it ok dear. you can use ampliclox morning and night and continue sitting on warm water. it will go naturally on it own. it took me like 3 months. so you don't have any cause for alarm. just be happy, worry less and feed your baby properly. but if you are still worried, you can see you doctor, he will def. know what to prescribe. cheers.

i give my baby nutrend and i have never regretted it for once. Many say several things about it. But my baby likes it. For me its give me all the nutrients i want for my baby plus soya instead of resorting to making pap and all its several ingredients. I mix it with milk alternating nido and peak 123. you need to see my baby, very chubby. i dont stress about yougurts and the likes. and i think its a very good start for introducing solid. we started when he was six months and now, at 10 months, he is kinda weaning himself. i dont know if i am lazy but i found it hard giving spoon after spoon waiting for him to finish solid foods when he was six months but these days, he is screaming to eat solids making feeding time less stressful. my only issue has just been gas, but who cares. he is doing great.

slim05: Hi everyone, my 6 weeks old baby has had cold, stuffy nose for about 2 weeks now and sleeping at night is always uncomfortable, we went to d hospital and we were given vitamin c, can I use otrivine nasal drops for him?

i think he might be rather too young for that. I remember my boy having it around the time of his dedication and a woman in church told me to put shea butter around the bridge of his nose where the congestion was. It helped decongest his nose and he was able to sleep. But using vit c every morning and night together with warm baths for like two weeks helped to drive it away. i was also using silverbird in his hair oil. as mentioned in previous posts pls lets leave all these strong drugs for the good of our babies.

Luvlystar: dont worry, just use crusader soap and it will clear. As for your baby, it wont affect him.

Really, although it long cleared out by itself actually, I guess someone else can use this advice to avoid the stress I went through. Thanks anyway.

pinkydaisy: Hello mums,,new in here, had my baby on the 16th of May and to God be the glory. It has been from one problem to the other but all is well now, i can boldly come to this thread to learn more.
My baby didn't poop after the initial 4/5 days of mecomium,,,,,,she finally pooped after almost 11 days, come and see screaming and tears in the little angels eyes ,,,,but God being so merciful, she passed poop and has been calmer since then. People said it had to do with my diet but i have been reading online that it happens most times to most babies.

After her birth, i noticed her eyes were kind of off coloured from what am used to seeing in most new borns and drew the attention of the doctor to it but he kept on insisting it was normal, not until after about 24 hours when i noticed her pee was so concentrated and practically screamed the doctor into having a look at her,,,my sisters when she was tested for Jaundice, it was so high(the normal level of Billirubim for infants is about 2 but my baby's was 12 ) they began treatment for Jaundice with photo-theraphy for about 3 days and nights, i was just crying like a baby watching her under the heat of that light Unclad and alone. Her skin got so burnt and she lost so much weight very fast,you could just see her disapearing right before your eyes, worst of all, my milk refused to flow.
When we were finally discharged, i took my angel home preparing to start motherhood in peace, when it was noticed that the baby had more than the usual opening on her skull,,the Yorubas call it Oka,,hope i spelt it right? and the igbos call it ngbuwaisi,,,,,my dears, come and see panicking, everybody kept on bringing suggestions on how to help the skull cover up fast and sincerely i was at my wits end. i just turned to God in prayer and reminded him that his gifts added no sorrows so why am i jumping from one problem to the other with my gift that he has given me.I cried and cried unto God and finally somehow, i received his grace on what advice to listen to and what to discard.
Presently, my angel is thriving and she even smiles now, funny. She is eating fine and gaining the weight, slowly but surely.

Long and short of this is that every mother knows her baby best and should pay close attention to the child, always ask questions and be ready to sieve the responses you receive, discarding the unnecessary advices without being rude. Most of all,,God alone knows these babies best, always ask him for his grace and guidance on how to take care of your baby and please worry less cos God can not bring you this far to leave you.

Every baby develop at her own pace. You can only help her by putting her on her tummy to play for some time during day. you can try holding up a toy for her. this will strengthen her neck and back muscle and help her in sitting also. good luck

@ jiro. i have nt heard of unripe plantain and crayfish for babies. to prepare ewedu just buy the ewedu leaves. pluck it and blend then cook with fine ground crayfish to add taste. it was one of the first foods my six month baby loves after fomula with banana and blended apple. you can also try boiled egg yolk. mash with your hand and give. just try small small quantities first. he does not have to finish it to full.

i see you have really tried many things. Did you do exclusive for six months? If so that shld be y he is refusing solid cos dey get used to d bossom milk. But you have not tried rice based cereals. They a nice and u can mix it with bossom milk. U can also try ewedu with ground crayfish. Am surprised ur baby is refusing banana. You have to make him no that there are other foods than bossom milk. Take charge.

You have done the right thing by taking your little one to the doctor who is the professional. If he says it is teething then that should be it. Remember, all babies are not the same. But if you are still worried you can take him to another pead. to look at it. May God keep all our little ones.

blank: It is well. You can rub your nipples with a firm cloth (it has to be very hard to stimulate the milk). Also, ensure that you put your baby to suck as often as possible. You can take hot but light pap, pepper soup, red raspberries, drink a lot of fluids.

Be calm when feeding (stress inhibits milk flow), think of the baby while he is sucking (touch his face, pat his hair,etc), believe that your breasts will satisfy your baby, massage your breasts with a warm compress, do not think of the initial pain, etc.

If you can, use a breast pump as well. These worked for me.

Thanks blank your advice is always helpful. but pls, i have rashes on my two hands. Someone recently saw it and told me asked if i was nursing a baby and i said yes. She said that was the cause of the rashes. i never knew i thought i had heat and it will soon go. but the rashes has continued to increase. and it is very ichy. what can i do to clear the hands. i don't want my baby to have it as i place him on that spot most times.

Thanks for replying wakes. I am sure it is the original powder. I have an Uncle who grows it in his back yard. He grows it for diabetes and i took the grounded leaves for two days mixed with hot pap in the morning. But I will continue with the powder as you said although my baby has started taking NAN1 very well now. He takes it during the day and I try to bossom feed him at night. I just wish he would have enough milk all day.

Pls is there any drug I can start using for my prince before teething starts. He is three months plus?

Hello everyone, I need your urgent help. Bossom milk supply is not much as before and it is not filling my 3month old. i started he on SMA (white and pink container). He didn't like it and we usually force him to drink it. Then I tried NAN 1 still he does not like it. once he taste it he takes his mouth off the bottle. when i force him, it takes little then starts throwing up if i try to force him to take more. pls help, i will give him bossom milk if i had enough supply. i have tried pap, eko,moringa powder, tea, to boost milk supply, still it is low. is there any other thing i can try to boost my milk supply or what other formula can i give him that he will take easily.
