We Haven’t Suspended Strike Totally ASUP Disclosed, May Continue Industrial Action Soon. The National President ASUP, Anderson Ezeibe, while speaking in an interview with our journalist recently, noted that it is wrong for individuals to claim that the union as suspended its strike.

He stated, “lt is necessary to clarify this. We did not suspend any strike, we only embarked on a two-week warning strike and after the end of the two weeks, we told our members to resume work pending the outcome of the National Executive Council meeting. So, we think it is wrong to say that we suspended the strike totally. He continue by saying that out of the nine demands, only four have been met and those four are.

The Federal Government has announced a bold step toward ending the tertiary education strike, stating that it will spend N25 billion as arrears of Minimum Wage Consequential Adjustments in the education sector effective from 2022.

I encounter similar issue as well, Comrade it's going to be okay.
It's was covid year, after I stayed at home for few months, I put a message across to them telling them(desired company for my IT). I will like to start my internship, so I did started during that covid year and upon resumption I went there for the main internship unfortunately my school reduced IT period to 4month instead of 6month that year, lucky for me I already had started long time ago, got paid during the period.

Still ought to have graduated last year as well , covid and these ongoing strike is just extending it. Nevertheless I always utilize this period oh,
I still hope and pray for goodnews about the strike soon

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso ,has directed their staffs and students to resume for the continuation of First semester academic activities on Thursday May 26,2022.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) tackle LAUTECH and made it clear to them that they won’t teach if students resume. They promise not to engage in any academic activities despite the management directives.
