Politics › Benue Deputy Governor, Assembly Members Set To Dump PDP by omenka(op): 9:39am On Dec 18, 2014
Mass defection of members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) especially aspirants
that lost tickets in the just concluded primaries of the party, is looming in Benue State, LEADERSHIP has learnt.

This is even as there was serious fracas in
the Benue State House of Assembly and the
House session halted when a lawmaker
announced his defection from the ruling PDP
to the opposition APC. Many other lawmakers who had contested the PDP primaries and lost are all set to decamp to various opposition parties.

The deputy governor of the state, Chief
Steven Lawani who lost the PDP governorship ticket in the primaries is also set to defect to the opposition party. Lawani is aggrieved because, according to sources, he was denied ticket to fulfill the aspirations of the Idomas to rule the state.

However, the defecting lawmaker, Mr. Baba
Odeh is representing Otukpo/Akpa state
constituency and had decamped to the APC
because he could not win the ticket of the
PDP in the just concluded primaries. Odeh is
the chairman House Committee on Finance
and also leader of G23, a group of all PDP
lawmakers in the state.

Fracas ensued in the State House of
Assembly during plenary, when the speaker,
Terhile Ayua (PDP) refused to announce the
defection of Odeh despite having formally
written to the House over his intention to
defect to another political party. The
situation caused the lawmakers to trade
words angrily.

leadership.ng/news/395969/benue-deputy-gov-assembly-members-set-join-apc
They say APC would implode after registration, after primaries, after this, after that, yet PDP seems to be the only party showing signs of implosion since their primaries!!

They blew all their gaskets already. From the very beginning they knew they were on fool's errand but they trudged on like slaves being led to a waiting ship!! Now reality is hitting them in the face like very cold harmmatan breeze in Jos!!

Keep denying the truth. The truth will one day come out for all to see.

Right now you Muslims only have the liberal Christian values as your advantage just as in western europe, where muslims are e en agitating for Shari law. Will this had been possible in a Muslim dominated society if it were Christians? The answer is no.

The time will come when the world will do the needful and rid this planet of this fascist criminal cult you call a religion.
I thought you said you have a thousand monikers and you aren't afraid of a ban when emitting all that bile yesterday. Why don't you go ahead and call me all those names you were calling me? Or has the man inside been tamedhuh

When Wole. Soyinka called them "a nest of killers" he knew exactly what he was saying.

Marylin Ogar would never tell us about stuffs like this rather she would go telling the public how computers, flash pens, and some external hard drives were found after an illegal raid on an APC Data Centre, or how Total (or whatever) is the cause of fuel scarcity (I wonder what the minister of labour's job is)!!

Your argument is so faulty, i bet there were people younger than Soyinka in Soyinka's class.

Osinbajo is also a genuis in his own right, and there are several popular figures who finished primary school at age 10 at his own generation.
Honestly I didn't quite understand what the comparism was about. When has Soyinka become the standard reference point for the scholarly prowess or otherwise of anyonehuh

These jonaTANians are too damn basic honestly. They couldn't stick anything to the man for two days besides how long it took for him to be selected, and now this!!

Their propaganda machinery has been overheating since Buhari's emergence and they got their gaskets blown after Osinbajo was selected as his running mate!

Whatever mud they throw is already expected anyway.

Honestly I don't wanna keep a useless thread like this alive by commenting continuously on it. Now, what is wrong in choosing a pastor as a running mate?? Would you rather he chose an imam or your popshuh When Jonathan was busy running from one church to another, kneeling before pastors Adeboye of thesame RCCG and pastor Oyedepo of Living Faith, did you bother asking if he was seeking sympathy voteshuh When he went banging his head against a wall in Jerusalem did you askhuh

You really have no case here son.

@post: Honestly, with the rate at which the PDP is going, I don't see the party holding their ranks together till Val's day 2015. I see a lot of folks already booking their flights out of the country before the emergence of the anticorruption Czar!!

All their propaganda seem to have fallen flat and they appear to have run out of lies to tell. I bet the "religious bigot/islamic fundamentalist" craft isn't selling anymore, hence their committal to much more mundane stuff like the duration of time it took for the VP to be selected, pieces of papers left at the Teslim Balogun Stadium sfter the primary, etc. cheesy

PDP and her supporters have copletely lost it honestly. They have absolutely no important issues to talk about anymore since all their lies and deceit have been exposed not even by the opposition, but by events as they unfold naturally. Now they have resorted to complaining about the sunglasses opposition leaders wore at their Kwara rally, litter that was left at the Teslim Balogun Stadium after the APC's presidential primary, time it took for the flag bearer to choose his running mate, and now this!! grin

It is such fun to see how they desperately grasp at floating cobwebs to keep from drowning! cheesycheesy
