Mummies please I want to do family planning (IUD) please advise
Thank

About FP, pls go for whatever works for you, I've been on IUD since last year March and up till now I have no complaints. Some people claimed that it makes them bleed unnecessarily, but not so in my case, above all, why works for me may not work for you, so look for what works for you

URGENT.. URGENT.. URGENT

Hello mummies, I'm new on this thread. Thanks for opening the thread.
Pls I'm experiencing something strange. I gave birth via CS (baby is now 10months old) & period returns 6months after but it wasn't regular. It kept on coming almost 1 week interval for like a day or 2days ND normal period will still come on the normal date for the month. I complained & I was told hormones haven't regulated & I was given ERYTHROMYCIN & it has stopped since January but my period for February isn't coming & I've done PT test twice & it's negative. Now I see watery discharge. Though not smelling lik Dat but it's much. Sometimes the liquid will just pump out as if it's my period coming. I'll have to use panty liner.
Pls I'm worried as I have been trying for baby No 2 since December but nothing is sticking. Is it because I delivered via CS or something isn't right?
Pls what do I do. I'm really worried.
Thnx

Pls go and see a gynecologist. It is well with you

Hi mothers,
I'm new here, a first time mum after waiting for 7yrs, I don't lactate and my baby has been taking nan 1
I need help
My baby will be 3 months by month end and she is experiencing a terrible colic pain, I did my research and discovered my baby has animal milk intolerance. To confirm I gave her pap for 2 weeks and d pain disappeared, but I had to go back to formula because the pap was making her loose weight. Immediately we went back to formula the colic pain started again
I wanted to start giving her formula that has soya milk in it instead of animal milk, example is ISOMIL but they're scarce in d market, I've gone to a lot of supermarkets but can't find Isomil
I'm typing with pain, mothers pls help me šŸ™

Am facing similar challenge, gave birth on the 30th May via CS , my sister started using feeding bottle to feed the baby despite the nurse's admonition. Now , baby prefers bottle to breast and am still not 100% lactating.

Dr advise constant putting of baby to breast before feeding with bottle .Hmmm.Its well I've always been a fan of EBF but see me now.How I wish my baby will start sucking I'll be the happiest person.

Mama, calm down, I was also in your shoes six months ago, delivered through CS and baby must eat, so syringe to the rescue, eventually, she refused to suck, if I put her to breast, na sos so cry cry. She didn't want to exercise her cheeks muscles. A nurse actually helped me out one night in the hospital, we sat down at it, she cried and cried and I was also sweating. But eventually she cooperated, so I will still recommend you putting your baby to the breast, it's better like that, or get a breast pump and bottle feed. But when he's not so hungry, continue to put him to the breast and don't let anyone make you feel less than the best that you are. You two will be fine kiss

I don't know if it is late but I suggest you take TIGERNUT in any form! Make milk out of it, eat it raw like that or the powereded form. Just take enough Tigernut, you will see massive difference

Thank you ma

Just have paracetamol ready incase she develops temperature after collecting the vaccine... Some mums administer it before while some mums administer it immediately after baby takes the vaccine... I think the latter is better though both helps baby to neutralise the pain

Ok ma. Thank you

Welcome to motherhood.

The journey is sweet yet exhausting and the first 12weeks are the hardest. You should actually be worried if your 3week old sleeps throughout the night.

3 weeks is way too young to establish a night time sleep pattern so donā€™t wait for a decent sleep just yet plus you need to wake every 2/3hrs to feed and change diaper at that stage.

Once baby gets to 4months they would require just one feed/diaper change at night and will sleep throughout, then you would gain a few hrs sleep too.Does baby cry?.There are newborns who cry inconsolably for hours and medical professionals will generally diagnose such crying as colic when it lasts for at least three hours at a time.Or does baby just stay awake quiet?. thatā€™s their character.

Do you give baby a bathe at night and play some calming music and/or read a story ?,that plus the sound of your voice relaxes and helps them settle at night BUT not for a 3weeks old.

What do you do?.For now chin up mum, youā€™ve got this and the phase will pass.

BS

I started having contractions on Wednesday 18th evening, and it didn't stop throughout the night. My husband woke up and started packing the hospital bag and he also boiled water, I was just laughing at him. We got to the hospital on Thursday around 4pm, I was checked and they said I was only 2cm and the cervix is not properly located, so they tried to bring it forth and I was placed on admission. I had contractions throughout the night as well. Regular ones. So when it was 6am, I was taken to the delivery room because I was already 5cm dilated. From that 6am till 11am, there was no progress in dilation, so they set oxytocin for me to aid it.
Then the contractions started in earnest, not stopping and I was almost running mad, my membrane was ruptured but the head of the baby did not come down into the cervix. They tried all they could but it wasn't working. From 11am to 3pm, I was seeing death and life in that room, later they checked my BP, pulse, fetal heartbeat and it was discovered that her heartbeat is dropping. That's how they stopped the oxytocin and prepared me for emergency CS. I entered the theater by 3:20pm, I couldn't walk, couldn't sit, lying down was another issues and I was dripping liquid embarassed. Eventually the baby was brought out by 3:26pm, and I was taken to the ward around 5pm where another side of life began. We were finally discharged on Tuesday and we had our naming ceremony yesterday.
Recovery is another thing entirely... Still in process .
So sorry if my story is disjointed
