Nairaland / General / Re-emergence Of Police Check Points by omoalaafin: 3:22pm On Nov 19, 2013
When the IGP, MD Abubakar, dismantled all Police check points on Nigerian roads, most Nigerians were happy and relieved. However, these Policemen are coming back to our roads, harassing Nigerians and extorting money from them. I have noticed Police check points in the following places in Lagos and if you go there now, you will meet them:

1. Underneath Otedola Bridge - Extortion starts anytime from 9am.

2. Along Berger Isheri Road, before Omole Phase 2 junction - They are there in the morning before 8am.

3. Along Alagbole Akute Road by Martins Bus Stop - They are there sometimes in the evening from 4pm.

4. Along Akute Ijoko in front of the filling station after Baale junction and close to Akinbo junction - These ones are very notorious and they are there anytime from 8 am including Sundays.

5. Along Odo Saabo Road after Odo Bridge on Alagbole Ojodu Road.

6. Etc.

This is to call on the Commissioners of Police of different states and the IGP to call their DPOs and Officers to order before we start hearing about stray bullets and accidental discharge all over again.

Nairalanders, let's paste pictures of this illegal police check points here.

nke001: //Check body of the genset ( near the charge polarity electrodes, or other parts and also manual ) for the charging current__ or use a good multimeter ( digital output display ) to read the dc current of the runing genset.

//Cal :
if charging current (from genset ) = 30Amp,
Battery capacity = 150AH,

full Charging time = 150/30 ,
= 5 hours (ie, it takes 5hours for a charging current of 30A to fully charge a battery of 150AH capacity ) .

//When connecting the battery to gen, +ve (ba3) to +ve (gen) and -ve (ba3) to -ve (gen).

I just checked again and saw 8.3 A on the generator. My car battery is 75 A.

Politics / Re: Massive Construction Going On In Ogun State (Pictures) by omoalaafin: 2:17pm On Mar 27, 2013
Paentera:

Quite untrue. I passed through all 20 LGAs of the state in Dec 2012 and can confirm that massive road construction projects are also on-going in Ijebu Ode, Sagamu and Ado-Odo/Ota - areas the government considers key for urban development as well as for enhancing movement of goods for the state manufacturing base - Ado-Odo/Ota.

So its not only Abeokuta receiving attention. The state has it in plan to also open a road from Agbara through Ado-Odo/Ota linking the state with a ring road to avoid congestion for Abeokuta. There's more development coming.

What about Ifo Local Government?

Ojodu - Denro - Ishashi Road remains a death trap and a vehicle destroyer. Until he rehabiitates that road, he is yet to start doing anything.
