The Lagos State University has approved a process ,Lagos State University Examination System, as a final winding down. This is actually a different entity from LASU. LASU is different from LASUES. A Union ,the National Association of University Student had given Federal Government 2 days to finalize all their agreement with Academic Staff Union of Universities in order to end the ongoing strike embarked by the Union. NANS in south-west has reiterated its stand with ASUU amidst the ongoing strike embarked by the Union. The NANS in South-West led by Adegboye Olatunji segregated itself from what it described as a heedless, thoughtless and purblind from people trying to make ASUU look like the villain. The Deputy Coordinate, Alao John, of the South-West Zone signed a statement, which stated that the federal Government should preferably as a matter of urgency yield to memorandum of agreement with ASUU. According to The Minister of Labour and Employemnt, Senator Chris Ngige, said the ongoing warning strike is illegal because the demands of the union had already been addressed since last year. he also said, ” The strike was a clear breach of the law”. On Tuesday , the Kwara state Governor, AbdulRahman Abdulrasaq said every Muslim girl has the right to wear Hijab to school if they choose to in the state. In his statement by his spokesperson, Rafiu Ajakaye said that Kwara state is a diversity and peaceful environment as the southernmost northern state . He also noted that there is a court judgments which were built on the constitution of Federal and State Laws, sanctity of the right of every person to their identity, principle of pluralism and the use of hijab in public space such as school.
