And whoever thinks Rohr will drop Joel Obi need to think again. That guy is very disciplined ,hardly loses any ball,he grows with the game and can be very influential in the game.

You learn with a purpose. If it’s stops at the enemy as the target and how evil they are, of what good will it bring? Do you spend generations crying about how you are being held back? Even the thought that u are being held back can enslaven one to just give up, though u can argue it’s a fact. But believing that is more harmful to the mind.

I know where u are heading already with the Nigeria talk. But I will cease from deviating the purpose of this thread
I know what you are thinking but I am not pushing for cessation, rather I want us to redefine who we truly are by our own experiences. I am not a Biafran advocate. I like the idea of Nigeria but I dont know what it is.

If you would read my earlier post again, you’d realize that this is not a discussion to show who knows more about black history in America. I don’t have to spill out my knowledge about it and how I also learned it in the for corners of university and my extensive research and observation of the people. It’s unecessary. The question remains what are you going to do about it? Learning with the right perspective is important. If you learn history with a view to picturing how damned you are and how there is no way out, to what end? I hope this sums it up.
Ok, if you learn history and realize how your people were exploited and how these exploitation has affected your people and brought them to a deplorable state it will afford you the knowledge of the problems at hand and how to correct them. How many Nigerians are actually proud to be Nigerian and if you claim you are proud to be Nigerian I will ask give me a good reason. Nigerians do not know what it means to be Nigerian because it is a foreign creation,a strange identity nobody knows anything about. Maybe this will elucidate my points.

Omanbala, I have lived in the US for over a decade. I was fortunate enough to do my last two years of secondary school there. Who ever told that it is overrated is most certainly correct. The USA that you're currently thinking of has been gone over two decades ago. After the stock market crash of 2008, nothing was ever the same. When I lived there in Boston, racism was seriously rampant amongst police and civil servants. University was so ridiculously expensive that I had to transfer to Canada after my freshman year. Getting a decent paying job is like finding a needle in the haystack. On top of that, healthcare is just too damn expensive, so if you were sick and didn't have it, you are screwed. The cost of living just continues to rise everyday. It got bad for me at once that I had to go days eating merely 1 packet of 300g noodles and that was it. Thankfully, I switched to schools in Canada, found a job and got scholarships, but over half of the US population faces the problems I face. The American dream is dead. USA is just not the land opportunity (unless you have LOTS of money). I think Canada has taken that title. As well, one must consider the copius amounts of gun violence.
I am not here to defend America but I will not tell a single story about a country that has blessed me a lot. All you talked about here is everything negative about America and that is not fair. Education should be expensive, at least, good education. You graduate with huge dept hanging on your neck but but its worth it,if not try labor work. Healthcare is expensive for those that dont have good insurance and good insurance comes with decent job... There you have it, there is no such thing as free lunch. Even in Nigeria if you dont have money to pay for hospital bills your family will be left to die!

American dream is a fluke ,you create your own America...If na crack you wan smoke na your business,if you want to be a doctor na inside your pocket. By the way, I heard that taxes in Canada is off the roof, like 40% of your paycheck...How you wan take save money?

Lastly, there is violence everywhere and tribalism in Nigeria...Cut that out

Joebie, my intention was not to spread hate, I am actually a peaceful man until you offends me. Somehow we are saying the same thing and that is that not everything the white man brought was bad but our people has not been able to separate the good from the bad. The idea of education is great but dont give us western education because we are Africans. An example of how you can take an idea from somebody and make something great out of it is history of music in the new world.... The black slaves introduced music to the whites when they(blacks) were still in the plantation...The slaves used musics to console themselves and sing away their sorrows and then it was just blues, then rock and jazz and pop and country and hiphop...The Black American brought music to the new world and the whites learned it and today they(whites) not only control but dominate the industry.

So, I am not a hate monger but our people need to get the full gist about what the whites did,no sugarcoating and that doesnt make me hateful person. If we as Africans dont realize the our full identity then we will always be inferiors to other race of people.

Men.... I know this is a view held by many. I cannot say it is false. But there are even more positives about the Whites visiting our once "dark" continent.

I chose to focus more on the positives.
I disagree that there are more positives because their intention were not to come and better you but there are many things we could have achieved if we had used the positives well. I actually think what you meant was that we could have done a lot with little we learned from them...Finally you are chipping in,the conversation need to go on .

I tell you the truth black Americans have had these kind of lessons at the homefront for generations now. How has it helped them?
The history of man is about conquests and kingdoms. Hatred of whites will not help our cause going forward. History should be taught with an analytical approach. What could we have done differently? Are we still under the influence of our past colonial masters? If so, in what ways? Hiw are they keeping us in check. How can we break away from that in the most clever way possible? How can we instill new values in our society with the aim of rewriting history?
Teaching ourselves to hate whites will enslave our minds even more. Hatred itself is draining and hinders innovation. The only way we can beat them is to use them. You can’t achieve this by wearing the cap of hatred. We must think how we can be better, not how we can be like them. For many of us, this is a tall order, and that’s because we are still slaves mentally.

I have read the history of black Americans extensively both in school and on my own personal time I dont need lectures on that and I have also learned about their numerous struggles but you cant compare their experience and our own because we still own our lands and cultures but none of these do they have. They lost every single thing that make them a people. The black Americans do not control a single sector of the American economy even the one they invented (music). It is had for black Americans to wiggle out of the bondage of slavery because the slave master did a great job in destroying their identity and planted a deep seated self hatred in them. The black Americans hate themselves more than the white man do. The job has been done and the whiteman just sit and lets his magic manifest.

Joebie, if I can get hold of your mind and twist it out of your body then you can literally do whatever I want you to do....

your problem lies in the fact....that you don't always believe they're few exceptions... you take everything wholesale.... a wise man should know that the world does not begin and end in his own sitting room...

sorry me say this its like you have a domineering attitude... you think only you have the monopoly of wisdom... what you think starts and end with you only and does not make it absolute...
the bolded alone shows how you reason...which may not always be true... your exposure abroad should tell you that people do things for different reasons.... so get it... yours may just be one reason but still there exist no mono-causation in the explanation of human phenomenon and conflicts...... so learn never to generalize things with value ridden beliefs.

may be you still don't get the influence of colonialism... the language we use in communicate is not ours.... we got it via colonialism... so bearing names that drew meaning of the language is just inevitable because It is our lingua franca...
Oga , I dont have a domineering attitude I just feel there are things nobody should teach or remind you. The whites came to Africa to steal, destroy ,ruin, exploit and wipe you off the face of the earth and this need to be taught in our schools...Every African need to know this moving forward ,they(whites) are not your friend and they dont pretend about it rather you are the one romancing them. They take what is good in you and leave but you swallow everything they feed you and latch unto them. Not everything the white brought was bad but we have to be smart enough to identify the ones that can benefit us.

you're funny...sometimes it will be good you think broad... everyone don't go in same direction...I have an ibo friend whose surname is George and that's her father's name she bear... according to her she has no ibo name as first/surname....

how about Nigerians from States like bayelsa who bears all English names... I have also seen a white man who named his son...Bode. according to him he named him after his Doctor....
so learn to always see things in different ways.... it may be that's the dude father's name and the fact that the german/Nigerian bear all English name does not make him less nigerian.....
the sun can be viewed from different spot....
not everyone cares about names being tribal/English....
The fact that you think that what I wrote is funny is very disrespectful...You lack the reasoning to connect the dots. You know of a white man who named his son Bode....A whole multitude of one white man....Oyibo people really did some serious brainwashing in Africa and I can hear them laugh their bbutts of as Africans wallow in irreparable ignorance.....No sensible African should be bearing a white mans or Arab names...I mean first name, second nor last name. I changed my name to all Igbo at 20yrs when I was still in Nigeria. Oga , face soccer. What did bearing ridiculous names like ''fineface'', ''goodluck'' ''johnson'' and what not did for Bayelsans ? The other day I was having a marital discussion with a black american woman and I asked her what would she do if her husband cheats on her and she said she 'd ffuck all his husbands friends grin grin....That feminism 101 as thought by Chimamanda and her co feminists....If a man can do ot why cant you, they actually want to be like men...classy!
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by OMANBALA1: 4:43pm On May 18, 2018
Feminism is what is destroying the black americans family because the white man knows very well that once you crush the structures of family the society is ruined and the easiest way to do that is to penetrate the feeble mind of the woman and the job is done. 99% of the women championing this feminism agenda are black women and vast majority are black americans. Same black american women are raising thugs and gangsters while they blame their men for being dead beat fathers.

The scary part of it is that Nigerian women are beginning to behave just like these black americans....The institution of marriage in Nigeria is collapsing and our girls are popping babies for random guys just for a wad of cash. Baby mamas are celebrated and girls openly discuss their sexual escapades because according to Chimamanda Adichie ''if men can do it so is women'' ,after all ''men and women are equal''. This is coming from an educated women...Very shocking . I raised 2 sisters in school but I made them understand there are better ways of winning a mans heart than fighting his authority.

hello sir, was chimamanda wrong?
She was not wrong but dead wrong because nowhere in Igbo land does lesbian marriage exist...It is not in our culture. However, what you have are old women who has lost their husband and didnt have male child are encouraged by the umunna to marry a wife IN THE NAME OF THE DECEASED HUSBAND and find somebody to impregnate her. Most of the women married into this marriage are societal rejects like girls who got pregnant out of wedlock...In Igbo land or Anambra to be precise we look down on girls who got pregnate, had the baby in their fathers house and didnt get married.

Chimamanda is out of her mind and I hope to run into her one day. Her feminism project is getting to her head, she is a writer not a historian.

Maybe self esteem issues but most black men in the US avoid black women because they have too much wahala.
Somewhat true, black American women are the worst set of females you can come across and Nigerian women are fast becoming just like them with their bad attitude, baby mama drama, fake weave ons. I am shocked at the number of Nigerian women who think Kim Kardashian and Nikky Minaj are the the sshit not knowing those women are considered trash in America. I once heard Omotola said ''my bad'' and I was done! Blacks are innately ignorant ,especially the women ...Take Chimamanda for instance, that girl told the world audience that Igbos have lesbian marriages ,historically. I was shocked to hear such nonsense from a person who clams she reads everything...ffuccking slowpoke!

Black American women claim they are strong ,educated and has what they termed ''black girl magic'' whatever the ffucck that means but 70% of their male children end up in the prison with no hope of ever redeeming their lives. Yes ,they are more educated than their men because they raise bunch of thugs without common sense and the system is designed to favor women.

Whwn you say black women are more educated than black men in America you have to be very clear that this ONLY applies to black Americans NOT Africans because Nigeria men still rule the black race in that country....When they meet Nigeria men they meet real men who are way more richer
