere and before u know it... U have landed the dream job. As Natty said, don't stay one place pursue good certs and earn good money here. Everything deals with prayers and God's favour. U will make it.

it's being issued at the airport during your departure, I think it's around 1k, it might be checked by the immigration in other African countries Incase you boarded pick & drop flight, uae don't ask for it. Though during mine, I didn't get the card and I never had issues

you can't do bsc without olevel

Lolz...at the UAE embassy, it's any u would wanna attestate o.... In as much as u are gonna provide both the original and the photocopy authenticated at the ministries. For me, I only authenticated my Bsc and Msc at the embassy but had all done at the ministries cos the waec or neco is a must there.

at the MOE and MOFA, u would have to authenticate both the neco and waec cos that's what u used in gaining admission... which is 1k each for the scratch card. Unless ure lucky and they accept just ur neco... cos without this they won't go on with ur Bsc. But at the embassy... u can do anyone u want to provided u bring in ur original and photocopy.... and it's 18k per document...

Went for a laundry work which is 1200aed agent collected 800aed, the work is standing through out. 8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am, out of 30days in a month 2 days free. No 2years working visa only visa change. (what if the company is owing you, you can charge the company to court coz you are still on visit visa. Inother case the company may decided to use your three months visa and not doing visa change so after your three months you come back home.

Bro... u just got in. Believe and search for other jobs. Why did you accept this at first? Please try and look for another. U will get a better one bro.

go read my write up again....@tunji. Another friend just secure one just last week. Cos he was a security officer there...buh he did his NEBOSH and one of the ISO... how he is working in abu dhabi. I didnt say with NEBOSH u will automatically get a safety officer job. I said start from somewhere and get better certifications in ur chosen field.

@tunji.... am not a new person in safety cos have got some yrs of experience in it., that's my chosen path. What other certifications do u think I could go for other than my 3 ISOs 14001, 18001 and 9001 which is about 600k for the three and also going for NEBOSH diploma which is like 1m not to talk of other little ones like fire fighting etc. U asked a friend of mine for the ISO materials and he sent them to you... is it not to upgrade urself over there?
@ natty... u see that safety isnt cheap at all... For just the 4certs nah 1.6m., and it's not easy too.

It's not bout dubia been saturated... things can turn around for just you where u lest expect. I would only say that guys should remain optimistic when in UAE... The job u get when u arrive use it in getting urself equipped in good certifications that can aid you for a better position after working for some months.... am not in UAE but have done my attestation and will arrive soon... I do posses Msc in Applied Geophysics, Bsc in Geology and mineral sciences, with NEBOSH intl cert in Oil and Gas safety IOGC and NEBOSH IGC...and also will do my ISOs when I arrive by God's grace with the job I get. I don't mind starting from somewhere when I arrive. All is about determination and zeal to be great. Cos jobs scarce for naija o and people dey lose jobs anyhow. Just believe and pray... everything would work out.

There are still opportunities there compared to Nigeria.... people dey lose jobs everyday for the fear of the unknown. Even India wey dey buy our oil are now planning on the use of EVs. For me his HSe depends on what he has.... he's been there for 2yrs, he should have upgraded himself in terms of certifications.... do his ISO and the rest., why did he have to wait till the thing kalas? Just asking o cos I don't know much about UAE

but also thought most companies renew the visa for their employees.... just thinking o

You have to go to Abuja or send your documents to a trusted proxy in Abuja that can help you with the process from Ministry of Education to Ministry of Foreign Affairs to UAE Embassy in Abuja.

Check the front page of this thread to have an idea of the cost per document.

at the embassy, it's now 18k per document.

Good morning fellow... really admire this trend on it's achievement and help. Have always been told that been in the UAE gives more advantage than securing from outside...cos it makes the work of the organisation more easier. Am on my processing to leave SOON by September. Am an holder of M.sc in Applied geophysics...and B.sc in Geology and Mineral Sciences... With some professional courses... NEBOSH Intl technical certificate in Oil and Gas Operational safety(IOGC) and NEBOSH IGC... Have been told told bout the importance of some ISO courses like ISO 18001., which gives better edge over there. Do have eye for the oil and gas sector, if it comes when I arrive, good but am ready to start from somewhere in other to get other certifications done. Please gurus in the house... hope this my little education and experience would grant me a start over there...to push my career. God bless.

He said most people without education and experience are much over there. So get urself equipped and let God answer our prayers.
