ivolt:Exactly.. Most likely Carbon Monoxide. It is known to cause hallucinations and disorientations. Probably they have generators on overnight and this is causing students to see ghosts. Lots of things can be easily explained away if we just take keener look at things. Also lower frequencies than humans can hear can cause such. Humans speech freq are around 20Hz and above. Anything lower is called infrasounds and can cause such disorientations. There are no spiritual stuff in play abeg. |
Sterope:When they are just puppets and are corrupt and know that stacks of their loots is sitting in these Western countries. How do you expect them to oppose it? Also Did Ghaddafi do himself any good? Killing off political opponents, mass incarceration .it's not that hard to believe that no one actually tried to salvage the situation. It was obvious giving how previous violent regime changes ended. |
tit:The bars should be compulsory but I doubt that would have helped in that incident. From the pictures , point of impact was rear right tyre wheel of the truck. Guess he saw it late and tried to swerve and was caught by the rear tyre. More reasons the car crumpled on the driver side and damage was severe there to the point the left passenger door splitted open. Impact wasn't evenly distributed. |
cdoffx:Yeah i agree. It's only in Nigeria that you have articulated cars without rear tail lights, no call signals and no c caution when they break down. They would rather put leaves on the roads. Like how are leaves a replacement for reflective c cautions that can be seen from 10s of meters away. Also driving at night in Nigeria especially interstate is like driving blind. No lane markings , no street lights , everywhere pitch black with zero visibility. I would rather break journeys than do night time driving in Nigeria. If you are forced to do that, speeds have to be limited to levels you can make complete halts in less than 3 to 5 seconds. |
Apparently the stupid guy was overspeeding which is as usual of such accidents and here he is thanking God for endagering the life of other road users. Someone that should probably be in jail for Numerous road infractions. He would get well and do another such stunt and kill innocent people. We would all wake up to shout "why God". Nigerians think there aren't consequences for actions and inaction.
|
ThePlugg:Same thing some people sometime back said. If God is saving you, maybe you shouldn't also go climb a coconut tree with banana leaves. |
ThePlugg:Thank God for life till he endagers another innocent road user. It might be you or another innocent pedestrian he runs into. i hope you say the same thing if that happens. |
daddytime:That's Nigerians. Safety is all about annointing oil and prayers. Thank God, God is good, Miracle...all you would be seeing. I am 100% sure if an investigation was done this was caused by overspeeding or wrongful overtaking. Like 95% of drivers have no proper road safety training. One was overtaking a truck on a bridge at a curve last week. He was lucky to have missed an head on collision with another car. Two red flags of driving, bridges don't have road shoulders so you can't even divert in an emergency and then overtaking at a bend. That's enough to withdraw his license. Lots of drivers don't understand that trucks have massive blindspots so if you are over taking one you need to let your car be visible and notify the truck driver of your presence. Lots that do sneek up on trucks would end up under the belly of the truck. No one takes precautions and rinse repeat same accident would happen in another few days. |
Good for him. He should not limit speeds, be running om Nigerian roads like you are on Autobahn. He might not be lucky another time. |
LordIsaac:That is covered by extant laws. The house is provided for the use of the "first family" The first family can use the Airplane but it has to be while it is ferrying the President to a destination and they are just co-passengers i.e riding with him. It can not be used as personal transport for individuall family members to their personal destinations when the president isn't on board. It's that simple. |
LordIsaac:There is nothing controversial about this. It is abuse of office. It is an official plane for official duties. Any use of such properties without an official inclination is an abuse of power and misuse of public property. |
I think this is lovely. Maybe some Nigerians would cut their excesses. Stop giving births to multiple kids they can't cater for and slim fit their finances. |
Petyprince:I was telling someone that was talking about a Cocoa investment in 2020 that they are actually dumb to invest it. Cocoa takes an average of 3 to 4 years to grow and most times even longer to start bearing fruits and any sane person knows how marginal the profits are if you are just selling the raw produce. It is not like you are turning it to chocolate or something to get higher yield on investment. It is this same product someone is telling you to come invest an amount and get 40% returns in 6months on a product that takes years to germinate. Isn't this obviously a scam? Also if they were having cash flow issues and needed liquid money. A bank loan is approximately 22% interest yearly. So why would you take money from the Public to pay 40% as a business when you can get bank loans at 22% and retain the extra 18% you are to pay the public to yourself if you were really a genuine biz? That alone should tell you what you need to know. But as usual. Most Nigerians went to school but never gleaned any common sense out of the education and certificate they flaunt around. |
No empathy for such people. Their greed found them something to nurse. A large swathe of Nigerians are actually gullible. They deserved to be scammed. That's why these kind of Ponzi would continue to thrive. Aren't they the ones contributing money they don't have for BBN members? Buying skin care products worth thousands without any form of checks on what the product entails aside the brainwashing videos of the sellers? They both deserve each other. The scammer and the scammed. |
Probably there is a large limestone deposit close to the River source. Lots of large limestone deposits around the Cross River basin so this is likely the cause. Such large concentration of these minerals would alter the color of the water. I hope no one is taking a cup of water to drink from this place until it is certified not harmful to human health. |
You are an exception not the norm. This writeup is absolutely false and has no scientific backing behind it. |
Op should send a PM. Kindly please quit. Would pay you 50% of that current salary for 3 months consecutively free.. At least in 3 months you should have been able to apply and at least find something worth doing than this . These are jobs that should be filled by kids waiting for UNI admission who don't want to be idle. Not one for a grown adult with an HND. |
chronos00:This is absolute BS. He observed something and is following through to ask questions. Instead of you to provide answers/facts/links or move on. You are invalidating his credible opinions. How did you come to the conclusion that the is 250 is structurally safe? From what line are you pulling your dataset out from? Crash test performed by you? He has seen 8 different cars of same model and they are a complete write off. That's a point of concern. Is it the owners (likely young adults) driving recklessly? Is it because of the low profile tyres used on these cars in Nigeria? Is the engines turbo charged so most drivers drive much faster and in the event of accidents those cars are severely damaged due to speed. Are the cars crumple zones made much more softer so as to take the shock and blow of an accident thus preventing serious injuries to the occupants? Not a single one of this did you answer or provide insights to. Mtsshwweee |
FalseProphet1:If any employer ask me this question. They sure are not ready to get my services. I don't have time for stupidity. Their loss. You would tell me how such stupid questions would aid the delivery of JD. |
AsherAmari:Easier said than done. Best option is to leave such marriages but honestly the realities for a lot of ladies in such abusive relationships is quite grim. There's a soceital understanding that a separated or divorced woman is a bad person or an outcast. Trust me, you would wish to be dead than to be exposed to such constant psychological trauma the society puts women in such situations through. You would never want to be in such, so most times ladies try and wait and hope that with time things would improve and such would abate We have built a society where even Landlords wouldn't rent houses to single mothers. Also setting up a new life or resettlement is extremely hard and frustrating especially in a country where millions are just struggling to live. Most ladies can't even move back home because the jobs they do is in the city and moving is a no no except you want them to lose their livelihoods. Last thing you would advise someone trying to leave a bad situation to do. Also most aren't even bouyant enough to make such move. If you take a look at such abusive relationships, the man always cuts her independence by making her financially dependent and also cuts family and friends from her. So where would a mother of 3 without a penny to her name move to? From an outsider's POV, moving out is the easiest solution to preserve life but until we start looking at the challenges faced by married women in such abusive relationships and why 90% rarely exit the marriage and seek ways of resolving their "hesitations" then we would not stop hearing such endless sad news unfortunately. |
I think he is going senile. Context is everything. He should come forward and justify how the high cost of governance in Nigeria has yielded anything positive. A cost of governance that is so high that it improverishes the governed and strips them of any access to basic need. Cost of governance that bestows perpetual pensions, 4 brand new cars every 2 to 3 years for ex Governors and their deputies, pensions for their wives while even the brightest young chap working in a blue chip company in the same country can't afford to buy even the most basic brand new sedan in the market even if they have to save all their allowances for 5 years. He should come justify that. Wages , structure of government, should mirror the environment, ours is upside down like everything. He should come justify how it is efficient that a governor has 21 commisioners, 500 Senior SAs, 1000 SAs, retinue of economic advisers, chairmen of 100s of Boards and their members and such state can't pay basic salaries for months, is in huge debt, can't provide basic amenities, education is zero, health is moribund and roads across the state is in abject disarray while the so called leaders receive fat salaries for such absolute underperformance. When he is done maybe we can have a discussion as regards how efficient our cost of governance is. He must be mental honestly. |
travelwaka:Ok . No issues. I can understand |
travelwaka:Lol. Not attacking you jare, just your idea of broke shaming people about 10k been too much. Truth is people need to speak up about these prices. Everything seems to be upside down in Lagos . Something doesn't have to be pricey for it be termed upscale or good. I understand cost of running biz is high but still yet those prices are expensive asf for the services. Bistros world over are corner shops that are for cheap food and drinks. We visited one popular bistro in Ikoyi don't let me mention names and i was just like i give up. I hope you enjoyed your 30mins water castle though. Must have been an experience. ![]() |
travelwaka:It isn't about being broke. But the cost of parks and recreation in Lagos is becoming extornists and outrageous given the income . Why should i pay outrageously for something average? 10k is averagely $25. A 1 day water park entry into DisneWorld in Florida is $69 and the facilities in there is 50 times whatever you have up there. I went bungee jumping in Joburg and it cost us 300 rands for two people. That's average of N3500 per person. That's a justifiable cost not this baby sand castle in the water for 5k 1 hour. You lots would complain tourism is not booming in Nigeria. How would people visit parks that cost them a months salary for a few hours of entertainment? Aside that the entertainment isn't even that outrageously good. |
Lovely scenes but na the money you go dey calculate not the fun. ![]() Problem with such areas are. They are way too expensive. 5000 for adults just to spend 1hour. Outside food not allowed in. So definitely food would be expensive. To get a soda drink and prolly donut would be like 3k. You pay 2k to access the beach area per head. Just to spend 1 hour of which the first 10 minutes would be you trying to wear the gear and the last 10mimutes would be about you trying to leave. At the end you and bey have spent 20k just to have 45 minutes of fun. Maybe when i start receiving that armed robber salary we would visit. As of now let me continue watching on youtube. ![]() |
At this point the only sensible thing is to dissolve this country. If some section of the country want to live like animals in the stoneage without freedom for other members of the society then they should be allowed to do that in their own enclave/country. As long as there is a secular constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria all those things they have codified is absolute BS when it relates to people who aren't "covered". Kano Hisbah should remind me where such stupid laws applied to non muslims and when did Sharia courts have the right to hold people behind bars for Civil matters that is if we are even assuming that this case is worth listening to. This is beyond disgusting. This is why allowing religious talk to exist in a silo amongst a group of people is the worst thing that can happen, before long such set of people would have turned cult like. It has been repeatedly proven. This isn't Islam anymore, this is more like cultism without any commonsense. |
kunki90:You sure those engine mounts are OEM? Those fake ass Chinese knockoffs they sell in Nigerian markets aren't mounts but just rubber. Had an issue with bad vibration after changing mounts on an Honda. Only thing that made me realise it was the mounts that were causing the vibrations at idle was that i took down notes and dates of changes and could walk back to when i started noticing the issues. Took me months to finally figure it out and fix it. Your Nigerian mech were all shouting change plug, throttle body is dirty, fuel pump and what not. I ordered a complete set of throttle body with all sets of Solenoid intact without improvement. Most of those mounts are hydraulic mounts which can detect load and stabilise the car. You get a knockoff mount without the hydraulic and you would get such bad vibrations. |
I doubt there is anything dumber than this. That you are a first class student doesn't mean you have flair for teaching or you are a good teacher. Even with training there is still that little desire to want to impact knowledge which sadly isn't weighed by academic qualifications. |
overdrive:They use women now to lower your hindrance . Your normal thought process is that a woman would not be involved in scam thus removing your inhibitions. We all just need to be careful. Too many people prowling. |
Does the presiding judge actually know what they are doing exactly? Or probably those that reported this judgement are mistaken. So he spends 2 years behind bars and if after time elapses and he isn't able to pay the 2million back . What happens exactly? He is not released from Prison or what? Or the Plaintiff has to file another case after the two years? |
