dalongjnr: Politics of bitterness. That's no reason 'cos u are not the only person affected. Exactly, Adams ruled Edo for 8 years, that's 96 months and he paid pension for 88 months so because he owned you 8 months, you suspended him at his ward? Please how was this a solution to your problem,if not selfishness? That's a bitterness of the highest order,so if he wasnt a National Chairman how would you have gotten your benefits? This is why Nigeria has a long way to go,one can only imagine how this man handles issues in his own family, now convert Obaseki's administration into months and compare with Adams time, ask yourself was Adams doing well at that time? Nigeria politics is nonsense and rubbish,no cogent reason for going to governance other than to steal, why? Adams brought home a University, Ambrose Alli was the last person to do that many years ago, even Augustine Ikhomu couldn't develop the state then as a 2nd in command in Nigeria. Imagine every other person owned those 8 months pension carried same bitterness, guess you wouldn't sleep ur eyes closed every night in Edo state, does it mean every govt staff is happy under Obaseki? We should learn how to use our common sense, many people are looking and praying for that opportunity u had yet you are witch-hurting,please play politics of contents and values because that's only way Nigeria will be better place to live in. |

Lots of people, don't see and understand what Bishop Oyedepo and Pastor Oyakhilome Chris is seeing and talking about. Lots of you, toeing the line of thought of Pastor Oyemade, don't know, the power of the cooperate church. If you know, you will not be in his support. You don't know, what damage, spiritually the closure of the place of worship has done to lots of believers, lots of Christians will never be the same after this lockdown and closure Wait till the closure is lifted, then you will understand. I stand with Bishop Oyedepo and Pastor Chris. Oyakhilome. Pls did Bible teaches Christians not to respect the Authority of the land? Mosques and other worship places were also directed to close till further notice, why is the big news for churches alone? Where is it in the Bible that says until Christians go to a particular house their prayers won't be answered or worship won't be accepted by God? We should be aware that Religion and Spirituality arent the same, they are 2 different things. Pastor Poju has spoken well, the world needs big help from all these Pastors,China,Italy,USA,etc need their miracle prowess for Covid19 cure and it 'll be a great wickedness to mankind if they refused to assist. |

Politics › Re: I Can Vouch For Atiku Anywhere - Obasanjo (reasons) by oneunited(m): 10:47pm On Jan 30, 2019 |
PoliticsNigeria: @POLITICSNGR
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Wednesday said he could vouch for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to reposition the country.
PoliticsNGR learned that Obasanjo made the statement in Lagos while speaking at the 2019 Island Club Quarterly Business Lecture. Abubakar had earlier delivered his lecture themed: “My vision to get Nigeria Working again”.
Obasanjo, in his remark said he believed that Atiku had the experience, the capacity and passion to move the country forward.
He said Nigerians should no longer find his support for the former vice president strange going by what he said or wrote about him in the past.
He reiterated that he stood firmly by whatever he said in the past about Atiku and indeed President Buhari.
He, however, said the PDP candidate had demonstrated what was expected of a committed and sincere leader by owing up to his past mistakes and showing remorse.
Obasanjo added that Atiku had not only apologised to his political party and the nation, but also apologised to him for the past disagreements he made as his deputy.
He said that Atiku was not infallible like every other human being and that he, (Obasanjo) would be playing God by not forgiving the former Vice-President.
“I have been called names because of my position on Atiku Abubakar, the Waziri Adamawa.
“Everything I have said as far as I have knowledge of Atiku, I have not retracted and I stand firmly by them because they are to the best of my knowledge true.
“And neither has what I have said and written about Buhari been controverted, if anything, they have been confirmed and proved beyond any shadow of doubt.
“But Atiku has done things which are absolutely imperative for a leader to be followed and believed.
“First, know who you are and present yourself as you are – a human being in blood and flesh and susceptible to human mistakes and human frailties.
“Don’t cover up with sanctimonious veneer of bogus integrity, incorruptibility, uprightness, goodness and false figures and statistics, all of which are contrived to deceive, to cheat, to plunder and to destroy.
“Atiku never claimed to be a saint and I never described him as such. I will never so describe any human being alive let alone calling him a Messiah.
“On an occasion in the past when I said that someone was not a Messiah, some Nigerians out of bad “belle’’ were up in arms.
“For me, as a Christian, the only Messiah I know and have is Jesus Christ and even then, the man aspect of Him was imperfect while the divine aspect of Him was perfectly messianic.
“Secondly, a leader must be honest to himself and to the people he serves or he wants to serve.
“He must identify and acknowledge his situation, mistakes, shortcomings and inadequacy; show remorse where and when he has erred, seek forgiveness and repent; and not passing the bulk or keep blaming others and fail to accept responsibility.
“Atiku accepts responsibility for his mistakes, shows remorse and seeks forgiveness from his political party and subsequently from Nigerians.
“He asks for forgiveness from me and as a believer, a Christian as such, I forgave him in accordance with the teaching and instruction of my Saviour.
“For, if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly father will also forgive you.
“But if you do not forgive men their sins, your father will not forgive your sins (Matt 6:14-15 NIV).
“If anybody blames me for forgiving Atiku, I leave such a person with God Almighty, especially as both Christian and Islamic clerics joined Atiku to visit me to seek forgiveness.
“Anybody who does not forgive when forgiveness is sought with contrite heart cannot be a true believer and should not expect the forgiveness of God,” he said.
He said past disagreements notwithstanding, Atiku demonstrated great leadership qualities when he was in office as Vice-President.
Obasanjo said he believed with the experience and courage of Abubakar, he remained the best candidate to move the country forward.
“I must reiterate that Atiku is not a saint. Who is? But from what I know of Atiku, he will be a performer in all respect. I can say that again from my personal experience.
“He knows the problems and he handled some of them in the past.
“We now know that both Buhari and Atiku have issues and all of us as human beings have one issue or the other in different magnitudes.
“But judging both of them empirically and for the task at hand, Atiku will perform much better than Buhari.
“And he will seek for good and able people around the country and beyond and make use of them to achieve his mission and vision for the general good of Nigerians and the country,” he said.
Obasanjo claimed that the state of affairs under All Progressives Congress (APC) had been disappointing and called on the citizens to effect a change with their votes.
He also commended Island Club for providing the platform for leaders to articulate their visions for the country through the lecture.
He said the series of the Club’s lecture had helped enriched discourse on nation-building.

Politics › Re: Lagos APC Primaries: Tinubu May Have To Cry! - Ayeni Faith Damilola by oneunited(m): 3:38pm On Oct 02, 2018 |
please tell us how much you were paid to write this! Did you know Ambode before 3yrs ago, have you taken time to compare his administration with the previous ones, have you taken note how dirty and smelling Lagos has become after Fashola regime? That guy has no clue on how to govern the smalleat state in Nigeria! Now, the same person that presented him to Lagosians about 4yrs ago says no need for a second term, so be it because the guy has failed woefully in governance. Instead of building on BRF's success in Lagos he decided to be a superstar unnecessarily. There are so many projects in Lagos today, all are far from half done, why? He should remember we were all in Lagos before he became Gov.,meaning he enjoyed Fashola's era. I don't think anybody enjoys his administration,Lagos traffic became worse due to bad alternative roads and who suffers? The masses! And for your comments on Tinubu, its quiet unfortunate that you are seem like a Yoruba person. He wasn't the only one that fought the military then(NADECO),where are the rest? Where were these people calling him all sought of names, did they fight for the right in Nigeria? Yoruba people, you are blessed to have that son please value him. Research for the sacrifices he paid to fight the military, infact the whole Nigeria needs to appreciate this smart and intelligent business man!!! Africlegend: Tinubu May Have to Cry!
Asiwaju is a wonder to behold. Tinubu is incredible too. He's undisputably the main man in Nigerian politics today. He's the most powerful whenever the President is not contesting. He was a senator when Nigeria's eyes was closed. He was a Governor when the sun was just rising and, the father of Governors at dawn. Tinubu fought, alongside others, Abacha and won. As Governor, he survived Obasanjo's greenades. Goodluck Jonathan understands that his name is not something of a joke. He did not only enthrone Buhari, but made his former aides vice-president and ministers in his government. Would you then argue that Asiwaju is not something else?
But, Tinubu may cry soon. Either Ambode loses today's primary or not, Asiwaju has a whole lot to fear. When people call you master, don't rejoice, tell them you are only a servant. Unfortunately, with the humiliation of Ambode, Asiwaju is openly calling himself the master of Lagos politics. He's calling himself the driver of Lagos' wheel in the public glare. He's telling lagosians that they are but his balls. He's telling the discerning that he owns Lagos and everything that breathes within its walls and, of course, all that is true; but it is better not said. Tinubu is openly counting his slaves, and our foregoers said wisely, that when you count your slaves, they become so sad. There will always be a counter coup. The people of Lagos will demand freedom soon, they will revolt and, history will repeat itself. The Jagaban of Lagos is planning his own fall and, I'm afraid.
The people will soon ask questions. They will ask Tinubu what the sins of Ambode are and, by the time such questions are being asked, not many answers will drink water. Thesame Ambode that was once acclaimed the best Governor in Nigeria? The same Ambode that has transformed lagos? Would lagosians have to replace him simply because he had refused to be totally submissive to the master? Would they reject him because of his personal issues with the Jagaban? Will any lagosian accuse Ambode of under-performance? Not even when it is public knowledge that this young man has pleaded with Asiwaju, not even when the people of Lagos know that his wife has appeased the god of Lagos politics.
Tinubu has enemies within the APC, not many Abuja politicians are pleased with him, or so it looks. It will not be a cup of tea to fight Ambode (maybe then as the opposition's candidate ), the opposition, the people of Lagos and, his in-house enemies at the same time. Discretion is a better part of valor. This is only an agidigbo drum, only the wise dances to it and the knowledgeable understands its lyrics.

kenevision: Documents Submission And Collection
Well in case you don’t know yet, Austria, and indeed most Shenghen countries don’t conduct interviews for those applying for short term visas. You only need to submit the required documents to the VFS either at Abuja or Lagos and then go home and pray. When they take a decision on your application (normally 3 weeks), they will invite you to come for your passport, whether the decision is positive or negative.
In my case, I submitted my documents at VFS Abuja.
The following were the documents I submitted: - Invitation Letter (sent by the inviting organization) - Medical Insurance Letter ( sent by the organization) ,but you can use a Nigerian Insurance company if you want. - Bank Statement of Account (in my case, the organization agreed to take care of my living expenses in Austria, so they sent in their bank statement to back it up). If you are self sponsored, you will attach your statement of account, and make sure it’s fat. - Flight Reservation – you need to show your flight reservation showing the day you enter and leave the Schenghen area. Just meet a trusted flight booking agent, they will make a reservation for you for a small fee. You don’t need to pay the flight fare till you get your visa. - Schenghen Application Form – to be downloaded online from their website. Fill it carefully - Letter Of Identification from your workplace (if you are a worker) or from your school (if you are a student)
Infact the whole documents needed are well listed here http://www.vfsglobal.com/Austria/Nigeria/Short_Stay.html
I submitted mine and after three weeks, I got a mail from them saying I should come and pick up my passport. I traveled to Abuja, got to the VFS, collected my passport and gently lifted it up to the Great Ruler Of All Things. I prayed fervently “ In case they didn’t give me the visa, Lord this is the time to do it. As I open my passport, I want to see my visa smiling back at me”.
Gently I opened my passport, the first page was blank, next page blank. I checked next, it was blank. Next, next, next – blank, blank, blank. I too went blank . Thank GOD for one fan ID guy (I just hope he didn't stay back in Russia as he said ) who I had been gisting with. He took my passport and gently scanned the pages, looked up with a big smile and said “guy GOD don do am for you, never come back to this country again”. Beholding my visa brought a big smile to my face. My heart started beating again. Austria Here I come. Please how did your friend see their visa on your passport which u didn't see, do they hide their visa on passports? |
