The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, COREN had its 151st Ordinary Meeting on 8th October, 2016, with the President and Chairman of the Council Engr. Kashim A. Ali, FNSE, mni, presiding. The highlight/key decisions taken at the meeting are as follows: 1. Council considered the report of the Universities Accreditation Visitation to the Engineering programmes of Nigerian Universities in the 3rd quarter of 2016 where 10 programmes were visited in 4 Universities across the country. 6 programmes got Full Accreditation while 4 programmes got Interim Accreditation. The Council noted that the NnamdiAzikiwe University, Awkagraduated 5 sets of students numbering 142 between 2010 and 2015 in two undergraduate programmes, (Agric&Bioresource Engineering and Polymer & Textile Engineering) which had not been accredited by COREN. Council therefore resolved that in line with COREN Act, the products of such programmes will never be registered and therefore cannot practise Engineering in Nigeria or any part of the world. The 2 programmes however now have Interim Accreditation for a period of 2 years with effect from 9th September, 2016. 2. Council approved the registration of 10 Engineering Consulting Firms, 1,626 Engineers, 77 Technologists, 40 Engineering Technicians and 21 Engineering Craftsmen whose capabilities have been adequately tested and found worthy of COREN Registration. 3. Considering the report of the Regulation and Control Committee, Council noted the alarming rate of building collapse in Nigeria resulting in the loss of lives and property. Council resolved that more than ever before, Erring Engineering Firms and Personnel would be sanctioned in accordance with its Code of Ethics. Engr. W. SHOCKING Uganda POLICE SEXUALLY assaulted FEMALE SOCCER FANS in pretext of Security check At first glance, it did look like male Ugandan police officers were getting a bit frisky as they carried out searches on female fans attending the football match between Uganda and Burkina Faso held at Mandela Stadium in Kampala on March 29. Social media users widely condemned these photos... but it turns out that the scene was not nearly as scandalous as one might think. The photos of women having their breasts and inner thighs searched by a solidly built Ugandan police officer with short-cropped hair certainly made the rounds on social media all across Africa. Many assumed that the Ugandan police were allowing men to search women: “Don't they have police women to do the search for ladies?” one asked. Many others shared the photos accompanied by dirty jokes, many alluding to the fact that the women being searched were enjoying the process. Photos of Ugandan police conducting body searches on fans entering a soccer stadium in the capital city of Kampala have gone viral on social media. The images purportedly show police groping women’s breasts and private parts as they searched for weapons and explosives ahead of Tuesday’s game at the Nelson Mandela National Stadium on Namboole Hill. As the increasing threat of terrorism looms, Ugandan police are apparently not leaving anything to chance, but some may be taking advantage of the situation. Some of the women being searched couldn’t help but laugh, while onlookers appeared disturbed. - As thousands of fans lined u to enter Uganda's National stadium in Nambole to watch a football match between Uganda Cranes and Burkina Faso, cops left nothing to chance as they search for any weapons that would be sneaked into the stadium - With the threat of terrorism looming large globally, it remains debatable whether police officer are allowed to go as far as touching people private areas in their search - Well, while some female fans remained indifferent to this rather bizzare form of frisking, others could not help but laugh as they were touched in unusual areas of their body https://tuko.co.ke/112985-photos-see-vera-sidika-without-weave-rocking-bald-look.html
