Hello house,

I applied for Tourist Visa, during my application, i intend to travel September 12th 2025 to September 20th 2025. My flight reservations, Hotel and Tourist tour was booked base on these days.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get appointment. Now, my appointment is October 28th...Will I rebook the reservations, tour and hotel? or i should just go with the dates included during my visa application.

I don't think it's a good idea to share your IRCC login details with the wider public. You are putting your privacy at risk. I hope you don't use this same password for other platforms and banking transactions.

I would advise you to take this down. A better approach would be to try to reach out to a moniker directly if anyone would be willing to connect and help one-on-one. Anyone who has logged in would now have access to your full names via the email and password provided.

Your post suggests that you have experience in just one company, so it should be easy to fill this out on the portal. I suggest you change your password immediately.

Let’s take them one by one carefully answer your

1. How much to write in “Funds available for your stay” for a 7-day tourist visit

There’s no fixed amount, but IRCC expects that your funds are reasonable for your travel purpose and length of stay.
A good rule of thumb is:

Minimum CAD $150–$200 per day per person + plus airfare and hotel costs.

So for a 7-day visit, you can write something like: all in CAD

Accommodation 800
Meals & transportation 500
Sightseeing / miscellaneous 300
Return flight 900
Total recommended to show: 2,500–3,000 CAD

Write 2,500 CAD or 3,000 CAD in the “Funds available for your stay” field — that’s realistic for a short visit and looks reasonable to IRCC.

But let us be realistic here you are coming with a Nigerian passport so you better double the amount of money mentioned and have double the amount I mentioned in your POF and be earning a good amount of income

2. Education/Work history section — last 10 years

This part of the IRCC form can be tricky. Here’s how to fix your issue:

The section asks for activities in the past 10 years (work, study, unemployment, etc.).
If you finished school in 2010, that’s more than 10 years ago, so you don’t need to include it unless you’ve been studying again since then.
The form may give an error because of a missing “To” or “From” date or gap in your timeline.

Here is what to do:

1. Only list activities from 2015 to 2025 (last 10 years).
If you were working during that time, list your jobs.
If there were gaps, write “Unemployed” or “Self-employed” with dates — do not leave gaps.
2. If the form still gives an error when you try to move forward:
Double-check that all date fields are filled correctly (YYYY-MM format).
Make sure there are no overlapping or missing months.
Do not include entries older than 10 years (that sometimes causes validation errors).

The IMM 5885E checklist is clear: 3 months of transaction history + 6 months average balance.

Remember, you’re coming with a Nigerian passport — don’t give them more reason to deny you

₦10 million is enough for a 7-day visit to Canada, but visa approval depends on your overall ties not just the money in your account. You must show strong connections to Nigeria such as a stable job, family responsibilities, or property ownership, along with a clear reason to return after your trip.
IRCC usually requires a recent 6-month bank statement with consistent transactions (no sudden large deposits). Unfortunately, because of the rise in asylum claims, genuine travellers are now facing stricter scrutiny, and even solid applications can sometimes be refused.

Visa fee: $100 CAD + $85 CAD for biometrics (about ₦210k–₦225k total).

I heard you, yes, am not either consulate or VO but with my travel experiences for 35 GOOD years (No countries all over the world i have never travel to Say any country) which am still on it i have travel out 3 times this year, will STILL travel out 3 more times before the end of the year I know their rules, policies, what it takes to approve or refuse any applicants visas. You got just 1 visa you are telling me here that I should seat back.

So, if policies change, they will tell you or say it publicly?? Funny you, lower your pride, and learn here. I will not argue with you. Because you know nothing and I see you lack Travel experience.

That page was only telling you that you did not have any previous payment history with AVITS amentum and that if you think you have any previous payment you can verify.

Anyways, click on proceed to payment (as indicated in the attached) and the page will take you to the next section where you will choose your payment option. 👍
