Mujtahida: Ogu brings a passive Feminine kind of energy that calms and stabilises the team. He's like a glue. Go watch our match against Argentina. Even when we were on the back foot, the whole team was calm. Joel Obi has negative erratic energy. Destabilizes the team. He's like a transformer that needs a step down if not na so bulbs and appliances go dey blow pow pow. Ask Balogun. Joel Obi off something inside Balogun brain with him gri gri. Joel Obi was trying to give a 100% when his body was saying NO, he is not sharp/inform as opposed to being fit. Fitness precedes form. A player can be fit as a fiddle yet out of form. Form has to do with your brain and body getting in tune with the rhythm of the game. When Joel's mind synchronizes with the tune of the game you will see a monster. Ogu is calm but he can be a little sluggish but I guess he makes up for that with his positioning. The man is hardly out of position....very smart |

forgiveness: Musa Mohammed wey no fit make bench for Turkish league and ordinary Bulgarian league na em dey far more talented?
Somebody wey don dey win MOTM awards in his first full season, na em no get talent?
I can tell you Ebuehi is not better than Ehizibue but na wetin you see you wan see. Goldfish has a very solid point. Aina was sold on his ability to play both full backs and it was on that premise he was invited. But the right back was already occupied and he had to be pushed to where help was needed,LB. However,I still feel he should be given another chance but this time in the RB which is his natural position. As relates to talent I can't make a comparison between him and Musa because I haven't seen him play in the RB |

People wey dey scream Moses up and wey no gree us hear word wetin Moses play against England. Every time VicMo has the ball his only aim is to beat somebody and score a goal. Dude has no team spirit in him. Chidiebere Nwakali would be more effective on that wing against England. |

princfred: It was the same Onazi who gave super eagles bearing in midfield during the last WC. His will bounce back. He has demonstrated ability to assert and impose himself in the midfield before. He has that experience. Listen very well mister, Onazi's form is in the downward trend not stagnant or fluctuate, he has consistently failed. Forget few flashes of brilliance you see like the cross against Cameroon that led to the goal Kelechi scored. His time is up but Rohr was never gonna drop him due to his status in the team |

safarigirl: we for drop Joel to accommodate Aina, because that one is only good at bumping into his team mates like a blind bat. Joel is out of form as he is just coming back from an injury set back. I told you guys no sane coach will drop Joel Obi. He plays in a top league and has been doing it for many years. Give him time, he will come around. |

MetalJigsaw: Onazi no even get combo sef. That is because he has lost form ,SIGNIFICANTLY! I was one of those that saw the guy's diminishing form very early but according to Sir. Icons4 experience is everything even if the player can barely complete a simple pass. Breeze don blow fowl yansh don open. Onazi has been trash for a very long time but that leadership position he has kept him in the team. It will even be suicidal to give him another chance because his confidence is currently in the gutter |

Icon4s: Not true.
The LB was the weakest link, hence Idowu and Aina were deployed to that position. Aina is NOT a LB, he is handicapped when you play him there unlike Idowu who can manage |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by OMANBALA1: 1:38pm On Jun 04, 2018 |
forgiveness: You are right, he made a dogs dinner out of the chances given to him on the 'LB' but not on the RB.
Aina is a RB player. It is a fact and not controversial opinion except you watched all him matches and convince me that the stats is not correct then I can understand.
People came here and deceived us that he played mostly as a LB in his club and meself swallow the lies hook line and sinker because I was not following Players nowadays.
It was after your comment that I went to see his stats and it was then that I realised we have been sold a lie to believe that the coach was just to play him on the left because of the false information that he played mostly as a LB this season, when he actually played all the matches as RB (save twice he played as LM and LB) since February till the day he came to World cup camp which amount to 3 good months.
Initially, I thought it good that he should be dropped for Echiejile and I felt indifference when he was dropped but after making research after your comment, I realised Rohr had already planned to drop him even before he kicked a ball else he wouldn't have played him out of position and make him contend with 'I will never forget my boys' player Echiejile who Rohr can never drop because he was part of those who helped him qualify for the world cup.
If a coach doesn't want you he will play you out of position, so that you fail and he will be vindicated if he drops you but if he wants you, he will play you in your natural position or try as much as possible to get you a better position that will accommodate you in the team.
Rohr has done that too.
I say play the boy in his natural position and let us see how good he is but if he is not good enough drop him.
What is the problem?
Let Mohammed Musa, Ebuehi, Shehu etc be given equal chances to prove themselves. That's all.
Gone are the days you play players out of position. True! Aina was played out of position just to keep Shehu from getting dropped, I guess. I feel bad for him. |

Proof that Mikel Obi is insecure.
1. He dropped his surname and took Mikel to appear Oyibo-ish
2. Married a sick looking oyibo.
3. Fake accent
4. Never heard him spoke Igbo or rep Igbo
By the way, I was equally a Jos, Plateau born |

Shehu is a red card/penalty waiting to happen against quality opposition, he is not a natural RB. Let's hope Ebuehi recovers before the first WC game. This is actually true, he has bad positioning and people are comparing him to an intelligent Ebuehi |

ChrisKels: How many years did he spend in England, yet you call his accent fake?
Nwoke m, u just sounded like a man jealous of his fellow man Firstly, Mikel's command of spoken English is not that great. Okocha, Kanu and Oliseh speak better English. Secondly, you don't lose your accent at that age ,Mikel was already in his 20s before he arrived England and he didn't school there. Finally, I might be a lot of things but jealousy is not one of them, I might envy somebody but I am never jealous of nobody not because I am somebody great but I am just confident in the little things God blessed me with. |
