Please... What are the best way of rooting this device. I am on android 4.4. 2. Better still, is there anyway one can also root the device without tripping Knox?

Root your phone. Download Android firewall and enable it. Choose the applications you want to allow to connect by ticking either data or Wi-Fi depending on your connection. Then spooky the changes. Voila!

This is a very myopic way of comparing things...How can you compare apples and oranges? Take Phantom A+ and compare it with a Samsung phone of that price range...you would see the the fact that you just woke up and felt like typing. I wonder why people keep complaining about Ifont. I have used and trusted it on my e3 and my friend phantom. Download the recommended online fonts within the application...they're so many of them. Use the recommended settings. simple. I use the pro version sha. Get from apkmania.

4peace: Hmmm I was like this when I flashed infinity HDv2,the battery was dropping by 1% every 30 mins, flash it more than 10 times,but people still give credit to the ROM but I can tell you same version is best along Xperia HDv1 made by lilabm

Which ROM are you on? Besides, the Xperia HD V1 I have is that by Kumar Abishek.

Besides, did you Flashed yours from Nigerian or Chinese firmware?

gbodimowo: The tts is Russian so if you like your phone talking to you in English you will not get it to happen but I have fixed that by installing Google text to speech engine

On Xperia HD V1...I noticed that apps on memory card disappears when you reboot phone. Did anyone notice that? Besides is it same with V2. And again, any other bug?

More Canvas 4 ROM reviews.
1. Front camera doesn't work. No wonder the video player force closes when you tamper with the "look away pause" setting. Even the video calling on Skype and any other app that use front camera will tell you "Camera is busy, close any app using the camera"

2. Battery life is poorer and the phone feels warm. Using android tuner, I could see that at any given time, 2 of the 4 cores are active when you view it in CPU manager.

3. Music player doesn't play smoothly. It skips when lock screen comes up . And sometimes , the lock screen will refuse to unlock.

4. The only thing I enjoyed in this ROM so far is the wonderful audio quality. If you love music, mehn e make sense die. Just make sure the "earphone audio enhancement is on".

5. Going back to stock ROM jare. I'm out. I will try Xperia HD v2 later this week.

Did you flash from Nigerian firmware or Chinese firmware? Cos I found it difficult from flashing from Nigerian firmware. I had to delete some files from the canvas 4 ROM and replaced them with some files from stock ROM. Could it be why some functions like the look away and pause thingy don't work properly?

So, how do i activate them? I'm currently using the ROM now sha. Cos the video player keeps nagging that "it seems that your device does not support camera or it is locked." and it closes. what will do about it?

I finally flashed the canvas 4 ROM. Thanks guys. These are my reviews...more coming up.
1. Antutu Benchmark: 13109 compared with 13679 of stock rom. But Benchmark scores is not a true test of performance sha. Will put it to test for gaming soon.
2. I noticed that my phone feels warmer than before...a lil bit sha
3. Better audio output. Thanks to Canvas 4 audio enhancement.
4. I noticed that the look away and pause feature doesn't work. Instead, clicking the icon in the video player crashes it(is there any fix?)
5. There is confirmed 3G in sim 2
6. When you edit the build.prop and change to E3, the Video and music player becomes disabled and refuses to play.
7. Radio, camera, everything works fine. Overall, the ROM is stable so far.

I tried flashing chinese firmware using the method posted on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2399708
But, the SP flash tool just remains there...I ran flashtool.exe as an admin...all was futile. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? This Canvas 4 ROM no want make I flex am o.

Ok...I've decided to flash chinese firmware. How do I go back to the Nigerian firmware if I want to? I already have a nandroid backup of my Nigerian firmware. Will the recovery for the chinese firmware be able to restore that previous nandroid backup of my Nigerian firmware?

Godvilla: [color=olive]U can flash custom rom directly via the Nigerian firmware BUT u'll need 2 replace some files in the custom rom with ur default rom. Procedure can only be carried out on PC with the help of Winzip[/color]

Godvilla: [color=olive]Its best u flash the rom 4rm the Chinese firmware. U dnt nid 2 swap boot.img!!!
Remember 2 clear cache, system, partistion and dalvik cache b4 u flash the rom.
Follow every procedure and u'll get ur device running on Canvas 4 [/color]

Thanks...so, there's no work around of flashing from Nigerian Firmware? Besides, can the recovery version affect the outcome of flashing? I'm using Recovery 6.0.2.8.

Please, after flashing canvas 4 ROM...I was stuck @Boot. Then I restored the Boot.img file from my backup. It booted with a blank screen and I can't select anything from the welcome screen. The screen is just blank. The light does not stay on for me to slect anything. @Godvilla, 4peace and all the gurus...I need una help o.

Please...anybody tested Canvas 4 and Infinity Hd roms? Which is better?

Please...i flash Xperia HD Version 1 and there is no Battery info while charging if the phone is off. Any work around? Secondly...is Xperia HD version 2 better?

@KingMEXX...what I want to know is that are these better features of E5 enough to give up the advantages of 2sims, SDcard slot, removable battery and cheaper price of the E3? Are there really considerable differences when u run apps and games? Waiting for reply
