There goes Nigeria.......To one man's pocket!!!

Jonathan has killed Godfatherism in Nigeria's politics by placing Obasanjo where he belongs.

Now APC brings it back in full force, with 2 puppets.

Just see how a VP aspirant stand like school boy for him headmaster back grin signing terms and agreement on how they would govern.

The new Godfather. TINUBU!!!

How can buhari deal with Tinubu's corrupt antecedents?

Anyway let's see what the slavemasters ( North) and their slaves conjure up.
They have already accepted their fate when Val's day is still nearly two months away!! Nigeria's liberation is indeed at hand!!

God bless the APC.

Buhari/Osinbajo all the way!!
Coasting to victory full throttle!!

Sounds like a poorly written Nollywood script.

This is mind blowing!!! Even Okupe and Abati would hide their faces in shame over the implication of these revelations/facts!! Time and again, their relentless and shameful tactics to smear the image of the General forcing the public to see in him a religiously intolerant man and an ethnic bigot. This thread is like a detonating a nuclear bomb in an ant hill!!

However, credit must first go to Head of State, General Olusegun Obasanjo, because it was under his administration that Buhari signed and supervised the implementation of the Two Refinery projects
The lies being peddled by a section of the media, some of whose agents are here on Nairaland, is staggering. This is the umpteenth time one would deal with this issue. I think it's about time to let it rest. Some people are hard-wired to denounce the truth whenever they see it or hear about it, they thrive in lies, filth, and of course darkness!!

I wouldn't bother joining issues with anyone who imagines that Buhari deserves no credit for the establishment of some of the refineries we have in this country. I know what I know and no amount of uncanny alterations and propaganda can dent the squeeky clean reputation of the People's General.

God bless APC.

@Omenka.

Bruv, don't let these guys push you out. You must stand your ground otherwise these tinpot dictators, not fit to wipe your shoes in real life , would have won. They want ro drive you away with their repellent ways.

I understand your frustration because similar has happened to us all. I remember being banned, along with Pendy, for insulting others when the guy who joined a thread to exclusively quote and insult me never lost his posting privilege whereas I was sanctioned for retaliating against unwarranted and unprovoked insults against my person. It was obvious the offensive poster was left untouched because he is a TANdroid and unapologetic anti-Yoruba bigot.

I did not even make a fuss or complain because my mission here is greater than anything these jokers can throw at me. Bottom line is that we must face the immediate struggle ahead and ignore the bigoted enemies of progress. When we get the leader we want , leading to the Nigeria we want, what will we be hanging aroumd this compromised forum for? FOR NOW WE ARE GOING NOWHERE BAN OR NO BAN.
Advice heeded bro.

I think indeed I would be doing a lot of disservice to the course if I threw in the towel when we are at the crossroads of the campaign to salvage the soul of our motherland. I see some people are truly desperate to see me disappear but thanks to your timely intervention and those of other progressives alike. I shall stay the course and hold the line. Omenka is going NOWHERE!!!

Let the suffering of the children of anger and enemies of this great nation continue. We shall overcome!!

You mean Buhari will stand on the road to prosecute Policemen siphoning N50 from motorists?

How many "thieves" has Buhari dragged to Court for corruption since the past 30 years?

Do you sincerely think a man who wine and dine with crooks like Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, Alhaji Abubakar Audu, etc., would readily fight corruption in Nigeria?

Are you aware the office of the presidency isn't meant for fighting corruption?

Are you aware the president of a nation do not have any power to condemn anyone to prison?

Are you aware we have a democratic structure called Democracy and Judiciary?

Are you aware a Supreme court Judge can defend and release a "Criminal"? and your president will be left with no choice than remain silent or risk an immediate impeachment.

Lol; the way some of you make noise about these corruption issues one would nearly assume Buhari will take over the streets with Rifles to kill and slaughter "criminals" on spot.

Politics › Re: APC Has Lost 2015 by omenka(m): 12:22pm On Dec 16, 2014
mekaboy:
The choice of buhari as presidential candidate of APC has destroyed the parties chances of becoming an alternative to PDP. Well GOD is not asleep sha.

Apc has to field 1 muslim and 1 christian.

The muslim presidential candidate could have been a young vibrant person like fashola. Then any other person could be the christian. it could be okorocha, osibanjo or any other person.

But fashola cant be either president or vp, neither can atiku or any other muslim in that party. I am sure the muslims in the party wont be happy because they know buhari as the candidate has dashed their hope .

At the end of the day APC will be under pressure to present a muslim muslim ticket eg buhari/fashiola or buhari/tinubu. This will cause the party to implode before time.

If buhari for his stepped down for a younger person like fashola/okorocha the party would have made head way.

But as it is now, The future of APC is not bright. The North has presented a muslim, Tinubu who has invested alot in the party will either present himself for the south or anyother person but fashola. This is because the person he made governor cannot be president before him. But one thing is sure, as soon as the VP is selected the party will implode.
Don't go there buddie. Even Okupe would advice you otherwise because he once said if the party doesn't implode in a coupla months after its formation, we should call him aa bastard. Not, he's a self confessed bastard!!

Look at this:
Kai!! Never seen petty folks like those in PDP and their supporters.

First they said the merger wouldn't work, it did
to their utter consternation!!

Then they said they wouldn't be registered by
INEC and did all they could to ensure same,
scrambling to form some fictitious "party" with
four members only under the name "apc". It all
came to nowt and APC was registered!!

Then they said in fighting between "Power
hungry" members would effectively result in the
demise of the party way before the general
elections. That also didn't happen and the party
has been waxing stronger since its formation!!

Then they said it was a party for muslims. Yet
christian emerged the National Chairman!!

Then they said the whole thing would come to
an end at the primaries. Yet the primary held
under a very peaceful and cordial atmosphere
and those who were defeated congratulated the
winner. No one is threatening to go to court
whatsoever!!

And now they are complaining about the litter in
the stadium after the presidential primary!!!!!!
What a bunch of serial losers!!
You can add what I just highlighted in your post to the list. cool

Have a nice day.

Yes or No?
It is not a question of yes or no Mr, it is a question of IMPROVEMENT. And YES, I can assure you there would be improvement in that regard.

The truth is, this government knows what the major problem of this country is but has refused to do what it takes to stem the tide. Corruption is one singular plague that has eroded the little gains we've made over the past decade and rather than fighting it head on this administration has taken on a policy that does nothing but compound the issue, reversing sentences, granting unnecessary state pardons, hobnobbing with convicted fellons and jailbirds giving them a "Federally untouchable" tag, and drawing a line between corruption and stealing!!

Fix corruption and see the effect cascade down to even the remotest aspect of our economic lives. And who better to fix that problem than the General??

Don't fight it, embrace it. It's time is here!!

I am yet to provide statements of your preferred candidate with regard to the Boko Haram issue. He didn't show better wit than GEJ when fielding questions relating to the sect. I would have uploaded them but for the limitations on daily uploads.

Anyway, I'm not saying Jonathan is a saint. I think that the man has his visible shortcomings like every other individual and i appreciate that. I believe that he is probably doing his best within his personal capabilities. It is possible that another individual with higher capabilities could perform better than he is at the moment but i do not believe that that other individual is our St. Buhari.
And I thought one could have an objective convo with you. Well, have a nice day.

You think i am doing a hatchet job, well that is your opinion. You are entitled to it. I am only reproducing the statements of your preferred Presidential candidate, General Buhari. The reason i chose the moniker "IamBuhari" is because i think that a man's word is a only reflection of his character. Thus everything i put up here is my perception of who General Buhari really is.

I hope you will agree to allow us disagree on what we may think the General is. I have seen some very unflattering posts of you and your friends about my preferred candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan. But that again is your opinion, which you are entitled to.
Oh really?? And what do you think about the character of your preferred candidate when he stated that he can't send the army to wipe out Boko haram because they are his siblings, his family. What do you think about his character when he spent nearly an hour trying to differentiate between stealing and corruption? What do you think about his character when he dodged a simple presidential debate with his co-contestants simply because the organisers refused to reveal their questions to the 'debaters' prior kick-off, rather opting for a monologue with a musician??

When it comes to the bolded my brother, your "preferred candidate's" let downs are simply inexhaustible.

Seems you are new around here hence the incorrect mentions in your post. It should be "Obiagelli, Barcanista, and OrlandoOwoh,.

Regarding your question, it is foolhardy to imagine EVERY GRADUATE would be employed under any regime regardless of its performance. Even the most industrialised countries in the world have a percentage of her graduates that are unemployed. Buhari certainly cannot guarantee employment for everyone but what you can count on is a seismic shift from the status quo where the unemployment figures are reduced to their barest minimum due to sound fiscal and economic policies. You are rest assured to see tangible proof of progress made from facts on ground and not some concocted indices that have never tallied with what is visible on the streets as is the norm in this administration.

Give GMB your votes and he is duty bound to transform that singular vote to a coupla pennies in the bank and an improvement in your standard of living. That is a GUARANTEE!!

Here's someone who registered 3days ago, has spent a little over 8hrs online and has 11 topics to his credit already!!! More interestingly, all 11 topics are anti Buhari and each carries the General's name on their title!!!

Politics › Attention Progressives. by omenka(op):
Good Evening my fellow comrades. I hope my last (most likely) thread on Nairaland meet you guys in good health.

As was noticed, I've been away for quite some time now. Logged in today and couldn't believe the number of mentions I saw, most of which came from fellow progressives and others of course from PDP supporters. It would take a huge amount of time responding to each of them hence the necesity to create this thread.

About a month back I was unjustly banned by some mod for violating "rule 2". I served the 3days ban and came back active doing what I do best on nairaland; politicking. Couple of days later I was again banned for violating thesme rule, but this time only in the politics section meaning I could post on other topics as long as they are not emanating from the politics board. But hell, if you ban Omenka from politics, you could as well give him a blanket ban!!

This ban resulted from me calling someone a "fool" when he, without provocation, called me a "bastard"!! He left scot free and I got banned!! It really broke my heart the mods could be so shamelesly bias in dealing with members.

Anyone with a discerning mind must have noticed the relentless campaign by the administrators of this forum to gag critics of this government, and this campaign has been ramped up a coupla notches as we approach the general elections. They do this not knowing that the beauty of a civil and just society is in the accommodation of dissention. What need is there for a debate if the mods of such a debate would only allow for the expression of just one kind of narrative, that which favours their principal?? The most resouceful and outspoken supporters of the opposition on this forum are either serving one lengthy ban or another, from gbawe to barcanista. Has this forum become so perverted?? The kind of anti opposition threads that hit the front page as well leaves a very sour taste in the mouth for their sheer idiocy and lack of substance; with the worst being the "will buhari raise cattle in aso rock??" I just couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that!!!

Nairaland is fast losing its texture especially in the politics section which hapens to be the busiest place on the forum, and if the admin decides to take steps to stop the drift, that is his business (very much doubt he will for even himself once appologised for calling buhari a "human being" when the general was mourning the death of his wife!!).

Whatever happens here onwards is no longer my business. I wish to limit my activity on the forum to just liking and sharing posts. The mods have demostrated in unambigious terms their disdain for the opposition and since I'm hardly in a position to put a leash on their needless onslaught it is time one left them to their devices. Perhaps someday I'd create my own forum where commonsense would prevail and triumph over inanity and despotism.

God bless you all.

Nairaland General › Banning On Nairaland: Possible Modification. by omenka(op): 8:32am On Dec 06, 2014
I might be strange to a lot of folks here. Well, I'm here ONLY because I couldn't create this where I'm most active; politics section.

I'm creating this thread to suggest a possible addition to the numerous awesome packages on the forum.

Was busy messing around my favourite board two days ago when on trying to comment on some thread I realised that I had been banned a moment ago by a mod and an anti spam bot for violating "rule 2" on politics (can't remember what the rule says). Since then I've got loads of mentions and it kinda hurts one can't respond to them, especially the reasonable ones. For some of us, difficult as it is to admit, nairaland has come to replace most other social places like facebook, twitter, bbm, whatsapp, etc. My monthly activity on those places hardly exceeds a day's worth of what it used to be before I became active on Nairaland.

Now, when it hit me I had been banned, I was of course upset and needed some place to vent my anger and then this idea came to me;

How about the admin created a place like some sort of Penitentiary where those who've been banned could live out their sentences??

These Prison(s) could be made peculiar to every board, or say just those that attract the most traffic where folks are most likely to get banned like Romance and Politics.

They could be given fancy names like Sona, Alcatraz, or Kirikiri depending on what the admin desires and CAN ONLY BE ACCESSIBLE to those serving sentences who cannot post comments on the Regular Boards and once they serve out their Terms (bans) the Prisons become INACCESSIBLE to them.

In this prison one can discuss whatever they desire, fight all they want, with minimal interference from the Prison Warden. Mad House I hear someone say! cheesy

I don't know how this might sound to the admin but I think it should be worth some consideration. If a cat must be denied its fish, I think it should at least be left with a little bone to gnaw at. smiley. Some of us with just a single handle since registering on this forum could actually use something like this.

I know this is subject to abuse. Like some folks with multiple IDs could want to deliberately break the law so they could be sent to jail. They would wanna have their fingers in both pies; being able to comment on the Regular Boards and still maintain a presence in Prison. I'm yet to figure out how this can be prevented but I think the tech gurus in the house should have an idea.

Let me stop here so you guys can make your inputs. cheesy
