Shut up dindinrin this is kabiesi oòni of Ife's project He called the Governor to commissioned it the poster Is to be blamed sha
SpecialAdviser:
Congratulations Adeleke and congratulations to people of Osun state.

Shame on Tinubu Urchins being very stupid to be angry that a stranger won Election in Lagos.
This is even as a Yoruba woman won Abuja election against Gbagi people indigenous to Abuja. Tinubu Urchins are the worst set of humans in Nigeria. Very myopic and very tribalistic. Majority of them have hardly moved an inch out of Lagos. Very shameless pushing tribal rhetorics to every single thing that happen in the country.

At a time in the world when an Indian can be the prime minister of england, Tinubu Urchins will never learn any good thing aside tribalism.
They have been doing everything possible to derail Obidient movement as a tribal movement but failed in the election and resorted to intimidation and rigging.

Tinubu Urchins are the biggest threat to democracy in Nigeria but reasonable people wether Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba are not interested in their foolishness. Tinubu Urchins are a big shame of people. They are found in every tribe in Nigeria.

“na idiot u be” yoruba have more literate than any region in Nigeria ,i won't Deny the fact that most Yoruba do not speak English but majority people understand .We cherish our language so much here i don't know about Igbo but most yoruba understand English so well even most of us don't speak or like speaking it
Also, why disturbing yourself over yoruba matter??
franchasng:
Don't be deceived, 65% of Yorubas don't understand English, especially those living outside Lagos and Tinubu knows this.

The only Yorubas that understand English are those of them that have mixed with other tribes in Lagos, Ibadan, Agbara, Ore Ondo, etc.

I served in Yoruba land, I speak with audacity that majority of Yorubas outside Yoruba state capitals don't understand English.

If you go to Primary and Secondary schools in Yoruba states outside their state capitals, they teach them in Yoruba dialect. They even teach them English using Yoruba dialect.

But you are also right that an average Yoruba person is a born tribalist, yet they are not bold enough to demand for their own Yoruba country where they can live their life the way they cherish devoid of interference from any other tribe

Politics / Ekaladeran Not Yoruba Oduduwa by OmoOdumosa(m): 12:07pm On Dec 09, 2022
Edo/Bini (Benin) people should keep searching for the trace of their lost Prince..

Ekaladeran is not (turned) Oduduwa
THE BENIN EKHALADERAN FABLE HAS NO BUSINESS WITH OUR ODUDUWA

In two pictures below, one is our REVERED Oduduwa and one of Yoruba ANCESTORS in whom all yorubas worldwide are proud of and this is why we have his statue everywhere in Yoruba land to the point of naming Yoruba sovereign Nation Oduduwa Republic.

The second picture of a native doctor-like man is supposedly that of Ekhaladeran according to Benin people.

from both pictures we can now see that our Oduduwa have no business whatsoever with the Benin native doctor Ekhaladeran whom even the Benins are not proud of hence his statue had to be placed indoor unlike Oduduwa that's everywhere.

if character such as Ekhaladeran truly existed then there's no way he could've been related not to talk of being the progenitor of the current Benin royal house cos a people cannot be this ashamed of their own ancestors to the point of hiding him in side walls...

No way EKALADERAN came all the way from Benin and didn't change Title of yoruba kingship and Royal terms to that of Igodomigodo like Ogiso etc.

Rather He now went to change Ogiso To Omo'N'Oba ( Son of king)
Mother of king to Iyoba
Started worshipping Ogun, Olokun,Osun etc.

BENIN people should stop kidding and come back to their root

Why are you guys àlways lying from your jagonz write up one will simply know you aren't yoruba
Innocentman86:
Igbos marry northerners.eg
One of atikus wife is Igbo.and atiku is a fulani man.
But if you say they hardly marry we Yoruba Muslimns them I agree with you.except you are very rich as a Yoruba man that an igbo lady will marry you and when Igbo man wants to marry Yoruba women they go for the most bueatiful and neat once.
An igbo man rejected my younger sister even though she is a Yoruba Christian on her wedding day saying she fart or mess too much and don't wash her pant.
Sincerely I don't blame the rich Igbo man as I have told my sister's and cousins to always wash their pant and stop to mess every time after eating Amala but they refuse.sometimes I even leave the house for them when these girls start mess competition after eaten gbekiri, beans, moi moi and Amala.
It was such a disgraceful day in my family and because of how that Igbo man disgrace us,I know Peter obi is good but I won't vote for him.
I m voting for the sick corrupt emiolokan.

Oranyan journey to Igodomigodo was in the 1200s that's why we have some similar words especially when it comes to royalty. Journey of IGODO was over 300 yrs before that of oranmiyan that's in the late 900s you can see that so many years go the Language have been diluted by other neighbors

Nonetheless there are also so many similarities between yoruba language and edo Language

For example i met a guy recently he is from Benin bearing the name AISIOKHUEBO , honestly if any yoruba man hears the name he won't think it's yoruba corrupted Benin name

i told him confidently that guy this is yoruba words and he should tell me the meaning of his name he said” u don't look for Ogun's trouble”

When i break the name down it mean same thin

Aisi-u don't open
Okhu- the REMAINs
Ẹbọ- sacrifice ( for Ogun)

In Yoruba it will be You don't open the remains of Ogun's sacrifice

Actually is the same but requires effort to translate

But initially the words there have been corrupted but if one think hard u will decode it. An Average Yoruba man will not know That Aisiokhuebo is A Yoruba corrupted Benin name
soundOsonic:
This is beautiful.
So how come the greats disparity in their language, as the centuries 1500s and 1900s isn't far for there to be a new pool of languages?
Education / Re: Yoruba: The Ancestor Of Igodomigodo (Edo People) by OmoOdumosa(m): 6:50am On Sep 28, 2022
Benin became a big empire ruled by many Obas who are Eweka descendants also Eweka descendants ruled some of Yoruba towns till now e.g Tsekiri ( Ginuwa) and Èkó Island( Asipa) also other places like Obi of Onitcha , isseluku are all descendants of Oba Eweka i

The Current Oba of Benin Omo'N'Oba Ewúare ii is a descendants of Oranmiyan

We can conclude that Yoruba and Benin have so many entwined fates
Madmazel99:

Oranmiyan Renamed it to ile ibinu (land of anger/quarrel) before it was corrupted by Portuguese to Benin. His unfamiliar style of the board didn't go down well with the Chiefs, and they sent operators to keep an eye on him. This made Oranmiyan proclaim that lone a child of the dirt could adapt to the demeanor of the Igodomigodo individuals. He called the land Ile - Ibinu, signifying "Place where there is Vexation". And he left Ile-Ibinu (later Ibini, and tainted to "Benin" by the Portuguese)
Right.

Oba Eweka was long seen as hard of hearing and unable to speak his father oranmiyan gave him enchanted seeds known as "Omo ayo" to play with, saying that playing with it will make him talk. The little Eweka played with the seeds with his friends at Egor, his mom's old neighborhood. While playing with the seeds, he articulated the Yoruba words "owo mi ka" signifying "I caught it", declared "Owomika" as his regal name

Oba Eweka was known as Omo'N'Oba Owomika Ogidigan . Ogidigan Means the Great
