, I do not support IBB but if someone does, well good for him. It's my vote that counts
Are you certain of the bolded? I think this requires appropriate qualification. It' your vote that SHOULD
count. Sadly in Nigeria, it isn't!

@ poster
How old are you?
Dude, what has this got to do with the topic @ hand?  huh What a lazy, retched mind! Shakes head and walks off

as long as they fall within the remits of the law, i reserve and would pursue my democratic freedon to ostracize them from the rest of decent society. this would by no means be through violence but by educating the gullible and mobilizing the populace.

IBB in a sane country would be in jail at present. He has so much to account for the years of misrule he led in Nigeria.
But hey ho, this is Nigeria anyway, a failed state that sits amongst the likes of Pakistan, Somalia, etc.
.
Well said. The level of ignorance in Nigeria is staggering. That is what has allowed a few to hijack so many. Sadly, even the educated class have been siezed by the manipulative few. And what is the product? People quick to dish out pristine cliches as though Nigeria were a near perfect democratic system. They are quick to draw parallels with developed societies  with strong, democratic, established institutions, failing to even reflect on how these systems evolved to their current states. Until we wake up to our responsibilities as a people and confront the demons in our midst through direct action, we will forever remain consigned to the dark ages.
PoliticsRe: Boycot Daar Communications (AIT) Now! by omojand(op): 8:18pm On Sep 01, 2010
Get up and VOTE make it count and don't do like the ones who vote because they need to eat a loaf of bread today and suffer hunger the rest of their lives. VOTE and make it count
We must remember that ours is far from being a model democratic system.  Most times, results are 'agreed' long before a single vote is cast (courtsy of the same rogues that are the subject of this thread). The time to act is neither during or after election day, but long BEFORE.  We need to send a strong message of intent, dissent and disapproval long before D-Day
PoliticsRe: Boycot Daar Communications (AIT) Now! by omojand(op): 10:43am On Sep 01, 2010
The Nigerian media has become a veritable, willing tool in the perpetuation of mediocrity. They are a major part of the Nigerian problem. Dokpesi is not alone. He is no different from most Nigerian Newspaper publishers who put money above everything else. Unless the people rise up and demand a paradigm shift, even my grandchildren may not meet a better Nigerian.

The only tool I have at my disposal in fighting mis-information and propaganda is boycott and I intend to exercise that right!
PoliticsRe: Boycot Daar Communications (AIT) Now! by omojand(op): 9:37am On Sep 01, 2010
Democracy needs to be taught in schools in Nigeria. It appears people are still suffering from the military days.
One of the biggest conspiracies in Nigeria today is failure to enlighten the people. They call it National Security. Instead they
expend billions on projects like "great nation, great people"!. Rubish. They need to enlighten people on how to fight / protect
their votes. How to confront bad leadership and corruption! Our currupt leadership will never allow this.

If this had been the case, the likes of IBB and Atiku will not even be contesting in the first place. We all have a right to
confront injustice!
PoliticsRe: Boycot Daar Communications (AIT) Now! by omojand(op): 9:30am On Sep 01, 2010
I'ont understand what the Craze about the upcoming ELECTION is about.
Raymond Dokpesi has the right to support any candidate of his choice, just like every other People supporting an Undeclared Candidature.
Theres nothing evil in what they are doing
IBB has been indicted by a constituted panel (Okigbo). He shackled the Press, locked up student union activists etc. Dokpesi is entitled to put money and self interest before everything else. It's his right. It's also my right to boycott his compromised organization. That our currupt class of politicians have failed to act does not mean I shouldn't!
PoliticsRe: Boycot Daar Communications (AIT) Now! by omojand(op): 8:14am On Sep 01, 2010
You are a very big disgrace to rational thinking! (No pun intended)

So if you were to be OBAMA you will close down FOX  AND CBS?

Pls grow up and stop being unnecessarily emotional over political issues. Dokpesi has not done anything evil by supporting IBB or any other candidate for that matter.
Your response shows you have a deeply flawed mined! You compare an indicted criminal to a popular, aspiring President with an unblemished record? Have you taken time to study American history and the neccessary people-driven direct action that underlies their progression? I suggest you do. Nigeria and our sidon look attitude sef. I have to say There is clearly something about the night with your reasoning. Infantile and whimsical to say the least.

Listen up. We are in a unique phase in our nationhood that calls for direct action if we are to get out of this quagmire. People like you forget our institutions are incredibly weak and that currupt politicians are taking advantage and seizing the nation. We can do much more than sit back and watch indicted felons murderers hijack us all!

By supporting IBB, Dokpesi have clearly shown that he has been bought out, is partisan and anti-people.  I refuse to subscribe, support or fund a Network that's intent on perpertuating and promoting an evil, questionable character like IBB.  I have now, therefore, terminated my subscrition to AIT (not that they had much on show anyway!!)

TravelRe: Affordable, Luxury 2 Bed Apartment Available For Short Let In North London. by omojand(op): 11:52am On Aug 07, 2010
obviously you are new in the short term rental biz.
This is not my game. I'm in the long term market and normally use agents anyway. This time I no get money
to dash agent so going it alone.

the smart thing to do is to collect a small, non-refundable deposit before the day of arrival from any interested person. the deposit can be a mere 10percent of the entire rent.
I will collect deposit only once the apartment is viewed and agreed. At that point, a deposit will be taken, balance payable on arrival as you have stated.

No transaction will proceed without full identities. The AML laws here are too serious to be toyed with.

do not restrict your 'target market' to nigerians in nigeria. there are nigerians  in other parts of EU that come to UK for hols and have need of such apartments. they can always pay the deposit via paypal and you can always return back their deposits via paypal as well.
Good advice. I will try reach out to Nigerians in other communities. However, I would simply rent out to whoever makes the first serious commitment.

one month deposit required to stay for a weekhuh

you are a joker.
Before you start getting excited with your calculator and all, note that this was simply a typo. Original text corrected now.

considering the fact that the apartment is not located at covent gardens and i wont get breakfast delivered to my door every morning or a maid to lay clean sheets for me every morning
Ok, let me know when you find a two bedroom apartment with breakfast in Bayswater for £350 per week and I'll grab that
bargain myself personally!

BTW, funkybaby, are you looking to rent a place, or simply idling away a wet, grey Saturday morning in London  smiley?
