If you’re somewhere thinking about Nigeria and voted for Tinubu to do miracles, sorry is your name. Nothing good will come out of His regime. Those that voted for him around my area, are now regretting their actions. But I have no more money to give has charity for anyone.

I suspect it might even be from international community than just the local petitions if you were following events on the screening, you would know that a petition was tenderd by a senator against el Rufai on the floor of the house, so they will have to look into it before confirmation. |

Cooly100: Thank you.
This is how normal human should reflect on issues to resolve them without fighting and killings.
Now before this things escalate, many groups in the region have stated that the region is marginalised since after the civil war...even when the war ended with ...no victor and no vanquished to appease everyone.
But this has not been the case as the region has continuously been marginalised.
The region though a dot nation, according to some people has the worse federal roads in Nigeria and as well the highest number of security personnel collecting bribe.
This now came to a head when Fulani herdsmen were killing in hundreds with no single arrest made.
The groups now became embolden to ask for autonomy...they started raising flags and were killed by agents of government..
So that is the short history of the root causes.
The leaders in region have tried to solve the issue by accepting these challenges and that they will discuss with the FG in tackling those issues raised, but as have been seen not a single thing was done.
Shehu Yardaua was one of the best leaders Nigeria have had. He would have met with he team before operation python dance and try and assure them, and at least solve one or two of their issues...but unarmed civilians were shot by the last government and the issues have escalated to the worse.
Below is the meeting between Kanu and the governors of the region..
The next picture is with the senators.. I read through your post, one key thing you emphasize about the root cause of Igbo agitation is marginalisation of the region. Please which region is not marginalised in this country? all the six states in the south south produced 80% oil the country is living on today. Tell me anything the country has done for the people of the south south. Show me any supper highway road in that region, in stead it is devastation of their eco system without any commensurate rewards, yet they are not taking to arms. The entitlement mentality of the Igbos is simply what is giving them the impression that they are being marginalised. Every region in this country is marginalised in one way or the other. |

You guys are finding it difficult to Understand that lgbo people are not like any other tribe in Nigeria. You cannot subdue an Igbo man. Not possible.
Go and ask The British people that colonized Nigeria. Igbos are dangerously stubborn. You cannot cow them. Know this and Nigeria will have peace point of correction, not the Yoruba, Hausa, Ijaw in the senate but the Igbos in the senate requested Lord mazi Simon Ekpa should be illegally extradited, because the family wants to discuss something in the south east. 9jaRealist: So many Nigerian judges are either corrupt or INCOMPETENT…
There’s a distinction between making rules and breaking rules… Accordingly, that the law grants INEC discretion to set its own rules doesn’t mean that, once set, such rules can be ignored.
Even where INEC has discretion to “vary” its rules, such variation should be formalized just as the original rules… An administrative agency cannot publish rules that are binding on everyone else and then “vary” such rules by breaking them
Rules and regulations enacted pursuant to statutes become part of the body of Administrative Law… Accordingly, they can only be “varied” (ie, amended) in the SAME manner as enacted - by formal publication and distribution. > I like the way you are making yourself happy with your analysis. Next time you will be recommended for the position of the INEC chairman, congrats in advance. |

eldoradoxx: It's a natural rule that an umpire cannot change the rule of the game after the game has started. To do so will obviously mean favouring one side over the other. Does it make sense? in this case, what were the rules that were changed in the course of the election? It is either you are ignorant of the electoral laws or you are one of those held spell bound by Peter Obi Voodoo, that you can't think straight. |
Politics › Re: Appeal Court Voids Order On E-Transmission Of Election Results In Lagos by Omenlon: 12:14pm On Jul 23, 2023 |
eldoradoxx: The judgement does not affect the election case. That case was filed before the election. Yes, it is absolutely correct that INEC has the discretion to determine how results are transmitted, and INEC had in it's guideline mandated that in confirming with the provisions of the 2022 Electoral Act, results must be transmitted. Having determined so, INEC can no longer change the mode after election has commenced as it will be similar to allowing the referee to change the rules of the game in the middle of the game. So that decision is right to the extent that INEC can only decide how to transmit result before the election, not after the election. the worst thing that can happen to a man is self deceit. Obideints always creating imaginary scenero to make themselves happy. |

There is nothing he can write to convince anyone that, for example, a presidential candidate does not require to win 25% of votes in Abuja capital territory before declared winner. he doesn't need to convince you because your mind is already fixated. MadamExcellency: The honourable SANs should stop making a mess of the legal profession.
25% in Abuja is not fiction. Certificate forgery is not fiction. Forfeiture for drugs and money laundering is not a fiction. INEC posting different figures for Rivers State in IREV and announcing different winners and results is not fiction.
Peter Obi got more votes from one LGA of Borno State than what INEC recorded for the final State result is not fiction.
The world is watching. You can't win on technicalities any longer when the stakes are high. did you even read the whole text at all. |
