STRONGLY DISAGREE

Totally disagree, where did you get that twisted notion from. Talk for yourself oh.

That is choc ice reasoning and coconut mentality and I find it very dissaponting.
Bia, mr southgate abi sam alladyce or whatever the hell they call you LET THAT COCONUT FALL DOWN AND BREAK YOUR LITTLE SKULL....The statistics are out there pulled from dating sites that nobody want black women and most black men salivate over women from other race. How many top white men are married to black women ,now compare it to uncountable black men that drool over white pusshies. This things has psychological effects on the way our women see themselves. Why do black people bleach, add contact lens, fake white woman hair stitched into their scalp and walk around with it.

Anyway, what am I saying most black men has poor reasoning.

I can't find sense in what you wrote...
because inter racial marriage is not just between a black man and a white woman between goes across board...

I am from the southern part of the country...and I have seen numerous marriages initiated by a white man to marry a black woman...
so stop saying what you don't know or have little idea of...
I dont expect you to find sense, I am a very deep thinker and most times I see what majority cant see. Again ,stop using ambiguous words like numerous because we dont have numbers. That you saw few white men european men come and marry Nigeria women is not enough to conclude its happening everywhere....I am a man who is very away of my environment. If you give a black man a choice to choose between a beautiful white woman and a beautiful black women na speed he go use rush the white woman...Thirsty niggas!!

What business is it of yours if a guy is with a fat white gurl, na you dey knack am? This is the problem in Nigeria people always worried about what doesn't concern them.
Well, its my business when somebody says ''what is it with you black guys and greasy fat white women'' ? And mind you I have lived in the states for over 13 yrs and I know what is obtainable in that country. Black men worship white women and everybody in this country knows this, even white crack heads knows black men will still show them love. Admit your weaknesses and fix yourself,no need getting mad.

There are plenty white men married to black women as we speak. If a black man wants a white woman it is nobodies business.
Plenty is a misleading word ,some is more like it. And black man thirst for white women is a shame on the black race. Dont you people have women you can find attractive enough to marry within your race ? The most annoying part of it is when I see a black man with a fat white woman no white man will touch with a long poll...White boy laugh their bbutts off looking at these black men. You pick up their trash and treat her like a gaddem queen... grin grin grin

And the notion that white women like black men because of their long kini is so degrading. Why not like black men because of their intelligence ? Oh, I forgot most black men has no cerebral cortex thats why their countries are trash. I have hanged with both white and black guys and most times all the black guys talk about is women with big butt except the aged ones, while white boys talk about real issues in the society

U can't help who you love. There is absolutely nothing wrong with marrying a white or Latin woman.
How come blacks are the only ones with this issue....Chinese dont want black women, Latino men dont want black women, white men dont want black women ,Arab men dont want black women but give a black man a chance and the last woman on his list will be black....The way average black man sees himself is shameful and pitiful. Sex is too important to him thats why he cant reason properly.... spits out

Ekong returns, Shehu starts, Onazi Starts

Sebi I told you that Titi's red card meant an automatic return for Ekong as the Turkish league reaches its final laps. wink

So Ekong starts on the right of Central defence. While Shehu continues in his role at DM in a double pivot in Bursaspor's 4-2-3-1 formation in their on going game against Onazi's Trabzonspor.

Ahh yes.. Onazi also starts at the base of Midfield in a 4-1-4-1.
Never completely sold on Shehu's right back position. A fit Ebuehi will outclass him and Awaziem will play tha DM better than him ,especially in ball control

You see ,I am a strong proponent of one Nigeria and I see good and equally some bad in every ethnic group in Nigeria and I believe we can make that country great if we can elect a good leader who will understand the ethnic diversity of the country and find a way to make us all come together and work toward similar goals. My friend calm down, you dont need such hate speech and insult, now to the festival our "Ofala" was influenced by the IGUA festival, you can investigate on that in your spare time.

for the kingship system, the western Igbo practice very similar one with the benin people, where royal family are recognised, I'm sure you've had about the saying "igbo ewe eze" it means igbo dont have kings but it only apply To the heartland igbo area which include the imo, abia and some part of ebonyi.

You tried translating the names I listed which even made you look more confused OLISAdebe you said means God preserve but you forgot to tell us that OLISA is a benin word for God, we all know what igbo call God, and in imo or abia that name should be CHIdebe or CHUKWUdebe.

Bros onitsha was not the only region greatly influence by the great benin empire, present day rivers, delta, bayelsa, ondo, ekiti and even lagos was influence too.

So lets stop derailing this thread, but if you really wanna talk more about it, we could continue probably via WhatsApp
Igbo enwe Eze doesnt literally mean Igbos have no king, its figurative. For instance, your Oba has the final say in your village and nobody can contest what he says but the Igbo has a well developed chieftaincy institution that is very powerful like Agbalanze, Nze na Ozo and Ndi ichie...We will question our kings if need be. Again you have no sensible proof to your Olisa claim ...You debate like a little kid, everything is hearsay...lol. I bet you thought its gonna be a walk in the park...no so fast

To start with your first paragraph, erase such mindset, it wont take you anywhere, rule number one never believe someone idea is better than yours just because of who they are.

Now you are actually right by the fact that igbo dont have kings but the western Igbo do have, Obi onitsha kingship started 1550, Eze Chima was the first and we already have 18 ezes already, the white men didn't start the obi monarchy for anambra people, they only felt more comfortable dealing with people with good monarchy.
Again, you expose your ignorance once more. Igbos had kings but we didnt practice monarchy....pick a danm book and educate yourself. Nnewi had kings and by hierarchy, Nri had the oldest kingdom in Nigeria and Arochukwu had kings plus all other little towns in Anambra like Obosi king,Eze Iweka, whom Upper Iweka was named after. Me I don't understand the sweat and heat just because someone said that the Bini Kingdom influenced parts of Igboland. Is this totally impossible given the fact of proximity between Bini and Igboland? Is it not possible that cultural cross currents between both people could have taken place in the past.

Just yesterday I was reading in a magazine that the coronation of the Obi of Onitsha is not complete without the emissaries of the Attah of Igala. So if I said igala influenced parts of Igboland (and actually we geographically contiguous with some igala communities indigenous to Anambra state sef)

The Ejubejuailo (The Ata’s pectoral Mask) is said to be gotten from the Binis. We call coconut Uno'oba meaning the coconut of the Oba of Bini possibly because the coconut came to igala land from Bini. Igalas have kin relationship with Asaba people, Yoruba (we are so linguistically close to the Yorubas) Nupe, Jukun and Igbirra people. All these cultures, must have influenced each other.

Why the frothing almost wounded sensitivity to such an assertion. For me it's even a good thing that contrary to what many think our people were relating culturally, economically and linguistically before the white man came.

Now to what you said about Arabic. Alcohol, Algebra, Almanac, alkali (in chemistry) are all Arabic words that have been anglicised.
Thug is from the Hindu thuggee, guru nko? Tycoon is from the Japanese Taigun

If countries as far as India, Arabia Japan could influence English language what about ethnic cultural groups who live so closely here in Nigeria.

That your culture was influenced by another culture does not make it weak, does not mean you are subservient to the influencing culture. Go and do an analysis of the English language and you'd be shocked how it has borrowed words from French, Latin, German, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Arabic language and yet it is the number one global language.
There is an ulterior motive behind that claim. A lot of internet wars has been fought because people are telling what Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie called DANGERS OF SINGLE STORY. I hate talking about tribal stuff here but there is need for me to alert everybody of the motive behind what these guys are pushing before it becomes the only truth. I never said western Igbos didnt borrow anything but we need to clarify things before your land suddenly becomes mine. Yoruba call stone okuta, Igbo call it okwute, they call water omi,we call it nmili, their amen is ase, Igbo is isee but none of these group can claim ownership of these words because its understood they are shared.

Now ,compare that to my Bini friends who think everything originates from them...Its so irritating. The Igala and Idoma use the Igbo days of the week and we equally borrowed from Igala ...For instance the use of the phrase Agaba Iduu has Igala origin and we equally has alot of Igala migrants in Anambra. We have good relationship with Igala people and they speak good Omanbala dialect. But when people start making sttupid claims you handle them like sttupid people. Most of these Bini people are heavily ignorant but they dont want to learn...People are throwing a hypothetical map around without any major landmarks to back it up.

The Igbo race is probably the most diverse ethnic group in Nigeria and an ancient Igbo adage gives credence to that....Igbo na asu na onu mana akwaa ukwala obulu ofu. Enugu and Ebonyi area call God Obasi and Anambra Olisa but somebody is somewhere claiming they introduced Olisa and has no proof of that....Such person is senseless. They claim Obi of Onicha dresses like Oba of Bini but no proof, you ruled over Onicha but no proof and even Onicha people have no memory of that. Show us your proof other than your fake made up territory in a map.

By the way kid, my part of my grand father is anioma and we are 100% loyal to our King: Omo n'Oba n'Edo.
Where in that video did Obi of Onicha say Onicha was once under the rule of Oba of Bini ? Obi Achebe ,the Agbogidi Onicha Ado is a well read and classy noble man who not only took the Nze na Ozo, conferred his son and became Ugonabo and also joined the prestigious Agbalanze noble class in Onicha and later became the Obi of Onicha. Oba Bini is not the only ruler he mentioned he also mentioned Igwe Umuoji and Sunewe of Ondo, Oba of Bini is not better than any traditional ruler in Nigeria. His authority starts and ends with his people. The Agbogidi is a wise man.

Historically, the Benin kingdom was actually very powerful. Some of the narrations about it are actually quite outstanding. At the height of its prowess, it was a mighty empire.

That said, cultures influence each other, it is part of life. Do you know there are so many words in the English language that are derived from other languages?

Do you know that several spanish words are borrowed from Arabic?

It is a normal part of life.. I am certain that some of benin culture was also influenced by neighbouring cultures. Our languages and civilizations are closer than you'd imagine.

There is no need to start debate over things that happened more than 500 years ago.
Not to spoil your fun but Bini Kingdom was great but ''mighty'' is subjective. I dont have problem with people identifying with their chiefdoms but honestly you guys are overhyping your village kingdom. And thats what it is, a little village with a chief magnified into a king and Bini didnt conquer any Igbo town...Its on record! You can salivate over your culture without involving the Igbo nation, thats my only concern. Historically ,Anioma has always spoken Igbo and practiced Igbo culture and worshiped Alusi ,the Igbo oracle . Yes ,there were some influences westward but it doesnt translate into subjugation.
