Those affected are the ones that came in before the stated date but were not on health and care worker visa or skilled worker visa.The husband in the case being referenced came in as a Masters student in October 2022 so family got visas with him and they probably extended with the graduate visa afterwards which lasts for two years.He might have switched to the health and care visa after these 2024 date hence why his family are no longer eligible to continue with him

The wait was killing..imagine 15 working days for visa application and another 6days to recieve passport.it was meant to be delivered on friday but when i tracked, they said "due to adverse weather condition" it couldnt be delivered i just had to make "patience" my friend

U need to get a date for everyone first even if its in august before u can do walk-in..Have u also tried shuffling between assisted service and self service to see if there are available dates? check prime time appointment too..

Try to book for any available date, then if u can afford it u go for a walk-in appointment @42k per head..as one or two people wrote earlier, it seems u have to go put ur name down a day before ur proposed walk-in day..though when i did mine earlier it wasnt like that then.u cant change ur application centre once u have chosen it

Everyone with dependants comes across this.It has been discussed on this thread several times too,U can also read back a few pages for clarity and yes,I entered my course end date for my dependants too.Feel free to wait for response from gurus in the house if u still have doubts but thats the way to go

@justewise and other gurus in the house, Please attend to this and again is it all schools that send such mail to applicants? I did biometrics since 7th of June (standard) but got no such mail neither pick up mail from TLS till now

This is an excerpt of the mail:

If you made your Student visa / Tier 4 visa application outside of the UK (you applied for entry clearance):

1. Your CAS is ‘Used’ because a Visa Officer has received your application and will now consider it.

2. The Visa Officer should make a decision on your application within UKVI’s advertised processing times: https://www.gov.uk/visa-processing-times. Please note that these times do not include weekends or public holidays. If you have paid for and used the Priority Visa Service you should receive a decision within the local advertised time for that service.

3. If the Home Office (UKVI) grants your application please read the information at the link below, which explains how your visa will be issued and how to check its details: https://www.ukcisa.org.uk/Information--Advice/Visas-and-Immigration/Making-a-Tier-4-General-application-outside-the-UK. Click ‘When your visa is issued’.

4. Please note that you must provide us with colour scans or photographs of the personal details page and the entry vignette in your passport, and both sides of your BRP card, when you have collected it from the Post Office. The University is required by law to obtain copies of these documents in order to enrol you. Please email them to ..........

5. If you have already started your course and applied for an extension to your visa from outside of the UK, you must provide us with colour scans or photographs of both sides of your BRP card. Failure to do this within a reasonable period may result in your enrolment on the course being blocked.

6. If the Home Office refuses your application, it will provide you with a ‘Refusal Notice’. As soon as you receive this notice, you should urgently seek advice from the university’...... You must also provide us with a copy of every page of your ‘Refusal Notice’.

7. An International Student Adviser at the Student Advice Service will contact you to offer you advice on the Home Office’s refusal.

8.You should note that you can only use a CAS once. If you are advised to make another Student visa application, you cannot use the same CAS again but will need a new CAS number.

Hello Good people, I got a mail from my school now that UKVI has informed them that they have now "used" my CAS. I guess it means that the application is now being treated.Today is the 8th working day after biometrics.

I think they all need to be available for the biometrics, though my son aged 3+ only had his digital pix taken but the older ones had both the pix and fingerprint taken..so its a yes

Please for a family of 5, if the main applicant biometric date is different from the rest of the family, i.e. main applicant date is 1st of july while the rest of the family have different dates of 6th and 7th July, can we all still go with the main applicant on the 1st of july without any issue at TLS

U will need to pay for walk -in (42k each) appointment for the rest of the family on that 1st of july so u can all do the biometrics together

U need to have booked a biometric appointment with tls not minding the date then u can walk in and pay 42k on any day u wish to get it done.try to get there early

good morning everyone, please after making payment for tb test do you still pay for the certificate? i read you are to pay 8500 for the certificate, is this true?

The payment you made covers the certificate except u want reissuance of certificate thats when u pay extra 8500

I opened the dom acct on a monday and got my card on wednesday though even the officials were quite surprised as they said it normally takes 5 working days. Do u have a gtbank current acct? If yes, then it should be pretty straightforward to open the dom otherwise u would need references from 2 current account holders with gtbank

I opened a dom account with gtbank and also applied for a USD card.then i funded the account by buying dollars from aboki.hope this helps

I traveled to UK in the year 2004 but my year of birth was wrong on my previous passport as a result of using a sworn declaration of age with mistake on it..It stated 1979 instead of 1978.now I have had a new passport for about 3yrs with the mistake rectified.Can I still go ahead to present the one with the mistake in addition to the new one just to prove travel history when applying to the US embassy for a visit visa?
