pasqal09: I thought ladies wanted gender equality??Yes we do but sir you need to understand that chivalry and gender equality can co-exist very much well.. My opinion on gender equality, when it comes to the workplace, women and men should have the same rights to compete for jobs, to receive fair treatment, to get paid the same if they do the same work in the same circumstances etc. Equality in the workplace does not mean that in social situations men and women are the same. Gender equality is not an excuse for you to treat women "not like a lady". Women are like delicate wall flowers men should cherish, respect and protect... Gender Equality or Not! |
It's official. Chivalry is dead. These days men profess to being so worried about offending women and being accused of being patronising they are becoming reluctant to offer the so-called 'fairer sex' seats on public transport, to hold open doors and to help mothers carrying buggies up and down stairs. Only one in seven men will offer their seat to a woman on a train or bus, and over a third say they never assist mothers struggling with heavy prams, according to research. Fewer than one in five men will regularly pull out a chair for a woman to sit down, and over three-quarters don't offer to help carry a heavy bag or suitcase. Why do men act so discourteously towards women these days? |
so simple and straight forward... Nope! |
