Hello nairalanders usually i don't post topics like this but someone needs some mature advice here. I'll like to share something with u, I believe I can use your advice.
Am presently in a relationship of over 7 months, though she's a girl I've known for a year now (we met February 2015 precisely), though she was dating then. We were good friends, so close that her then boyfriend suspected we were having a secret affair - we didn't. I loved her, but never opened up cause I didn't want to upset her relationship. June last year, she broke up with the guy after finding out he cheated on her. He fought so hard to keep her, blaming me for white-washing her brain against him. She stood her ground and never took him back.
A student, she travelled to Lagos in July after the school break. The following month (August), I opened up to her about my feelings. Of course it wasn't easy convincing her to accept, especially hard since she was far away from me. Later that month, she eventually accepted and we started a relationship.
For six good months, we dated without seeing each other. We called and spoke to each other for at least six hours everyday; I mean every single day not forgetting daily text messages and chats on WhatsApp, Facebook and bbm. It was beautiful. We just had to trust each other. We had issues at times, but because we missed each other it was so easy to settle our problems. She came back on feb. 14 - Val's day. It was, to say the least, memorable.
Now here's the problem. I have this feeling that I am the one most committed to making the relationship work. She calls more, I text more, the chats are balanced. Never as she used my pix as her dp, though I have - but I have chosen not to read much into that. She's hot tempered and tries in vain to find faults in me. I get the feeling she has a crush on me and not love - though she swears she loves me. Recently, I started doubting her. I came across her WhatsApp chats with a guy and was shocked at the messages I saw. The guy wrote: "I am in love with your body. Can u come over this evening?"She replied: "Okay."Next, the guy wrote the following day: "U were so sweet last night."She replied:"Wow, tanx."That was on the 12th of February.
On Valentine's day, he messaged her "happy val sweet", she replied "same love."Took time to write all this so u could be thorough in advising me on what to do. When I confronted her on it she went on a rage as to why I read her chats. Then she claimed i was thinking too far, that it could have been something else. Before I dated her, I could have any girl if I wished coz I was single. But after I fell in love with her, every other girl doesn't appeal to me again. I've sunk my heart into the relationship that it beats so hard just at the thought of her. Am confused now. Am not a bully, I don't get over jealous but I don't want a heart break either.

Later that week, she gave me her phone to help her charge it in a barbing saloon, then a strange number called and I picked, the person hissed and cut the call, he later sent a message saying, "you're picking my wife's call and asking me who it is" I replied him that he should check the number that he might be wrong, he then mentioned her name. I went back home to ask my fiancee who own that number then she said its that guy I saw his chat and I should not worry, she will fix it.

Recently again, she has travelled and up till this moment, she is not back, she promised she won't stay upto 2 weeks but yesterday makes it 5 weeks. That same yesterday, my mum's pastor asked my mum to call me that he has a message for me which I later went, he greeted me and say, while he was praying for me because of my mums request, that he was shown that the lady I am planning of marrying is not mine alone, that if I go ahead to marry her, she will wreck me and leave me, he said she travelled now and I said yes, he said she was seeing someone else in the village, he said if I doubt him, I should go ahead.

It was then my mum now said, my younger sister told her of a dream she had, that I caught my fiancee with another guy and it leads to a fight which the said guy killed me. I myself have had such dreams too. The pastor gave me 3 days fasting and prayer. I am confused, despite all her cunning ways I still love her but what should I do and how do I go about leaving her. Why are people comparing highways with boys scot? I purposely ignored the first guy that quoted me, because I'm tired of arguing over some issues on Nairaland.

I personally cannot stand on a major highway without a gun. If I get a job with the FRSC and my job demands that I stand on the highway without a gun, I would get myself sacked.

Traffic wardens do not stand on the highway. Boys scot do not stand on the highway, vigilantes do, but they all make use of gun, including the policeman.

Some of these FRSC guys have their offices in the 'bush' where anyone can easily go to attack them giving the number of offenders they meet daily. How will they protect themselves and the cars?

FRSC officers just like Civil defence deserve well armed combatants. Just so you know, not all NDLEA guys are armed, not all policemen are armed, same with civil defence guys and Customs.

Walk into any Passport office and tell me whether you won't see pistols and rifles.

If in d future, he found out his bride's father is a dare devil( that's wat he is), how wud he react knowing u didn't tell him before time. I also believe he loves this lady well.This is where the ball is in ur court. Find a place in ur heart to forgive the man just as ur parents have forgiven him. If u can do this, the way u'll put it across to ur brother will be innocuous and that will douse the tension. At the end, ur brother is told without ruining his relationship. looks like your gearbox is gone, does it looses gears after warming up ? ( it only works fine for like 5 mins if the vehicle had been previously parked for some hrs) that suggest that your clutches are worn out and when the oil is cold they manage to engage into gears but once the oil has warm up they slip and they wont engage into any gears

First of all, I don't recommend using Seahorse. Since you used it for sometime, you've been lucky but not so lucky. I always tell people when it comes to gear box use the recommended oil by manufacturer no matter the vehicle. Look for the manufacturer's recommended gear oil. Its normally written by the side of the gear oil dip or spoke. If you don't see it the best bet is to go for original Honda gear oil for your car.

Secondly, since you noticed dirt, changing only oil without the gear oil filter makes no sense. Please you need to go back, get a good oil and change the gear oil filter. Gear oil filter is between 3k to 4k brand new one. The mechanic will remove the old one. Use it to go get a new one.

I am sure once you change the oil and gear oil filter, the problem will stop. Again some cars have selector wires or hook inside the engine and some mechanics may remove it when working and forget to set it back. This can also cause some problems during gear selection.

I don't believe this is a gear problem for now. Finally, there are some jobs you don't give to mechanic without your presence in the mechanic workshop. Anything that has to do with engine and gear box i recommend you be there no matter how busy you may be. you are not the one doing the work but you can take decisions concerning your car there and test the car immediately its finished.

I'm tired now. Changed the oil to recommended one. one minute it works fine, next minute the problem is back. it will rev with no corresponding increase in its acceleration. No gear shift. it only works fine for like 5 mins if the vehicle had been previously parked for some hrs.

mind u there is no relationship between the injector nozzle and the transmission , the issue was initially that ur car cannot be rev to the level required for your gear to shift

I don't think gear shift requires revving. When gear is changed, it shifts accordingly then u can accelerate in line with the speed u want, not revving before gear shifts, bro.

@carblognaija@ Gazzus, thanks so much for ur responses. It never occurred to me that nozzle issue could affect gear performance. Nozzle was serviced as the car was misfiring, too. Pronto, the gear picked. This is a lesson for me all d same.

you have already ruin your transmission by using the wrong oil to service your Honda transmission.
Honda recommended transmission oil is Honda Z1 or dw1.
Transmission oil change require following a regular schedule .u don't wait until u are seeing unpleasant sign that will now prompt u to do compulsory oil change as Honda tx doesn't tolerate abuse .
Get another transmission and don't use that mechanic again .

If the transmission oil got really dark and had particles, it's mostlikely the particles found their way into the valve body and are currently causing a lot of problems. Your gear box is less than 50k you should consider replacing it.

Thanks, Gazzus. I was thinking the Atf needed to be changed cos of what I considered dirt inside it. Didn't think it would result to this. In the meantime, can I change the ATF and see if it will pick again before considering the option of buying another one? could the problem be electrical?

He finished and brought it home after which I discovered the gear was not selecting at all. for any of the gears to work, I would av to press throttle very well for it to move and the moment I take away my leg from the throttle, it will not move again. Be it reverse or any of the Ds. This was never the case before I gave him the car to service. I discovered he made use of one atf called amco dextron iii when I've been using seahorse dextron for a yr now. Can anything be done? Is it only a gear problem? I need answers , pls. This happened today.
