clemmonce: Thanks for taking out time to answer me.. i just checked it i saw my product key number and at the left i saw ASK FOR ORIGINAL MICROSOFT SOFTWARE.... GO ONLINE.. i dont know may be it is an advert ooooo but i want to be sure so i wont destroy my system by myself... if i install microsoft essentials the one you recommended and the software detected that my windows is fake it can just crash it... pls explain thanks

microsoft security essentials wont crash your system is its not genuine. It would not install at all.

Wait what operating system do you use. Is there a genuine windows image by the right hand side of the ASK FOR ORIGINAL MICROSOFT SOFTWARE thingy?

Uninstall the format facory software first.

Open your ccleaner.. Under the registry tab. click on scan for issues.

After it has scanned for isseus. Click on fix selected issues. It will ask you if you want to back up.. Just pick no.

Restart the system and install the format factory back.

judano: Nice write up but I don't see how icons or folders on your desktop slow down your system. Remember, the desktop is part of your hard drive and similar to 'My Documents' folder. The items you view on your desktop and their positions are controlled by user personalization settings using what already exist in the hard disk.

having icons on your desktop slows down startup as the active desktop needs to load all icons from memory before the system is fully loaded and do recall the desktop is not indexed.

Take a look at the amount of memory will be used up at startup trying to reference 100 to 200 different icons and shortcuts from their different locations

Although it makes no signifcant difference if you have lots of ram space to use. Even on xp, there's a special wizard for clearing unneeded desktop icons.Thanks for the compliments

to check if your windows is original open my computer , and at the top right corner you will see system properties, click on it and scroll down. You should see that status there. If its genuine get the microsoft security essentials. I cant vouch for AVG.

i guess the modalities set by Jarus is perfect. Having too many recipients is not too good,its better we have just a solitary recipient. I will however be willing to work in other areas like getting a suitable location ,shopping for the items, meeting with designated community and other things.

didnt explain how to remove those unneeded startup items. But here's it.

Press the windows key + r on your keyboard. I.e. Press the windows key and r at the same time. When the run page pops up by the bottom left corner. Type in msconfig and press enter key. Once the msconfig page comes up click the STARTUP tab and uncheck all unfamiliar things listed except items such as antivirus, wireless , bluetooth and graphics driver(igfx) all others should be uncheked. Click apply when done. Restart your system and you should notice the difference.

first you need the installation disk of the operating system you want to install.. Is it windows 7 or 8 or xp? Get the cd first then i will give you a detailed list of things you should do.

did your system come factory installed with windows 7? If yes check underneat the laptop. I.e the back and look for a windows oem license at the back. Its a 25 digit alphanumeric characters. Copy it out and click on get geniune now any time it pops up to warn you its fake. Insert the numbers, make sure you are connected to the internet. It will validate you as geniune . I just hopw you have the same version of windows 7 as the one that came pre installed. If however the answers is...just find a way to get genuine key because you cannot install mse without a geniune windows installed.


For thosw using windows xp. You need to first upgrade your system to sp3 before you can install.

even if the wattage is correct sometime most of this chinko adapter no dey last more than 1 week. You said its new but most adapters been sold 4 1k and so on are fake and substandard. Go get a new adapter and i can assure one hundred percent it would work. If you can get the follow come chargers(i mean tokunbo) it would even be better. Original dell chargers cost not less than 3k.

also from experience you need to press the fn and f2 keys together to activate the bluetooth. Your wireless should be installed already but if its missing the dell cd always contains lots of similar drivers this is because they lump 4 to 6 different model drivers together in a cd. Try the diff available ones. Also please note the bits of your system either its 32 or 64 bits and install the appropriate driver for it.

GrAnDwEeZ: yeah tanx. .said i got a new laptop dell inspiron m5030. .does not have bluetooth. .but came with a disc for driving out some of d hidden gadgets. .there' is bluetooth, wifi and some other stuff. tryd installing the bluetooth which was successful. Askd me 2 activate which i could not. .nd d wifi keeps telling me my system is not compatible. .any help plz
