Whenever you speak, all I see is a very sad, angry and miserable kid raised in a ramshackle den in a slummy suburb by poverty stricken foster parents who showed very little or no parental love towards you. Early childhood was virtually nonexistent in your life.

It is such a pity you weren't put to sleep at an early age, now you have to live through life competing with animals at the bottom of the food chain where you belong for survival.

Spend more time trying to make your way up the ladder than trying so hard to pull your betters down to your cesspit of squalor. #Honest advice.

You know I always ignore you- just chose to do you a favour this time.

Have a nice day kid.

Politics › ‘dear Baba’: Jonathan Writes Obasanjo, Seeks Blessing For New Foundation by omenka(op): 7:12pm On Oct 17, 2015
Former President Goodluck Jonathan has written to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, seeking the latter’s blessing for his next public engagement: the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation, and pledging to spend the rest of his life making the world better place.

The foundation will advance Mr. Jonathan’s interest in human development, peace and security, the letter, which begins with the endearing greeting,

“Dear Baba”, said.

The letter was written on a letterhead which says “The Office of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, President, Federal Republic of Nigeria 2010 and 2015.”

In it, he informs Chief Obasanjo that following his handing-over of power to President Muhammadu Buhari, he proceeded on a “long deserved break.”

“Now well-rested, I am back to work to continue to serve and dedicate my life to promoting peace and prosperity for all,” adding that he has set up an office in BayelsaState where he can be reached, and his staff are prepared to serve Chief Obasanjo and respond to his enquiries at any time.

“Furthermore, I will be devoting the rest of my life and energy to making the world a better place. I am currently finalizing efforts to set up The Goodluck Jonathan Foundation. More details on the work of the Foundation will be available at the launch, which I believe should take place by the 3rd quarter of 2016.”

He said he looked forward to Mr. Obasanjo’s continuous support, counsel and cooperation.

Given the bad blood that governed the relationship between both men towards the end of Mr. Jonathan’s presidency, the letter seemed to be an attempt at rapprochement with the former president.

SaharaReporters learnt, however, that Mr. Obasanjo responded to Jonathan with a terse letter saying he wishes him good luck in his future endeavors.

Obasanjo and Jonathan had a public falling-out before and during the Presidential elections earlier this year. The acrimonious relationship led the former president to tear his party card openly.

There's no such thing as 12pm young man. It is 12noon or 12mid day.

Interesting...

APC, party of confused criminals.
Surprise the world and say something reasonable for once- you aren't gonna die from doing so.

@post: I was gonna do a piece regarding the postponement and just stumbled upon this thread.

The postponement of the exercise to coincide with the period Saraki is supposed to be defending himself in court is indeed the height of mischief and betrays just how desperate that man is to run away from the law which he took an oath to uphold.

Incidences like this reveal the flaws in our constitution and the urgent need for constitutional reforms. I am tilting towards finding a way to make the selection and confirmation of the executive cabinet the exclusive function of the presidency. It is a pity we still can't afford to allot more powers to the president as he has too much of it already- a recipe for disaster in the wrong hands. Moderation of the powers of executive office holders is imperative for stability in the polity, especially in such a country like ours.

Politics is indeed such a dirty business.
Politics › Re: Pictures Yoruba Leaders And Eze Ndiigbo During Election by omenka(m): 11:37am On Oct 17, 2015
Truth be told, this thread calls for a deep and sober reflection on how far we take we take politics as regular citizens, never mind those who are seen here aren't actually the ones who are calling for the abolition of the practice of having an Igbo king in domains outside the SE.

This is why I keep insisting we don't kill ourselves over these guys- irrespective of tribe and religion, politicians are all the same. They make you appear like a brother when they need your votes, and soon after they get your mandate, they make a complete 180degrees on you! We've seen politicians ride on Okada with Okada men, and soon as they get elected, one of the first things they do is to clamp down on the "menace" of Okada riding.

I'm all for good governance and have always advocated that Nigerians be allowed to conduct their legitimate businesses without harassment wherever they find themselves within the boundaries of this country. I was against the Iyadoja Episode and find this latest attack condemnable as well (no offence to the Yorubas).

We should try as much as we can to observe some restraint in our conduct on-and-offline.

God bless Nigeria.

Were they thinking they were gonna be treated like those in the past??

Some nutcases are still stuck in the retrogressive policies of the past that ANY good news to them is "propaganda".

Even when the eroded road leading to their houses, which has been in such terrible state for eons, is eventually fixed, and they use it excitedly daily, they would still come online and say it is "propaganda", like programmed robots.

They wake up everyday in disbelief of what happened in the general election- they've remained in a state of confusion and delirium ever since- so much so that even in their party's headquarters in Abuja, their Lords can't seem to remember what the name of their party is, thus referring to it as Peoples Democracy Party. cheesy
