I currently live in Europe, I'm not a citizen of the country I reside. But whatever law that affects the citizens also affect me. Whatever benefits the citizens enjoy I also enjoy. The government has never come out to say that they have given we the foreigners everything because it's give and take. I pay my taxes. It's a responsibility of a government to provide basic amenities, secured environment and what have you to her citizens. Is only in Nigeria politicians boast that they have built roads, bridges, market.... Did you built those things with your money? It's a primary responsibility for every responsible government to make these things available for citizens and that's the reason you were elected in the first place. Quote from a sensible Nigerian
