Why must Africa always wait to be spoonfed Why must we wait for the white man to find a solution to our problems?? What kind of intellectually lazy race are we??Are we trying to say without the West, Africa wouldn't survive and prosper In reality this is what happens all the time but if one creates a thread praising the white man for their "superiority", every black Tom, D!ick and Harry would pounce on the op accusing him of being everything except the Devil. It is high time we started looking inward and develop our own unique technologies to fix our own problems. |
Wow!!! Nigeria is such a wealthy country!! Imagine all these from the North alone!! Imagine what would happen if these guys including their counterparts in the South, East, and West, pull their resources together to build this nation?? This country would be transformed into an Eldorado of sorts overnight!! But the politics of tribalism and religion being promoted by the current leadership makes that virtually impossible. Too much prejudice and hatred out there nowadays. This country truly needs a rebirth.... |
As long as the desire to make money supersedes every other, there can never be peace!! Some of the biggest corporations we have in the world today are those that deal with production and sale of arms and other military hardware!! They would be put out of business should the world be at peace, hence to keep their business afloat and flourishing, they, most times, deliberately create all sorts of chaos around the world and cause governments to patronise them in the course of trying to suppress those uprising. Further, the world powers, especially the US, asserts itself by constantly creating an atmosphere of instability around the globe. When there is no peace, development can scarcely take place. If you don't develop, you can't get so strong as to challenge the Empire State, therefore ensuring you are kept in check and under control for as long as necessary. Forget all those peanuts handed out to States in form of aids. If the US really want states to develop, what they would pursue is trade liberalization and not some damn meagre handouts. |
IGBOSON1: ^^^Oh, they have an agenda alright: to return power to the Hausa/Fulani oligarchs!@bold: very typical of PDP and her supporters, just as I said in my first post. Shame. |
0rlando0woh: So what is APC bringing to the table regarding power generation? What has PDP got to show for the various agendas they've had since '99?? |
What a shame. This admin has taken deceit to an all new level and the people can't seem to understand that as long as they keep repeating thesame task using thesame methods over and over again, they would continuously get thesame results! All these failures are so glaring the govt couldn't but rely on the sentiments of the people by propagating ethnoreligious politicking that would no doubt ensure their continuous hold on power and the perpetual subjugation of the population. |
The embarrassment of having Jonathan as Nigerian president will end in 2015! |
The FG has successfully constituted itself into a huge joke!!! Just look at these comments. In 2013, 10,000 was promised. Now they've reduced that target by half, and it also won't be delivered!! Smh. |
To all those opening these silly igbo, yoruba, hausa et al threads, I say SHAME ON YOU!!! |
oilyngbati: Your papa na im be the terrorist. So Israel should be exactly like your fooli..sh president GEJ, that can't protect defenseless nigerians against the hausa/fulani islamic boko-pigs, right? Are you alright ![]() |
From Madiba.

So telling...

Another terrorist according to Israel...
|
Hamas terrorist according to Israel!

|
Israel is a terrorist state!!
|
Honestly the question should be: Where is ANYTHING promised by the Government?? |
Descartes: @Omenka, Hamas is one of 28 groups officially declared a "foreign terrorist organization" by the State Department. Its goal is to destroy Israel and to put in place an Islamic Palestinian state. Its methods include assassination, raids, bombing, and suicide bombing.Permit me to respond to you by quoting what I said in an earlier post, which of course I would edit. Head feels a bit light right now: 1) I refuse to see Hamas as a terrorist organization, simply because America and Israel say so. They unilaterally designate organizations and States as terrorist and expect the world to also see them as such. Seriously, shouldn't such mandate rest on the shoulders of the UN even though it operates under the thumb of the US? Is it not absurd a single country could just sit back and proscribe another country, organization or individual?? Can you imagine the huge tendency of such powers getting abused?? Is there any International Charter that gives the US such prerogative ![]() I see Hamas as a political party no less legitimate than the Republican and Democratic parties in the US, and part and parcel of the government of Palestine with a military wing, the al-Qassam Brigades. I reject your argument that their mode of operation is akin to that of Boko Haram. I don't see the al-Qassam Brigades throwing bombs in churches or mosques in Gaza. I've never heard of them slitting people's throats or killing innocent citizens of Gaza. I've never heard of them threatening their own people with unimaginable consequences if they don't embrace their own interpretation of Islam (as is being done by ISIL). The only time you hear of Hamas' wrongdoing is when they are fighting Israel!! I see them revolting against illegal occupation and imprisonment. Israel has turned Gaza into an open air prison with her air, land, and maritime boundary being policed by the IDF, little wonder a British MP, David Ward said the other day "“The big question is – if I lived in Gaza would I fire a rocket? – probably yes!” I see Israel doing to the people of Gaza what Hitler did to them in the late '30s and early '40s, which the world rose against in unison. Had the world not stood up to their defence (including Russia!!), there would have been no State of Israel as we know it today. Pray tell, are the people of Palestine any less humans than the israelis 2) Why is it so difficult for Palestine to be given a full fledged member status in the UN Isn't this another scheme byIsrael and her Big Brother, US, to keep the country suppressed and under the thumb of her utterly repressive and belligerent neighbor?? Is Palestine any less a country than Israel ![]() 3) Why has the US never given Israel as little as a slap on the wrist for continuously erecting settler apartment buildings in occupied territories in violation of every known international law?? Would the US adopt thesame approach if this was being done by some other country Israel has been stealing palestinian land as lang as I can remember, with US and UN only paying lip service to the crime. Just imagine the number of sanctions Russia has come under since its incursion into Ukraine!! Is the state of Israel exempt fromobserving international laws?? Isn't this the mother of all illegalities, absurdities, and hypocrisy 4) Why is it difficult for the international community and the US to exert sufficient pressure on Israel to end the blockade and give Gazans some semblance to normal life?? Are they less entitled to human rights than Israelis ![]() I can go on and on and on, but I don't wanna sound verbose. There are damn too many absurdities going on as regards the israeli-palestine debacle. But whatever it is, I think Israel is by far the aggressor here. The world sees what the palestinians are going though, and leaders are taking notes. The scenario presents a valid reason why nations are in a mad rush to arm themselves to the teeth! Palestine is being bullied because they don't have what it takes to stand up to their oppressor. It is just like the saying goes, "for peace, be prepared for war!" |
Descartes: Hamas Must Pay!!You really disappoint me with this. Go to the hashtag #GazaUnderAttack and educate yourself!! |
Descartes: If you have been following me, you ought to have known that am not in for partisanshipBut you gotta stop sitting on the fence someday... We've experimented with PDP for over 15years now and the results have been absolutely catastrophic!! It is time we tried the opposition. If they falter, we kick them out as well and keep trying and trying until we get the right crop of men up there!! Afterall, it is said that only a foolish man does something thesame way over and over again while expecting different results! PS: Apologies for yesterday. |
mstik: Op, your title is somehow misleading. It's not like the disease is spreading over there, it's obviously under control and the infected people are going to be monitored. |
PDP: Conducting opinion polls in their dreams and publishing the results in reality since The Big Bang!!! |
Descartes: “The PDP in Osun are a band of liars who cannot be Bros, you too don decamp ni ![]() |
jerseyboy: Nyako can never be right about anything on this earth. He is a horrible human being no matter what party he belonged to. I knew our democratic process was seriously flawed 8 years ago when it threw up Muritala Nyako as a leader. The semi-illiterate can barely speak English and covers up for it by being a despicable bully. Jonathan's enemies are his strength. And Jonathan's closest friends, advisers, and allies are his worst enemies!! |
Descartes: Hope they will manage the affairs of NNPC very well devoid of lootingWith Madueke up there ![]() #impossible |
...because she wanted to use this opportunity toNothing demonstrates the acute colonial mentality of Nigerian leaders than this line!!! Our "leaders" feel more accountable to foreigners than they are to us! Little wonder her husband had to await instructions from a 17 years old Pakistani kid to meet with the parents of the abducted girls!! Shame! Shame! Shame!! |
I hate threads with a hue of ethnoreligious hate. #Outta here. |
