typical virus attacked pc symptoms. Restart the system and press f8, select safe mode, run your antivirus software and do a full scan but pls make sure your antivrus software is up to date

hopeyemmy: I tried that but nothing came up. It does seem the problem has to do with HP Wireless Assistant not functioning properly. I un-installed and re-installed it but to no avail. When I checked window mobility centre, I found out that the Wireless Assistant or any of its components can't be turned on from there which is quite unusual. It appears the Wireless Assistant isn't recognised by my system as a program.

does your system have nvidia graphiics card??

go to your control panel. Your system uses synaptics touchpad.

Uninstall the synaptics touchpad from your program lists. i.e. go to control panel-program features-uninstall programs and find synaptics touchpad . uninstall..go online(if you dont have the drivers cd) and download new driver for the touchpad.

yes...

click start button and type device manager. Select the item device manager.

When it opens , navigate to touchpad devices and expand it, right click by using the right click button on the keyboard. It's always located between the right Alt and ctrl keys. select uninstall. Restart your system.

This should work.

The button on the keyboard displays orange and it won't change to white upon pressing. I un-installed and re-installed the wireless assistant from Hp website but still no change. Whenever I start the HP wireless assistant, it will only prompt me if I want program to make changes to my computer after which I click yes and nothing more. I use HP 620. I guess you switched the function keys off .

First thing press the following key combination.

the fn key which is close to your windows key or start key by the bottom left corner of your keyboard with the switch key and see if it turns white.

can you navigate well with your keyboard? you might need to uninstall the mouse/touchpad and re install it. But wait whats the operating system you using?

windows xp right? I had same with a client's system last year. Researched the issue and saw other users with same problem online. I guess an important system file has been deleted. Best bet restart and press f8 and select safe mode and see if it brings the desktop, if it does then restart system and allow normal boot if it however fails again then press f8 again and select safe mode, find system restore and run it, choose an earlier time but if it doesnt work then i guess you need to get windows repair cd.

press f8 when the system is restarting select safe mode. When the windows loads go to controla panel and uninstall all those programs you installed or better still perform a system restore.

1. Is it sustainable? And how, dont just give me numbers tell me how?
2. Whats the technical know how of the teachers in osun who will anchor this program?
3. Any support program for damaged items or stolen items.
4. How many schools in osun have functional laboratories of libraries?

I heard a confirmed fact from students who have been given to append their signature that in case of damage or stolen items, students would be responsible for replacing the stolen or damaged items from their personal purse.

Same way he distributed same uniforms to all public students and within 2 months the uniforms have turned ragged and dirty due to poor quality and lack of replacement for the uniforms in the market. I dont know how you expect students to wear just a single uniform everyday from monday to friday. We should shy away from all these propaganda and face reality. There are some basic things lacking which should be tackled.

Good day guys, we have lots of people in here who are somewhere or in some place or some position where we might need their services although sometimes it kinda informal.

For example ,lets assume I need to submit some of my files to a coy in faraway kaduna and i dont wanna spend so much on courier services or time is against me and i can actually just send soft copies to someone in kd email's to get it submitted in just a matter of minutes or hours and i pay that person maybe a fee for these service based on the negotiation we have had or lets say i am moving into in a new area and i need peeps to help me with packing i can just come here and post details and get people who might be interested and pay them apprproiately. These are what they call freelance or informal jobs.

I know some form of these go on in here but i think its a good idea having it all in a single thread as it makes it easy for both needer of the services and providers to meet.


All you have to do is just post the descriptions here and how much you are willing to pay for the services. Atleast someone might be doing this to augment what they earn presently or it might fill an unemployement gap.


I will advise no transfer of money please. The most you can ask for is for the person to provide a service at which you pay if satisfactorily done.. Thanks.

first...you need to uninstall the current drivers of the modem then next download anything relating to modems, communication utilities drivers you can find on the page femi gave to you.

Ivoryqueen: I use a hp probook 4515s.when I got it, it came with WLAN and bluetooth settings...and I used to see the blutooth/wlan notification icons. I've also used it severally... But recently I noticed it was no longer there.I couldn't find it in device manager or the control panel. When I went to hp wireless assistant, they were both disabled and though I've tried to switch it on with the wireless button in front, it still glows amber not blue. What do I do? Is this a hardware problem

problem is still the switc. Its kinda stuck. If it's not turned on i.e. Turn blue from amber then the wireless and bt would remain off. Try again...if it however dosent work then its and hardware problem that needs an engineer opening the system and fixing the switch. It might be dislocated,

lines means your system screen is getting bad. It may sometimes be the flex but most times its the screen itself. You might need a new screen and sometimes a little tap on the back of the screen work wonders. Although i dont advise that but anything to get it back to normal.

what about fear of success. I sometimes fear the success of something i am doing and most times i uncounciously do things to scuttle it or delay it from happening. And before you start preaching...pls its perfectly natural
