There are issues I have with Peter Obi which I'm vocal about...although not here on nairaland. But I will create a thread about it soon enough. But this thread is about Tinubu being more actively involved in the daily campaigns. At the moment, Peter Obi is actively involved so that's why my focus is on Tinubu.

Like someone said, just about everyone at this point have their minds made up on whom to support or vote for. I'm your heart of hearts, do you imagine there's ANYTHING anyone could say that could make you not vote Obi or vote Tinubu?

Tinubu isn't breaking any laws as we speak. His absence at this moment is probably not by volition but compulsion.

In the meantime, we're marching on with what's on ground. And you can see even without his presence, the campaign is alot more coordinated than Labour party's. Labour party is too darn amorphous to be taken seriously. Constituting just a campaign team has been a super herculean task for Obi. Is this a sign of what to expect with an Obi presidency (never mind the impossibility of that)?

OK great, the moment Tinubu gets actively involved in the daily campaigns, consultations, meetings, he will have succeeded in trashing that talk about him not being mentally and physically fit to lead Naija out of its numerous problems. And at least his haters will look for another point and won't talk about his health.

We don't need his haters to look for another point to talk about. There's really nothing they've not thrown at him, from his looks, his health, his religion, his family, his wealth, his tribe, his influence, etc.

What exactly is there to talk about besides these? They can keep talking for all he cares.

Tinubu is no doubt a top contender for the 2023 presidential election. He is a top contender because he is running on the platform of the ruling party and because he is a very astute politician that has built a political dynasty for himself.

However, there has been concern about his health and whether he is healthy enough to lead the country for 4/8 years. I believe he is constitutionally healthy/fit to be the president. However, Nigeria is in a dire state and requires a leader who will be mentally and physically able to tackle those numerous challenges the country faces on a daily basis. Hence that's where my concern lies. I believe that's the same concern lots of Nigerians have. If Nigeria were the USA or the UK, I wouldn't bother about the mental/physical capacity of Tinubu because I know he is healthy enough to rule. But unfortunately, Nigeria isn't.

So the health concerns are valid in my opinion. What I would expect Tinubu to do is to prove to us that he is mentally and physically able to lead the country. Riding on a treadmill bike will not address those concerns. We need to see him actively involved in meetings, campaigns, consultations, interviews, debates, etc on a daily basis. That's the only way he can prove to Nigerians that he will be actively involved from day one once elected. Riding a treadmill or bicycle or lifting weight won't address that....it's a laughable attempt to deceive Nigerians.

Was there any candidate who actively consulted and did more trips than Tinubu before and after the primaries?

Please you people should also ask Obi to prove to us his senses aren't compromised because the lies he churns out everytime he makes a speech leave some of us wondering about the state of his mental health. Not to mention his abysmal performance in both O and A levels of education.

Imagine IPOBs killing themselves over this while the only time their candidate isn't churning out lies is when his lips aren't moving.

Regarding the issue of Tinubu's 2013 cycling posted and moved to front page, is it not the same nairaland that moved a contrary thread to FP?

Seun is damn too soft on these people I swear. Two pro Tinubu threads get to front page, they create multiple topics insulting the seun and his mods, but a day 10 pro Obi threads grace same FP, they go about tagging Tinubu's supporters to come see how they are celebrating.

What they want is seun should ban all pro Tinubu threads, move all anti Tinubu's thread to FP. Similarly, any pro Obi thread, whether fake or true should just grace FP while any topic against Obi should be deleted.
