8 years and then loosing out.  Sometimes out of sight becomes out of mind. The guy stayed too far away and someone closer to the woman stole her heart. Moreover he created doubt in the woman's heart by staying out of sight for long intervals at a time. If he was really serious, he should have engaged the woman many years back. At least do some preliminary ceremonies to keep potential suitors at bay.

I wonder on what basis someone will say London is a "glorified Lagos". Abi na for economy, security, health service transport system or what. I agree that London is filled with old buildings that may not look like those in Hollywood but this people are trying to preserve their cultural heritage in those buildings. Moreover, there are huge and modern building in central London anyway.
Some people have jumped down people's throat here by playing the patriotism card. So what?

Its safe and has got millions of opportunities (especially if you have legal right to stay).

Used to work somewhere with some expatriates back in naija. These guys too like Indecency. Luckily we had a hardliner network admin. Thanks for coming to my rescue Trini_girl. A lot many people are too fast to cast guilt even when they know in their hearts the truth. Its like playing to the gallery. Anyway, we are in a free world where any person can believe what he likes. Personally I dont believe in suppression or self denial. Love is what kicks in when the initial infatuation has worn off. Its infatuation that depreciates with time. Real love endures for a lifetime.

The day I nearly drowned when I was a kid. There was this river near my house and we would go there to jump from the bridge into the river. We had been warned several time to stop the act but you know what kids are. The excitement was just too much.
Well on this day I had jumped from the bridge as usual but things went wrong. I landed in the river quite alright but HEAD FISRT. I hit the bottom of the river and blanked out for some seconds. Luckily, the blackout did not last but by the time I came to, my nose amd lungs was filled with water. I tried to scream only to take in more water. I was able to struggle and crawl to the river bank to lie down exhausted. My friend did not know what was happening until then. Luckily some elderly guys were there to give me first aid. After that day, I never jumped from the bridge again.

I am of the opinion that before 2 people get married, they should at least have a relationship for some time. During this period, they can discover a lot about themselves including if they can actally live together as man and wife. One critical issue is sexual satisfaction. Much as we like to avoid this area, it nevertheles, is one of the bedrocks of any relationship. Sex is exteremly important and if you get stuck with a partner who cannot satify you, its only a matter of time before the cracks will start showing. I once had this girlfriend who "did not feel a thing" during sex. I actually was planning to marry her until I found she was "frigid". No matter what I did, she just did not feel a thing and would jut lay there like a log of wood. I was always very frustrated. In the end we parted ways. I mean why would I be with a woman who cannot satify me. I dont want to play outside once I settle down.
