A Technology company, MindHub Technologies is claiming D’banj is owing them the sum of $240,000 and another N15,000,000, which the artiste has not denied but issued them post-dated cheques which were bounced back. MindHub Technologies who now speaks with D’banj through their lawyers after all efforts made by them for him to pay proved abortive said D’banj has only deemed it fit since last year to pay only N8,600,000 out of the N15,000,000 and has not paid a single penny from the $240,000. "We act as Solicitors to MINDHUB TECHNOLOGIES LTD (hereinafter called “OUR CLIENT”), and on whose instruction we write you this letter in the manner stated hereunder. It is our brief that sometime in January 2013 in Lagos, you signed a Personal Guarantee/Memorandum of Undertaking with our client wherein you agreed/undertook to pay our client the investment fund of N100,000,000.00k (One Hundred Million Naira Only) given to D KINGS MEDIA LIMITED by our client, should the latter default in payment of the debt. The said debt is made up of Nigerian and United States of America’s currencies,” the letter addressed to him stated. The case is already in a Lagos high court and due for hearing, why it has been almost impossible for months now to serve D’banj, because he has been outside the country, while some however claim the major reason D’banj has been in the US is because he does not want to be served. Whatever that means we hope they settle this fast!

Usually the body language of a girl speaks louder than her words. It is sometimes hard for a girl to show her physical attraction. But if you are not paying enough attention to her body language, she might find someone else who does. So, here are 3 main signs that she likes you: 1. Grooving Girls develop their attraction through touches. Touching is a rather intimate process. So, if you see that a girl touches your arm, shoulder, leg or back, she is trying to make a connection. When she touches you it means she wants to become closer with you. Even if her touches are seemed to be accidental – she might be sending you a message. Try to give her a wink or just smile to her. In such a way you would tell her that you are waiting for her next move. 2. Leaning Women like to lean. When she likes you she would lean towards you to make the physical gap between you smaller. So when she feels that there is a connection between you both she wants to get closer. 3. Look at her head When a woman is speaking with someone she is attracted to, she usually flips her hair. Or she can throw her head back when she is laughing. Also you can notice that she is licking or biting her lips. She might even be playing with her straw or gla’s’s when she holds a drink. So when she shows some attention signs through her mouth, she is subconsciously revealing her desire. So you can be almost sure that she likes you! Of course, one single gesture doesn’t mean she is in love with you. But when you see two or more of these body language moves you can have more confidence that she likes you. So than you should be careful and be ready to make the right next move. |
A Saudi groom asked for a divorce from his wife on their wedding night after he saw her face for the first time. The couple, from the Saudi town of Medinah, had agreed to marry each other without meeting before hand at least once, as is custom for some families in Middle Eastern countries. However, as the couple posed for their official wedding photograph after the Muslim ceremony, the groom saw his wife’s face for the first time after she removed her veil. According to local media, the groom then immediately asked for a divorce as he was not happy with her appearance. “You are not the girl I want to marry. You are not the ONE I had imagined. I am sorry, but I divorce you,” he said, according to local newspaper Okaz. The bride was then said to have instantly burst into a fit of tears, as MEMBERS of both sides of the family attempted to comfort her. |
1. Cuddling triggers the same neurological reaction as taking pain killers 2. Falling in love has the same neurological effects as a cocaine high. 3. It takes less than four minutes to decide if you have feelings for someone. So guys, don’t mind those girls that play hard to get. 4. When looking at someone you love, your pupils dilate. 5. Expressing gratitude towards people you love causes an immediate spike in your happiness. 6. When you see someone you’re interested in, what feels like butterflies in your stomach is actually a stress response called adrenaline. 7. Men are more emotionally affected when relationships end. So don’t mind those guys that act like their hearts are made of stone, they actually cry themselves to sleep every night during break-ups. 8. Like s3x and hunger, the urge to fall in love is primitive and biological. Don’t Forget To Hit Like And Share! |

See Gobe! This Man mistakenly orders $3,750 wine thinking it was $37.50 if you are in his shoes what will you do? An occasional wine-drinker asked a waitress to recommend a decent wine for him and his guests at a meeting. She recommended one and said it cost "thirty seven fifty". Thinking she meant $37.50, Joe Lentini ordered the wine and was given a huge bill $4,700.61, including tax. It was bottle of the vintage wine, Screaming Eagle, Oakville 2011. ‘I asked the waitress if she could recommend something decent because I don't have experience with wine. She pointed to a bottle on the menu. I didn’t have my glasses. I asked how much and she said, “Thirty-seven fifty.” Joe said When the dinner was over and the waitress brought the bill, Joe, who hadn't paid much attention to the wine, sat up... "We were shocked. We couldn't believe it. The total bill was $4,700.61, including tax. The bottle of wine cost $3,750. I thought the wine was $37.50," Lentini said. Lentini said he called the waitress over and said there was a problem. He said he explained that he never would have ordered such expensive wine, and repeated that when he asked about the price, the waitress said "thirty-seven fifty," not "three-thousand, seven-hundred-and-fifty." The waitress disagreed, and a manager was called over. He offered to give separate bills, so the dinner bill, which wasn't being disputed, could be paid. Next, Lentini said he was told the best price the restaurant could offer was $2,200. Lentini said he couldn't afford that, but to be able to leave, he and two other diners agreed to split the $2,200 bill. |

MEET the World’s 'Poorest' President who Lives on a Farm & Whose Official car is a 1987 Beetle! He lives on a farm, and his official car is a 1987 Volkswagen Beetle. He donates 90% of his monthly salary to charity. President of Uruguay, Jose Mujica, is not your average president. It is commonplace to see some presidents of countries living lavish lifestyles, and in some extreme cases, looting their countries’ finances for personal gain. But not Mujica. He is commonly known as the world’s “poorest” president because of his austere lifestyle. Mujica rejected the luxurious presidential residence the government provided for him and instead opted to live on his wife’s farm located on a dirt road outside the country’s capital. They have no domestic workers – they do all the farm work by themselves. The only staff they have are two police officers. In 2010, his annual personal wealth declaration – mandatory for officials in Uruguay – was $1,800, the value of his Beetle. In an interview with BBC, he said: “I’ve lived like this most of my life, I can live well with what I have I’m called ‘the poorest president’, but I don’t feel poor. Poor people are those who only work to try to keep an expensive lifestyle, and always want more and more This is a matter of freedom. If you don’t have many possessions then you don’t need to work all your life like a slave to sustain them, and therefore you have more time for yourself…” Mujica also has unique views about poverty alleviation. In the 2012 Rio+20 summit he stated: But what are we thinking? Do we want the model of development and consumption of the rich countries? I ask you now: what would happen to this planet if Indians would have the same proportion of cars per household than Germans? How much oxygen would we have left? “Does this planet have enough resources so seven or eight billion can have the same level of consumption and waste that today is seen in rich societies? It is this level of hyper-consumption that is harming our planet. An Arab sheikh recently offered him $1 million for his Beetle. Mujica is currently considering the offer, and says that if he does sell it, he will donate the money to charity.

President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has blamed his successors for the rot in the power sector. He said the country needed to generate 2,000 megawatts every year for the citizens to enjoy stable electricity. Obasanjo, after his second coming as a civilian president, handed over to the late former President Umaru Yar’Adua in 2007 while President Goodluck Jonathan assumed office in May, 2010. He said subsequent administrations after his reign as military ruler between 1976 and 1979 did nothing on power generation until he returned in 1999. According to him, leaders in the country lack the political will to confront national challenges. He said, “Part of our problems is lack of political will on the part of the leaders. What does a leader understands about development? Any leader worth his salt should know that power is very important. It is the driver of all developments, be it social, economic, and even political. “When I was military head of state, I developed the Jebba Dam, I developed Shiroro, I started Egbin. Shehu Shagari came and completed Egbin and commissioned Jebba and Shiroro. “Between Shagari in 1983, until I came back in 1999, there was no single dime invested in power generation. If anything, the ones that were there were allowed to go down.” The ex-President, spoke at a programme tagged ‘First Green Legacy Moment with Olusegun Obasanjo on Leadership and Human Security in Africa’, which held in Abeokuta. Obasanjo said, “A country like Nigeria must be adding not less than 2,000 megawatts every year if we are to be moving on the path of development. “If you will remember, when I came back in 1999, my first Minister of Power was late Bola Ige. I won’t say Bola didn’t know what he was doing and he said publicly that he would fix the power problems in six months. “After one year, Bola with his capacity couldn’t fathom what was wrong with power. It was riddled with corruption. Then we had no money. People have forgotten that in 1999/2000, the price of crude oil was US $9 per barrel. So, I wanted the oil companies, Mobil, Total and they wouldn’t go. “When we started having money, we started the National Integrated Power Plant. When we said the money we had should be invested in power, my successor didn’t understand; he stopped it. If for almost 20 years we did not achieve anything in power generation, then we may not be able to get it again.” Obasanjo, who cited South Africa as an example, said with its population of 55 million people, SA generated 45,000 megawatts, while Nigeria with about 180 million people could not generate 4, 000 megawatts. He said, “For us to say that we are industrialising country, we must be generating much more than what South Africa is generating, say 100,000 megawatts. “What year will Nigeria get there if we are adding 2,000 megawatts each year? For us to get to 100,000 mega watts, I leave the mathematics to you. It sounds very discouraging but that is the reality.” Source: punchng |

Minister of Transport, Senator Idris Umar, has said the Federal Government has created over one million direct and indirect new jobs in four years through the resuscitation of rail transportation by the President Goodluck Jonathan-led administration. The minister said this while speaking at the ‘Public Affairs Forum,’ a programme organised by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs in Abuja. Umar described the ongoing construction of new rail lines and rehabilitation of existing ones as a key component of the ‘Transformation Agenda’ of the Jonathan administration, which goal was to reposition the nation’s economy. He said, “The fundamental goal of the transport sector under the Transformation Agenda is to develop an adequate, safe, environmentally sound, efficient and affordable integrated transport system within the framework of a progressive and competitive national and international market economy.” Umar further said the rehabilitation of over 90 per cent of the entire existing narrow gauge lines throughout the country was almost completed, noting that the rehabilitation was the first segment of the 25 years railway strategic plan. He added that the rehabilitation of 1,124km Western rail line (Lagos-Kano) had been completed, while work on the 1,657 km Eastern rail line (Port Harcourt — Maiduguri) was at an advanced stage of completion. He added that the branch line from Kafanchan – Kaduna was expected to be completed before the end of 2014. According to the Transport Minister, the Jonathan administration is constructing the first rail line from the Federal Capital Territory to Kaduna, which is a standard gauge rail line, while contract for the Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge double track has also been awarded. “The Jonathan administration has signed a framework with a reputable Chinese firm for the construction of coastal railway line that will connect 10 states and add great value to Nigerian economy. This project alone will create an approximate 4 million jobs in another five years. “We have also made giant strides in sea transportation by partnering with the Lagos State Government and the private sector to develop the Lekki deep seaport, while the process for the development of lbom deep sea port in Akwa lbom State and Badagry in Lagos are in progress.” Umar said futher that the contract for the dredging of critical parts of River Benue had been awarded and would be completed in 36 months, explaining that the government had completed the dredging of the lower River Niger from Warri (Delta State) to facilitate all year navigability.” Copyright PUNCH. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, on Wednesday, had his first day in class as a Masters/Ph.d student of the National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN. The former president is studying for a Masters and Doctorate degree in Christian Theology. The class which took place in Ota, Ogun State, was held with his internal supervisor, Philip Tachin, a lecturer in Systematic Theology and a pastor. Mr. Obasanjo said he was optimistic that additional knowledge in Theology will help him understand how to use religion in the alleviation of problems that affect people at the grass roots generally but particularly in Africa. After receiving an outline for the course, he was given his first assignment to review a number of literatures on the subject and to present a research paper for review. Mr. Obasanjo obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in 2009. The Masters degree will precede the Doctorate degree. Last month, Mr. Obasanjo revealed that he was returning to school to achieve his aspirations in life. “I’m going back to school because I have to have something to aspire to in every endeavour of life,” Mr. Obasanjo had said. “I always aspire to something new in my farm. I do that in my international activities. I do it in my writing. I do it in the improvement of my academic work which helps to sharpen my brain and strengthen my faith.” The National Open University was initially established in 1983 but was suspended by the then military government in 1984. Mr. Obasanjo resuscitated it in 2001. In November 2006, a few months to the end of his eight-year tenure, the then president enrolled for a post graduate diploma in Christian Theology at the university. He graduated in January 2009. Born on March 5, 1937, Mr. Obasanjo attended Abeokuta Baptist High School; Mons Officers’ Cadet School, Aldershot, England; Royal College of Military Engineering, Chatham, England and School of Survey, Newbury, England. He also attended the British Royal Engineers’ Young Officers School, Shrivenham, England; Indian Defence Staff College; Indian Army School of Engineering and Royal College of Defence Studies, London. He enlisted into the Nigerian Army in 1958. He was Nigeria’s Head of State between 1976 and 1979 when he voluntarily handed over to a civilian administration led by Shehu Shagari. In 1999, he was elected president. His tenure expired in 2007.
