Drivers license as it seems most of the companies prefer someone that drives

You can get Travel insurance from post office for the purpose of the journey for about £20 for 2 weeks journey
mimilyrics:
Fill out and submit the application here:https://consular.mfaservices.nl/schengen-visa/short-stay?lang=en
Book your biometrics appointment here: https://visa.vfsglobal.com/gbr/en/nld/login

Cost here: https://www.netherlandsworldwide.nl/countries/united-kingdom/living-and-working/consular-fees
More info here: https://www.netherlandsworldwide.nl/countries/united-kingdom/travel/applying-for-a-short-stay-schengen-visa

It's an easy process. You'd need insurance, about £200 daily for each day you're spending, accommodation arrangements and flights (they don't need to be confirmed).

Follow the advise by others to get to the root of the problem but in the main time get this from the shop it’s just a pound but works like magic

rollykotex:
Hi everyone! I don’t know if this has been discussed earlier here, because it’s been a while I came in here. I have a very big issue with mold in my house. Been cleaning and cleaning but it keeps coming back darker, bigger and scarier. I had to complain to the leasing agent and the landlord’s contact was sent to me. He handles all the repairs in his house.
This man keeps saying I should clean and open the windows but this isn’t working. I keep opening the windows despite this extremely cold weather but the molds keep getting bigger. My kitchen entirely turned black and I have to scrub the Walls every 2 weeks.
I signed a one year contract and I’ve just spent 4 months. In fact getting a house in Wales, Swansea to be precise is like hitting a million pounds jackpot so moving out is not even an option now.
Kindly advise on how to deal with the molds of you have ever being in my shoes .
I’m so particular about it because I have 2 children ages 2 and 4 and I heard inhaling it over time could cause respiratory issues especially in children and elderly.
I’m so sorry for my long post. Good evening!

My apologies, I know this may have been answered here before, but this thread grows at an alarming pace these days.
Is it possible for someone coming from Nigeria to study BSc Nursing and go straight into practice. After passing any council or board exams along with the B.Sc.

This is a good idea and will do with a lot of marketing / advertisement
Mamatukwas:
I’ve been thinking.

Programmers/Business people in the house. Can someone build something like Rightmove but for Students moving to the UK. I think there’s a reasonable market for it.

Landlords will post their houses and ask for 3, 6 or 12 months rent in advance (I’ve checked and this is legal). Students can check and if they are happy with any house/location they view as usual and pay.

I won’t go into all the details but I think it would benefit both parties. Abi how Una see am?

P.S- If you decide to build this solution and would like to do it with someone I’m interested please.

Good evening everyone. I and my spouse is looking for accomodation in Liverpool. This accomodation thingy is very tedious. We have used zipoola and open rent but the terms are crazy; Paying for 12months min some 6 with additional bills like unrefundable deposit etc. Please if anyone has Futher genuine recommendations or knows a landlord subletting a 1 bedroom or studio kindly let me know. Thank you

How will your wife cope with studies? As it’s she can only manage to scale through first semester before giving birth, her visa will run out before the end of her course then all of you will pay again to get extension.

I disagree

I’d rather £10/hour up North than £15/hr in South especially london and other expensive cities
justwise:
...and you earn less up north as well..

Very possible, houses are “cheap” up north

Hello guys,
Please what's the best and cost effective way to send money to Nigeria from the UK.
Travel › Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by omopapa: 7:04pm On Dec 21, 2021
If you are carrying over £10,000 cash you must declare it at the point of entry. UK is a cashless society and you will have to prove (with evidence) the source of the money when making that huge deposit into your bank account in the UK. On the other hand, you can open monzo, monese bank acct and do naira to pounds exchange. Myself and a couple others on here can help you to facilitate the exchange using black market rate
IvanCardozo:
Hello friends,

Glad to join the family. Would be traveling to the UK soon. I'd like to ask, how I could move my funds while enroute to the UK. I'm on a student visa, and with my full tuition paid.

I plan on having some funds to keep me alive before I get a job. Can I put in my dorm account in Nigeria, and withdraw via ATM over there?

Do I just carry cash and put inside my boxers pocket? How much is maximum one can hold as cash on a plane trip? Will having funds in dollar master card make any sense in the UK?

When we are having a conversation with fellow BAME colleagues at work, those who don’t belong to the group always look like the outcast grin
Ticha:
Congratulations! The first house is always a steep learning curve! Especially in this very hot market. For first home buyers - my advice is to always go through your own bank first as they have all your financial history right there and can give you a good idea of your chances.

Re- brokers that's why I use 2 brokers. One for vanilla purchases who of course doesn't charge a fee but any small K leg will say oh you can't get it. The 2nd broker runs interference with the banks and pulls all sorts of mortgage miracles (completely legal o!). It's instructive that he is also BAME (I hate that term) and also owns investment properties.

Please I need naira, can anyone give me a very good rate?
Travel › Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by omopapa: 5:00pm On Dec 15, 2021
Congratulations
5gee:
I got my ILR.
10 year route
1 year - Student visa
5 years + tier 2
4 years Spousal/partner
Hopefully I will get my passport in January. Then I can start applying for jobs abroad.
I did not apply for my ILR on tier 2 because I was naive. I was at risk of redundancy with barely 2 months to my ILR and the company wouldn't give me a letter without stating that I was at risk. I didn't feel comfortable applying with that on the letter so I canceled my appointment and when I failed to get another sponsor and not enough time to find a decent job in Nigeria, I applied for a spousal visa which reset my timeline.
In hindsight, I should have applied and I would have been granted it, saving me thousands of pounds in application fees and NHS surcharge. More painful is the fact that I had considered moving back home in the earlier years but got to the point where going back without at least ILR was not logical. Hopefully I find a good role back home or somewhere near grin, Amen.
