They should work towards it. Start mending fences and build alliances and bridges. They'd need the numbers. Blackmail wouldn't get you there neither would antagonistic posturing. If they play their cards well from this day I think 2023 might be ripe for a VeePee slot and Presidency in 2031. It is common sense. |
There you have it folks. He says they are incapacitated by virtue of the oath they took upon assumption of office. I wish they could apply the same code of conduct to financial matters and and general legislative ethics. |
When people tell you "women are powerful", just believe that. I have no proof of this but I've got a very strong feeling the reason why the bond between Baba and his Vice still retain its juice has alot to do with the friendship between their spouses. There are lots of forces out there who'd do just about anything to compromise the trust and confidence between the two leaders but for their wives, such manoeuvres have repeatedly met a brick wall. There's never been any presidency in Nigeria's recorded history where the wife of the president is seen to be so close to the wife of the vice, and this to me is the secret behind the lasting mutual trust between both men, in addition to the fact they are honest gentlemen. |
Some nairalanders'"direct cotonou" are right there among the junk. ![]() |
Wow! Did anyone notice the size of the shoes? I think the big shoes has more than an aesthetic meaning. Could be that the creators are trying to pass a message regarding the size of the person "Awalowo". The message is "his shoe size is so big, it would be virtually impossible for anyone else to wear them". Lagos: an economy inside an economy. ![]() |

nairanaira12:I saw that quote and was shocked a human being with a life outside this forum could say that. I mean "likes"? Na wa oo! |
Abati is suddenly an enemy and an agent of "Lagos Ibadan express way media". Smh. I don't know how folks read that article, and I deliberately decided not to comment on it even when there were just about five comments when I opened the thread. That said, if my opinion is sort as to the inclination of the article, I'd say it tilted more in favour of Kanu than the other way. In fact, when I read through it, what came to my mind was "would Abati be saying this if he were still in Aso Rock?" So dudes chill, do not make the mistake you always seem to make by allowing emotions override reason. Abati would definitely lampoon this government tomorrow like he's always known to do, and you guys would be seen as hypocrites if you call him names today. Let logic and reason prevail. |
attacker321:The last time I did that, with genuine intentions, insults were all I got. No doubt I've bruised a lot of egos and broken alot of hearts here, and for that reason, there are lots of folks who think I'm in no position to initiate such a conversation. Then I only requested a ONE WEEK cessation of hostilities. It didn't take one minute before the bullets start raining down. Still, I personally observed the ceasefire. Since then, alot's changed. |
We don't have to be apathetic to all criticisms. Sagey made some very useful statements. |
Nigerian politicians have no respect for truth and honesty. |

An Igbo man would surely be but not now. We should be looking at 2023 and beyond if Buhari contests and wins. If Buhari doesn't and another Northerner contests and and wins, out of greed for power, which is typical of ALL politicians regardless of where they come from, this Northerner would likely seek reelection in 2023 and if he wins, we would either have: 1. An Igbo Vice Presidency in 2027. Or 2. An Igbo Presidency in the same year. These are the likely outcome of events I see, ESPECIALLY IF they succeed in forming a good alliance with the South West. The Middle Beltans would have no problem with that. I implore the Igbos to initiate the process of fence mending with the Yorubas. Cc: Nairavsdollars. |
For example, although, since 1999, no Igbo politician has made a serious run for the presidency, many Igbo already believe that there is a conspiracy amongst other peoples of Nigeria against an Igbo presidency. The kind of lies these people tell. Was Ojukwu not an Igbo man? How many states did he win when he made an attempt at Presidency? Who conspired with them not to vote Ojukwu? Or were they expecting folks to FORCE them to vote for him? This is the persecution complex and victim mentality we keep talking about. They ALWAYS imagine someone else is responsible for their problems. God help you people. |

Na only God go punish this fool. ![]() Edit: Some urine drinking pigs probably think the shortest route to excitement is saying something extremely stupid and then adding "omenka" in there. ![]() |
[img][/img] FastShipping:Lol. We got here because some people adamantly refused to demonstrate basic level sportsmanship after their failure in a contest. That is how. Bro, thing is, this trash transcends Nairaland. Go to the comment sections of major newspapers and see what's going on there, then you'd realise, clamping down on religious and ethnic bigotry on the forum might have little or no impact on the trend. What I think could significantly check it is legislation. The government is tinkering with that, but guess what, they are screaming the government is seeking to clamp down on opposition voices and freedom of expression. |

Remember, ignore the igbos for they are inconsequential /harmless in the scheme of things in Nigeria. SelahToo bad.. |
Emusan:Just don't know why some people choose to be so dull in this country. Have I EVER SAID I am against the breakup of this country? WTF. Do you know the number of times I've been banned for "violating rule 9"? What I've been against and will ALWAYS BE AGAINST is the methods of the terrorist organization, ipob. Now, take that and shove it anywhere you think it makes sense to you. |

seguno2:Because he's the writer or the editor I suppose? ? |
taylor88:Look at someone referring to someone else as "nonsense". Go school, una refuse. Smh. By the way, i thought you people said they've already killed the King Pig, so I ask, is it his ghost they are "hunting" sad you put it? |
The Federal Government yesterday said that those standing sureties for the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu risk imprisonment should he (Kanu) be absent at the next trial dateBooM!! Four days ago, i said the same thing and those inconsolable wailing piglets called me names and told me how ignorant I am of law when it comes to issues regarding sureties. Now look at this. These kids will be taught manners by force. |
