@op I hope you enjoyed your trip. Heard lots of stories about Mauritius from colleagues who visited last year...ooppss 2019 i meant. . Would appreciate much more outdoor pictures though. The skyline, iconic buildings , airport Landscape and so on. Yeah we understand Covid 19 and other restrictions but those tell a better story and makes it feel like we walked in your shoes during this excursion. |
@habby222 I believe there is little to judge from the story without a counter perspective. I would hold back judgement on the guy given that you don't have his side of the story. Although the way he has gone about whatever wrong he felt you commited is alot chilish. Also, there is little to actually reference from your post history to point out where the issues might be or things you can improve on except for this post reply of yours quoted below. "How cool. But mostly the guys suffers feels low self esteem especially when the babe earns more than him. He feels intimidated" Seems your experience in the relationship mirrrors your words here. Give him space and reach out to him a few weeks later to see what went wrong. I personally have a feeling you rubbed it in on someone with a fragile ego(not your fault) . It is however his responsibilityy to bring it up for discussion. |
Nkwobi042:As usual Nigerians, blame withces and wizards. 95% of all road accidents are caused by silly Nigerian drivers trying out some stunt or some crazy driving skills. Dangerous Overtaking at bends or single lane higways without road shoulders. Where do you want the on coming car to swerve to? Down the hill? When the accident happens we would all shout RIP and Village People. From my experience driving on Nigerian roads, the witches and wizards are the drivers themselves who have a suicide wish with the ways they drive. Numerous times you are slowing down because of an infraction in front and a buzu Nigerian driver would still speed up beside you trying to overtake while he can't see what's in front. If you now cut him off by closing the space leaving them on the lane of the oncoming cars they would start cursing. Like who are you trying to show off your speeding skills to? Where the fuc..k are you running to? If i am braking and you can see my brake lights continuously on at least it should tell you something is up in front. So why not hesitate and be sure before overtaking? |
Miyachi:Do Root canal right away? Wow!! Such should not even be carried out without a Blood Pressure test let a lone someone coming in just for a checkup or pains from a tooth issue. if you have slightly above normal BP , carrying out a root canal can aggravate that and result to cardiac arrest or other complications because of severe pain. But here in Nigeria. I have never seen a dentist except in Teaching Hospitals and some select Dentist who would require you go home first, rest, relax and come back a day or 2 later to carry out such procedures when you have stabilized. The number of people who have lost their lives to doctors not following procedures is quite high. We don't have litigations and rarely carry out autopsies so most get away from losts of things |
Orjforlife:Probably the guy experiences dizziness flickering eyes while crossing a road with fast moving cars. Nothing wrong if she backs him to cross such a busy road. |
NGpatriot:Isn't this what we have been saying about Trump? But some Nigerian evangelicals would not allow us hear words. How is this different from the touts in Nigeria stealing ballot boxes and rioting after losing elections? |
Arelyn:People who follow religion blindfoldedly like a cult are normally diagnosed with mental dissonance that's why someone would go against things verifiable by facts to believe in some fairy tales that 5G causes Covid19. They can't logically think . We actually need to be funding studies and having emergency health calls to treat such mental health issue as a Global pandemic because we have millions of them roaming the streets . |
A stock exchange isn't really a reflection of the state of the economy of a country. Heck most companies in the real sector of the economy are actually doing badly except for a minute number of them i.e Telecoms and some Consumer goods industries. So to the lay man on the street, this isn't really good news for you. If you really want the state of a country check consumer spending, manufacturing output and other indices that are a real measure of what is on ground. The DJI , NASDAQ are at all time highs but the US is heading towards a default, balloning debt profile due to Covid 19. Even Bitcoin and lots of cryptos are skyrocketing. The explanation for why the Nigerian stock exchange might seem to be performing can be summarised succintly. Most of the growth in the stock exchange is actually due to asset price inflation. Because of Covid 19 lots of real sector activities has been on hold. Most governments have also been carrying out what we call Quantitative easing by printing money/taking loans to subsist most businesses during the Corona Period( we all know there isn't any trickle down economics that works as most of these funds end up in the hands of the ultra wealthy) which leads to more buoyancy for these set of people. Coupled with the fact that Inflation has been on the high side and most investors i.e these rich men are hedging those funds by buying up stocks to counter inflation. Check the trends of most bonds, metals like Gold and silver. Their values have gone through the roof when there isn't any evidence of real growth to back such up. Check most of these businesses with massively improved stock values and compare their earnings from 2019 and 2020 and you would see it is just speculations pushing the prices up and not any real growth. Such bubbles would naturally burst and those values would revert to their original prices with time. |
@Bellong. Top ten reasons i am hesistant to move. ![]() Ani ri wahala. |
Greenback:And what happens at night when she alone is with her thoughts? We can try as much as possible to tell people to give it time and let things heal but we are honestly not wired the same way and some are more fragile and would succumb to such thoughts. The only other thing that would have kept her would have been her mum or siblings but I heard she was ostracized and made to feel like a failure and her all experience were just her imaginations and "moments" . There is nothing worse than someone who gaslights you and make you seem like your reality is just a dream or it is non existent while you bear physical and mental pains of such. African parents need to do more Nothing wrong admitting wrong doing and seeking restitution even if it means the end of you. You have lived your life, give the kids a chance to also heal. I pray she rest in peace. |
Causing bodily harm to another person is a no no. I hope the woman gets justice for this and I hope she heals from this. But reading through the lines , one cannot but notice that there is more to the story than she is revealing and she seems like someone with trouble and has choko in her head. The wife told you to vacate a place over a month, you didn't leave. You came back from whatever travels and still yet was squatting in the same place even to the point you were being insulted and called an husband snatcher. At that point you should have left and find all means to move even if it were a temporary recidence. The most intriguing part of the story is this. After numerous attempts it ends in a scuffle. She slaps you and Instead of you to carry your things immediately even if it is 12am out of the house and move even to a friends place till things calm down, she went to have a bath and dress up. Like? Some just slapped you and have been telling you to move out and the next thing that came to your head was to go take your bath and freshen up before leaving their house for them? That is not a natural line of thought for any human squatting in such a situation. You move out immediately. Sometimes conflict avoidance is way much more important and less stressful than trying to prove a point. |
This fucking depressing and you lots making fun of such a despicable picture. |
lanzie90:Honestly , More reason the old ones would use them to play kalo kalo for long. Most think government resources are unlimited so because you want to build a basic health post you should build a gigantic irrelevant building in the middle of no where. Who would maintain such edifice in a community of 1000 persons? Even one was saying "he is sure it doesn't have neccessary equipments like a Ventilator". Ventilator in a PHC? Are the youths this dumb? |
People are gullible and we have too many ignorant people in this country. Most are educated but not literate(i.e can make logical inferences and thoughts). What do you want from a PHC? It is an outpatient post. The nurses even close for work by 6pm . They don't even have standby doctors. What they have mostly is visiting doctors who come on specifics dates. They don't run shifts in most PHCs or 247 services. What they do is to take in patients , examine them, treat them if those are minor ailments like snake bites, cholera, dysentery, headaches, immunization , Malaria or basic hygiene issues , and if they need to be referred they would do so to a secondary health care center. They sometimes have Maternity Wards if it is a remote area and most of the health workers are people living in the communities or close-by so in cases of basic emergencies they are easily accessible. Also size is of no essence if it is not efficient and easily maintained. What's the population of the area? how many people would access such facilities on a daily basis? Those are things you should be asking after. What do you guys want? A white elephant project in a Village with about 2000 to 5000 inhabitants? I would rather have 10 of these scattered in various communities than a massive hospital that serves no purpose. |
princeogbeide1:40km per hour? On a bike while raining and 160km at Night? Please pity your family. The irony that you would put "God help us" at the end while exceeding speed limits by more than twice the reasonable limits of 80 -100km on highways is indeed laughable. |
You would have to be very very daft to embark on a road Joruney around Borno , Gombe axis. It's disheartening to hear this sad news but i think people would also need to be wise to access an area and know the inherent risks while traveling. You would be a fool to drive through a land mine and now expect to be hurt. |
1. It is simple security of lives and businesses. I dare anyone of you to walk around Marina past 7pm. I can't even drive on Broad street in the evening for fear of been attacked. A colleague's car windows was smashed with stones on that street and there are numerous tales of robbery on the Apongbon axis during rush hour traffic or early mornings. Regular gang fights happen on a steady basis. It's proximity to Isale Eko and the littany of touts, thugs, shanties, slums and rowdy markets around the area makes it very hard to justify investment by blue chip companies. If UBA, First Bank or even Sterling would have their ways they would gladly relocate to VI or Ikoyi in an instant. I walk and drive around VI at 12am or 1am . I dare not do that in Marina. Investment thrives in areas of relative peace. 2. Accessibility of the roads. Road networks are literally blocked around with all manner of wears by petty traders and rickety buses. Try getting round Marina and come tell your story. Parking in Marina is one of the hardest things you can attempt. From touts extorting you in unauthorized parking spots to inefficient and unavailable car parks. I wouldn't want to setup a meeting and select Marina ever for a client. So why would you as a developer want to build new structures there? |
Difrent:Lol. Wrong person to quote ..... I am more Hausa than you are so gtfu. Why don't you rephrase your talk and list why she deserves a critical position like NAPTIP? The child right act , laws against human trafficking, enforcement of such laws, rescuing trafficked kids and women, tracking traffickers and prosecuting them are all focal roles of NAPTIP. You had expect the DG of NAPTIP to be someone with some background understanding of such areas. Please share a single intellectual thing she has posted into the public domain to merit such position. Or even a prior job experience to tell us this isn't filling a critical role with someone who doesn't merit such. |
I have searched all through the Internet for her. She is virtually non existent. Twitter account is a propaganda account to retweet APC and government things. Nothing from her to even guage her thought processes. No know work experience except for being an "armchair entrepreneur". This is nepotism at the height of it. For someone who is to head an agency against trafficking in Persons you now go out of your way to appoint someone without any prior knowledge or competence to handle such position? The agency is under the Ministry of Justice and at least requires someone with vast knowledge of law and order. What background work has she done in such fields? Any contributions to the society in general except been an appointee? Buhari is the definition of incompetence and cluelessness. |
More reasons we don't need stupid safe spaces for religion. When you have too much enclosures around religion or thoughts you would start breeding such bigotry and utter ignorance because knowledge/religion/spirituality is meant to be challenged, improved upon or questioned. We are where we are because no one questions the stupidity or absurdity of what so called religious followers and their leaders say. You now have millions of headless humans who can't read, logically analyse facts and react. It seems the Islam being practiced in the North by a large majority of the Population isn't Islam, it is more like a cult with ignorant leaders directing the affairs of the milllions. |
qwertie1234:Wait till you work 12 to 14 hours a day getting peanuts, running yourself to the ground , getting salaries delayed or out rightly unpaid. The average number of patients a nurse/doctor should see daily should not exceed 5 to 8 so they can give proper care. On a daily basis health workers attend to more than 50 to 60 patients without hazard allowance, or even over time being paid. Add these to patients who won't read and follow basic instructions. You have to repeat yourself 50 million times on things as basic as writing your gender on a form. A state froze promotion for health workers since 2009. That's 11 years ago without any increment in salary. It's not rocket science. When you have a toxic and non supportive work environment, people would get angry and pass such on to end users. Pray tell how would such person be happy to even work let alone be courteous when attending to you. |
Sonnobax15:Please point out where what he said in the body differs to the subject. "They should go ahead and breath in fresh air". I.e throw away masks and caution to the winds. |
This guy is just stupid. Demystified a pandemic? Is he mad or what? God what kind of morons did he just cede to Nigeria? |
Gboliwe:Responded to you |
Danielstainz:Stop spewing rubbish. There is an official press statement that clearly states that the action was carried out with dupport from Niger and Nigeria. Are you guys that daft not to read up information that is openly available? "A defense official said the raid was carried out with the cooperation and support of both Niger and Nigeria." https://www.cbsnews.com/news/seal-team-6-rescues-us-citizen-philip-walton-nigeria/ |
lakesider:Abi . As usual . Rest in peace when infact there are multiple levels of dereliction that led to the accident. Who certified the " trailer" as fit for driving? When last was maintenance done on the vehicles. Was the driver drunk? No one would ask the questions. We would gloss over it and say RIP and go about biz as usual till another one happens. All these accidents are 100% preventable but nah we Pray to God instead looking for miracles when the exact miracle is acting responsibly and doing what is right. |
If my kid is 3 and can't read and write . I would gladly allow him to just play around and make learning more fun. At those age they are still just developing their mental skills and no pressure should be exerted on them. You can start worrying if he can't memorise basic things at 5 or 6. |
if you don't get out of here. It's not permissible but the Prophet (saw)led a Jihad against Oppression , Injustice and Slavery. See them Gate Keepers of religion. Stop making inferences from things the way they were not intended to be. What have the lawful authorities done about the Police killings and brutality? Even Prophet Musa(asw) led a protest against Oppression. The Quran Surah-al Hud clearly states. "So remain on a right course as you have been commanded, [you] and those who have turned back with you [to Allah ], and do not transgress. Indeed, He is Seeing of what you do. TMQ 11:112" To sit on the fence in the face of oppression and brutality is to support it.God knows best. |
For all those asking what #endSars is? This is it. It is about better welfare for Policemen too. Even some Protesters as we speak are working on renovating several Police Stations round the country. |
Xlyad:Vested interest? Are you guys asleep or what? Sowore was just pursued out of the Abuja Protest because they don't want any Politicians. Youths are the ones donating for all these. Search for Feminist_co on twitter to get account details. |
Mikelarteta:It is organic. No one . |
CilicMarin:Hijacked by PDP? Lol. Same AIT the official news handle of the PDP was just chased out of Alausa Protest ground. |
.
