Nigerians are still not convinced that President Buhari is healthy and fit to continue as president.

After The APC Governors met with the president to have lunch in london, millions of Nigerians are asking them to produce a video of their meeting as a proof that president Buhari is healthy.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iu2CiSCweko

President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday, July 23, met with some All Progressives Congress, (APC) governors and leaders in London - The delegation included the APC party chairman, John Oyegun; governors of Imo, Kaduna, Kogi, Nasarawa and Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi - President Buhari described the negative reports about him as lies.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday, July 23, received a delegation of All Progressive Congress (APC) governors at the Abuja House, in London. NAIJ.com gathered that the Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha said the president was very cheerful and has not lost any bit of his sense of humour. In a telephone conversation with Femi Adesina, the president's media adviser, following the meeting of the APC governors and leaders with President Buhari, he said the president was delighted to receive the delegation and asked each governor about affairs in his state.
Governor Okorocha said the party delegation spent more than an hour with President Buhari over lunch, and it was very clear from the discussions that he followed developments at home very closely.

When asked to react to all the negative things being said about him, the president just laughed, describing such negative reports as lies. Governor Okorocha said President Buhari was completely unperturbed by the cocktail of lies, adding that he sent his best wishes to Nigerians. According to Okorocha Nigerians don’t have to worry at all, adding that President Buhari will be back as soon as the doctors give him the green light. “By our visit to London today, the merchants of lies have been put out of business and Nigerians will not buy the garbage they have been selling. All those who look up to fake news can find better use for their time,” Governor Okorocha noted.

Governors Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa; Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna; Yahaya Bello of Kogi; and APC National Chairman, Chief John Oyegun, were also in the delegation. President Buhari left Nigeria for London on Sunday, May 7, 2017, to attend to health challenges, having earlier made a similar trip to London and upon arrival in Nigeria, stated that he was going to return to London at a later date.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had previously reported that an online newspaper, Sahara Reporters, reported that the cabal in the presidency has concluded plans to bring back President Muhammadu Buhari to Nigeria on July 27.
Politics / Plot To Become President: Atiku Abubakar Calls For Restructuring Nigeria [video] by ontiah: 1:17pm On Jul 23, 2017
Is this not a very brave political plot by the former Nigerian vice president Atiku Abubakar to gain more support from most southern, eastern and western Nigerians as he prepares to enter 2019 presidential race in style?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18XP2iLZnGw

Atiku says he favours a restructured and a united Nigeria - The former vice president however says restructuring would not immediately resolve all of Nigeria’s challenges Former Nigeria’s Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has again said he favours the call for restructuring of the country. According to him, he wants a Nigeria that every man, woman, and child has a chance to build and share in this great nation’s potential.

Atiku’s position was contained in a transcript of his speech at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka on the occasion of the Senior Staff Club Lecture Series on Restructuring Nigeria/Award of Excellence in Good Governance on Wednesday July 19.
“Let me begin with a rhetorical question: why do I, Atiku Abubakar, favour a restructured Nigeria?
“The answer is simple: because I am proudly Nigerian and favour a united Nigeria that offers every man, woman and child a brighter future where each and everyone has a chance to build and share in this great nation’s potential. “The Restructuring I want to see happen is changing the structure of our country to take power from the elite and give it back to whom it belongs: the people. It will help to bring the benefits of the change that our people were promised in the last general elections. “For a number of years now we have been making the case for the restructuring of our federal system.
Politics / The Fear Of Pdp: A Nightmare For Apc ,osinbajo & Buhari - Naijatube [video] by ontiah: 11:38am On Jul 23, 2017
As the supreme court recently brought back sanity and great unity to Peoples Democratic Party, Nigerians most vibrant opposition party has began its task to put fire on the ass of the APC administration to ensure power returns to PDP come 2019.

These sudden resurrection of the PDP has sent serious nightmares to the leaders of the ruling APC as recently, the Acting president had to summon all APC Governors for a closed door emergency meeting.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwUwLyQME-o

Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha however has dismissed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as no threat to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Okorocha, who is also the Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum (APC Governors), spoke after he led his colleagues to a meeting with Acting President Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa.

The meeting which held at the conference room of the vice-presidential wing commenced after that of the National Economic Council (NEC).

Okorocha also revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari’s medical vacation is not stopping the ruling party from holding its convention saying the party was still trying to put its house in order before the convention can take place.

“PDP is a non-issue; we don’t even care about that. We defeated them when they were in power, so what is different when we are now in power?” he declared.

“We came to discuss issues relating to our party and our government and how to move our party forward.

“We discussed a lot of issues on how to move the party forward, how to strengthen the party and how to make sure our party remains victorious in all elections.

“Very soon we will have a convention. That is part of the things we are discussing.

“The convention not taking place has nothing to do with the absence of the President or the Acting President. We are just putting our house in order and making sure things are in the right form before we kick-off.

NaijaTube recalls that Abdulaziz Yari, Governor of Zamfara, on Wednesday, had said the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari was responsible for the delay of the party’s convention as Buhari is currently on medical vacation in the UK.

Politics / Akwa Ibom Threatens Exxonmobil To Relocate Their Headquarters Or Evacuate[video] by ontiah: 10:35pm On Jul 14, 2017
Akwa Ibom youths have issued out several threats to Exxon mobil to relocate their headquarters or stop oil operations in their state.

The demands for International Oil Companies, IOCs, in Nigeria to relocate their head offices from Lagos to the Niger Delta region resurfaced recently during the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s tour of the troubled region.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQ_-UXH7z6w

During his visit to Akwa Ibom, Mr. Osinbajo directed the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, “to engage” with the IOCs “on the way forward” over the calls for their relocation.

The directive was seen as a major boost to campaigns by Niger Delta States to have oil companies relocate to their states of operation.

However, Akwa Ibom youths have used this opportunity to threaten the management of Exxon mobil operating in their state that if they do not respect the federal government directives, the peace they enjoy will no longer be guaranteed.

With tensions rising from the relocation issue, the governor of Akwa Ibom state Mr Udom Emmanuel has warned youths in oil producing communities in the state against confrontation and disruption of operations of ExxonMobil Nigeria, while agitating for the relocation of the company’s headquarters to the state.

Emmanuel, who gave the warning during the coronation of the Paramount Ruler of Ibeno and Chairman, Akwa Ibom State Council of Chiefs, HRM Owong Effiong Archianga, advised the youths not to give the oil firm reasons not to relocate its headquarters to its operational base. He said that since he was leading the campaign for the relocation, he would want the youths not to do anything that would jeopardise the process and efforts already in top gear.

Other prominent indegine of the state also reacted to the Exxonmobil relocation process.“Today, all those impediments ranging from lack of airport, road network, housing, and accommodation have been conquered. They don’t have any excuse not to move their headquarters to Akwa Ibom,” Nduese Essien, a former minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, had said of Mobil during the town hall meeting in Uyo with Mr. Osinbajo.

The Commissioner for Information in the state, Charles Udoh, told PREMIUM TIMES that the state government was waiting for the Ministry of Petroleum Resources to inform it of the next action after Mr. Osinbajo’s directive.

“It’s a directive that was given by the acting president of Nigeria, and so every company who does business in Nigeria is subjected to the laws, regulations and directives of the government of the day,” Mr. Udoh said.

“If the federal government is hell-bent on making it work in line with our demand, then I strongly believe that the federal government will sit down with them (IOCs) and make it work. I strongly believe there will be a compromise somewhere that will make all parties happy at the end of the day,” he said.

Politics / Osinbajo Visits Buhari In London - Nigerians Expects Videos & Pictures [video] by ontiah: 11:00am On Jul 12, 2017
On Tuesday, Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, visited President Muhammadu Buhari for the first time since he left for the UK on May 7 on medical vacation.

Osinbajo’s visit enabled him brief Buhari on how he has been steering the ship in his absence and also have first-hand knowledge about the President’s health.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C68KLunnWOM

The Nation reports that the trip was a closely guarded secret and carried out through “covert diplomatic and intelligence methods.”

Most of Osinbajo’s key aides and cabinet members were oblivious of the trip.

The Acting President reportedly dashed for the airport after making brief remarks at a Presidential Quarterly Business Forum at the old Banquet Hall of the State House in Abuja.

“The trip had been planned in the past three weeks but was only known to few people for strategic reasons. The ‘Jackals and Hyenas’ were beaten to it.

“The Acting President went to London to wish his boss well, get undiluted information on his health, brief the President on certain decisions he had taken and seek his approval for some appointments and outstanding reforms in government.
“Some members of the cabinet have not been committed to Osinbajo’s acting presidency too.

“Other parts of Osinbajo’s visit were the need to clear misgivings about some of the steps he has taken, especially the need to clarify that he is not executing any anti-North agenda and the alleged accusation of abandoning the President’s agenda.

“Some of those who has access to the President had painted a wrong picture of the situation at home in order to create a wedge between him and Prof. Osinbajo.

“The trip was laced with some diplomatic and intelligence coordination. Most cabinet members and key aides were caught unawares,” a source revealed.”

He added: “So far, the trip is fruitful and the Acting President will be able to do certain things, including the inauguration of the two ministers.

“I think we should expect some radical changes after this trip. The two leaders discussed extensively on some directions.”

Politics / Buhari's Health: Rochas Okorocha Attacks Fayose On Channels Tv [video] by ontiah: 8:49am On Jul 01, 2017
Imo State Governor and Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors Forum Rochas Okorocha yesterday led attacks on Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose over his comments on President Muhammadu Buhari’s health.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdtNmjElKWY

Others, who flayed Fayose, include Buhari Media Support Group (BSG) and activist lawyer Morakinyo Ogele.

Fayose, at a news conference on Wednesday, claimed that Buhari had been on life support in a hospital in the United Kingdom.

He called for the President’sresignation over his health issues.

But, speaking on Fayose’s call, Okorocha said: “As you are aware, we are passing through a very difficult time in our nation and we have a lot of challenges – political, economical, social, cultural and what have you. I want to advise that this is what many great nations of the world have passed through before getting to their point of greatness and Nigeria will not be an exemption.

“We must see this time as a trying period for Nigeria and by the grace of God, we shall overcome. So, this is the time to preach love, this is the time to love one another, this is the time to embrace one another, this is the time to preach peace, especially in more of the things that unite us as a people and talk not at all the things that will divide us.

“And this called to question the recent statement created to Governor Fayose over the health of Mr. President. I want to advise that Fayose’s statement should not be regarded. It’s baseless and there is no substance for that information. What he said is not right, it is uncalled for and that is simply hitting up the polity.

“In our culture and tradition, we do not pray politics with people’s lives and anybody can be sick, anybody can be in the hospital. So, making such categorical statement which is unfounded that Mr. President is on life support, is to the best of my knowledge, a statement of hate.

“That is a cheap talk and Nigerians should not regard it. What we should do right now is to pray for Mr. President, wish him well, anybody can be sick. Even as he is sick out there, many people have been sick in Nigeria. So, we should not politicise this and play politics with people’s lives and try to create hate and confusion in the system.

“I think that has become Fasoye’s style of talk and Nigerians must never take those kind of talk serious because is capable of creating confusion in the system.

From Benin City to the Shores of Italy: A New Hub of Human Trafficking.
Nigerian Women Trafficked Into Italy

Since January 2015, international media has covered intensely the plight of migrants crossing the Mediterranean, as well as those left adrift by human smugglers in crowded boats near South Asia. What has received less of a spotlight lately is the plight of those who fall victim to human trafficking. The distinction between human smuggling and human trafficking is that people engage voluntarily in smuggling while they fall into trafficking involuntarily. A phenomenon that has grown in the past 30 years in particular, is the trafficking of tens of thousands of Africans, who are hoping for a better life, into Europe.

One stark example of this is the trafficking of women from Nigeria to Italy who are forced to work in the sex trade. Human rights groups are deeply concerned that 80% of women trafficked to Italy come from Benin City in Edo State in Southern Nigeria. This city has now become the main hub for sex trafficking between West Africa and Europe. This begs the question, why Benin City and what are the consequences?

There is even a documented structure to this industry. In Italy today there are more than 10,000 madams. Each madam is in charge of two to three trafficked girls, who are referred to as “babies”. These madams force the girls in to prostitution and ask for money to repay their debt. The Madams work with the men who physically trafficked the girls who are known as “brothers”. This means that the lives of the women and girls who are trafficked are kept under control by the different components of this structure, and makes it difficult for the girls to get out and for the police to penetrate it.
