iwaeda: Kwara is not predominantly Muslim, apart from core Ilorin and Pategi. Other place are almost evenly distributed. Igbomina have more Christians, Offa is like 48-52 %. Point of correction. Igbomina doesn't have more Christians and also said Offa is 52-48. Small small sma-small fa. Offa should be 85-15%. Go and do more research. Largest towns in Igbomina land are Omu-Aran, Oro, Shaare, Ajase, Ganmo,Igbaja, Ilala etc. Why do you think Igbomina land has more Christians? Maybe, because of small villages in Oke-Ero, Ekiti and Isin LGA sha. |

Racoon: Even if it is a government school, is that a reason why the people of the Islamic faith will always want to forment trouble when there is none? I went to a catholic school. Though muslims in the school used to stay with us in the assembly ground during prayers and with the school having a chapel, none has ever been forced to pray or behave in the christain way.So why are they always in the offensive. No Christian has ever been forced to put on hijab also. It's optional for Muslim females in our govt funded schools. |
Politics › Re: Hijab Crisis: CAN Hasn’t Learnt From History, Says MURIC by omosuper(m): 5:58pm On Mar 18, 2021 |
delpee: We had no female students wearing hijab in Federal Colleges even in the North all through the 70s to the 90s to the best of my knowledge. ALL female students of both public and mission schools wore berets or hats. When did hijab suddenly become mandatory in Islam? It's not one of the 5 pillars of Islam nor is it in the Holy Koran which states modest dressing ....same as in the Holy Bible.
A uniform is a leveller and promotes unity.
I just pray that they don't succeed in dividing our youth and/or initiating them in to extremism. BH and ISWAP are still with us as a major issue. Let's beware of creating more battle fronts. Thanks sister. Berets/hats as you mentioned is for Christians while hijab is we Muslims |

Nawah o. The topic is about Sunday Igboho who felt betrayed by the people he is trying to protect against the Fulani terrorists. Just about one or two northerners commented to defend their own, others paused when they see that their slaves have taken over to fight themselves. That's the level of maturity of those people you claimed to be more civil and educated than. And you wonder why the Fulanis with their very few numbers are controlling us since independent. Just for the record and for all those saying all sorts, Ilorin people are muslims, they were magnanimous enough to tolerate your religion, give you their land to peacefully stay( even if it is sold), carry on your business e.t.c and you want to give all these away because you cannot tolerate people that tolerated you. Wow, just wow. If this were to be in the core north, we all know what would have happened. Better stay still and let ilorin remain the peaceful place we all know it to be. You will lose out on a lot if you let this intolerance continue. Salam Kwara is a Muslim dominated state. This is about Hausafulani people of Northern Nigeria... People who share the same ancestral land and have been marrying each other for over 400yrs now.
We are not neighbors... We are one people!!
Attack on Hausas is attack on the north!!
Attack on fulanis is attack on the north!!
Attack on kanuri, babur, Nupe, tangale, zuru is attack on the north.
Keep the hatred and the stereotypes you have for the north in the south!!
Fulanis in the north are cherished and loved!!
We Only hate bandits, Bokoharam and kidnappers!! Any attack on Nupe is an attack on the north my foot. Your people do attack the Nupes here in Kwara north and some villages dominated by Nupe in K. South e.g Iganmu alieri and co. All these your analysis was in the past because I have so many friends from hausas in the core north who hate Fulanis like mad and vice versa.
