@Outstandingsand I went to the embassy with my birth certificate not NPC stuff o. I was born in the late 1970's so it is the short birth certificate issued by the local government that I submitted at the embassy.

To God alone be all the Glory he alone deserves all the praise. I couldn't have gotten a better birthday present from him. I had a smooth and successful interview at the embassy yesterday. Got to the embassy at 5:45am and at about past 6 a staff of the embassy came to announce to us how the interview session will be condUcted. We were asked to form two lines one line for immigrants and the other for non immigrants. After dat we went through the security checks and finally got a number tag that I used for documentation and the interview. My tag nos was B407. At about past 8. I was called to submitted my documents and by 9:50am my nos beeped I was interviewed at window 14 by a beautiful white woman. I did fingerprint and I sworn to say the truth. My interview questions. CO: Gudmorning Me: Gudmorning Co:pls can I take your finger prints Me: Sure. Later took my oath and interview proper. CO: what year did u finish secondary school Me: 1993 CO: why are you using two WAEC? Me:I did make my English at first sitting so I did GCE to make up for it. Co:what is your highest level of education? Me: First Degree CO: what course? Me: History & Diplomatic Studies. Co: are you married Me: No CO: do you have children Me: No. She now said congratulations I will approve your visa. Welcome to America. She told me where to pick my passport and how to pay for the UCIS fee. I wish everyone going for their interview next week all the very best.

Had a successful interview today at the embassy All Glory to God. My Experience Later I have to attend my aunt's burial.

Done and over with my medicals and police reports and other docuements ready waiting anxiously for my interview on November 8. God this must be my birthday present. Wishing myself and others going for their interviews in November and December all the best of luck.

Dear VO, please can you clarify on the issue of birth certificates. For those Of us born in the 70's we have the short birth certificate that was issued to our parents in the various LGA's our birth was registered. For some others it is the NPC birth certificates and for some others it is the attestion letter. Which is accepted at the embassy for the purpose of interview? thank you.

Dear VO, I have to two results My WAEC and GCE and I don't know which to take along for my interview.My WAEC I have 3passes, 3 distinctions,and 3Credits. Had Pass in Maths and English. But My GCE I have 1 Pass, 3Distinctions, 3Credits. Had Credit in English but Pass in Maths. Thank You.

@Rianatb relax your mind you will get your second notification letter soon since you have a low-case number I guess KCC sents notification letter based on the time you submitted your DS230 and DS122.

Goodevening VO, I want to ask a question on behalf of my friend who also won the DV lottery. In her form that she filled on history of employment. She did her NYSC in Jigawa state in 2005 after the orientation she was posted to a school for her primary assignment but she started work in April 2005 and ended in February 2006. The question now is that her NYSC Certificate reads March 2005 to March 2006 and she already wrote April 2005 to February 2006 because that was the actual duration she started and ended her service year. She wants to find out if this is not a threat to refusal of her visa and if it is what do you advise she does because her interview is in November.

I am a lucky dv winner and I want to make an enquiry. Before going for my interview in November. On my international passport and birth certificate after my surname my second name comes before my first name but in all my academic certificates my first name comes before my second hope this won't pose a problem for me on the interview day. On my international passport and birth certificate my names read. Odejobi iretunde adura, while my names on my academic certificates reads Odejobi adura iretunde. Thanks.

pls house a friend of mine is one of the winners of the 2014 lottery and she just discovered that she made a mistake while filling the year of graduation instead of 2003 she wrote 2004 and she has sent her DS forms. What do you advice her to do.
