Religion / Spiritual Awakening Unto Godly Living by Onyekachi85(m): 10:47pm On Jul 03, 2020
Spiritual awakening unto Godly living is the need of the hour. It is a call to higher consciousness and deeper mental awareness. Which brings about personal transformation and a change in one’s view towards life.

Spiritual awakening is a time we need to wake up from our spiritual slumber and deep sleep of our soul, beyond the confinement of our ego and pride and move to the light of God.

For, the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, ”Awake” O sleeper, arise and Christ will give you light Ephesians 5:14.

Before God speaks about Spiritual awakening. He has seen the spiritual asleep and unconsciousness of men. Spiritual awakening is a time to show the clear difference between a genuine child of God and an unbeliever.

We have come to know that a person can be a church leader, occupy a notable position without knowing God. Such a person can claim to be a man of God but a hypocrite.

Any church with a leadership that has missed the way is a church that is asleep and needs to awake. Many of the so-called Christians and church leaders today have been lulled into deep spiritual sleep and needed to awake.

They can teach the bible very well, speak in tongues, prophesy, see visions, speak good and eloquent grammar. But their personal life doesn’t show evidence of one in good relationship with the Holy Spirit.

While some are no longer interested in studying their Bible, giving time to prayer, attending prayer meetings, or going out for evangelism. This is the spiritual realities of the times we are living in.

Many have lost their spiritual weight. They are now living in their past glory but pretending to be what they used to be. When Spiritual awakening takes place, it takes over your entire being, your body, heart, mind, and soul.

WHEN YOU ARE SPIRITUALLY UNCONCIOUS

You become asleep once you are dead in transgressions and sins. And you automatically become accustomed to immorality without any remorse, regret, or shame.

1: That leads you into believing you are the only better person

2: That you are “Good” and others are “Evil”

3: You will see yourself as a “Spiritual Person” while others are “Carnal”

4: You condemn everything done by another person

Whenever someone is asleep, he is no longer aware of what is happening around him. When you are in the condition of permanent sleep, your condition is as good as dead.

Such a person becomes spiritually sick and disconnected from the things of God. People who are lost in spiritual sleep are no longer interested in facing the realities of their situation.

The church, the body of Christ needs to awake because the church has been sick and even from the head. Some of our church leaders at the head of churches are sick spiritually.

We must awake both as an individual and as a church unto righteousness and holiness. Unfortunately, so many people find it difficult to awake. They see it as an old fashion message.

They don’t want to wake up because they are enjoying the sleep. There are people who enjoy the spiritual sleep and stupor into which they have entered. They have completely lost focus on spiritual things.

Some People have become accustomed to dwelling in spiritual sleep and they don’t want anybody to wake them. If you try to wake them up they will become annoyed with you and even see you as their enemy.

Asking someone to “awake”, means that the person has a very poor spiritual perception of things happening around him.
This is the finest hour of the church as spoken by Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah Chapter 2. But how can people run to Zion for different kinds of solutions to the world’s problems when the church is asleep.

The great question to every individual is.
What is the state of your spiritual life?
Are you still sleeping?
Are you among those saying that nothing will happen?
It is the right time you wake up, for you have slept enough, and time is no longer on your side. When a man is sick and refused to accept that he is sick, there is no hope of healing.

Religion / 10 Daily Meditation And Confession Of God’s Promises by Onyekachi85(m): 10:36pm On Jul 03, 2020
There are thousands of promises written in the Scripture for our daily meditation and confession. And every one of these promises is inspired by the Holy Spirit 2 Timothy 3:16.

God created mankind in His image and likeness and gave them dominion over every other creature according to Genesis 1:26-28. He gave man the ability to exercise dominion over every challenging situation and circumstance.

Knowing fully well that we live in a world that is filled with evil, darkness, violence, disagreement, distractions, uncertainty, terrorism, and emotional instability.

These negative and challenging situations and circumstance man face on daily living, have put mankind in a state of grief, anxiety, and negative proclamations.

Since we are made in God’s image, God expected us to always confess the solution to the problem. Rather than confessing the problems itself, thereby transforming darkness into light.

Romans 10:10, declared that it is only with the heart, that man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

Meaning that salvation involves inward belief with the heart, as well as an outward confession with the mouth. Believing and confessing the word of God is an important part of our Christian existence.

What becomes manifest in our lives daily depends on our faith, meditation, and confession. When we oppose the word of God with our hearts and lips, we prevent His work in and through us.

But when our hearts and lips are in line with the word of God. He manifests His grace in us and causes His power to flow through us. For, a heart full of faith will always overflow in the meditation and confession of God’s promises.

The spirit of faith is always manifested by our believing and speaking of the word of God 2 Corinthians 4:13. If we can develop the daily habit of scriptural meditation and confession.

Then, His word will move from our head to the heart. And through our mouth, we can exercise dominion over every challenging situation and circumstance Matthew 7:28-29.

God’s Word is alive, active, and very powerful, it exposes our innermost thoughts and desires Hebrews 4:12. And through that means the Holy Spirit brings eternal life into our world John 6:63.

This lesson will help you promote a comprehensive awareness of your spiritual blessings. And the limitless power of God as well as enable you to grow stronger in your faith, through meditation and confession of His word.

As you establish the truth of God’s word over you and your household through your daily meditation and confession! Your Change is already here!

10 Daily Meditation And Confession Of God’s Promises Over Your Life:

1. I have been crucified with Christ

Yes, it is no longer I that live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for my ransom Galatians 2:20.

Yes, I have been crucified with Christ and buried with Him. God has raised me up with Jesus and placed me in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus far above principalities and powers.

Therefore, all satanic authorities and forces are subjected and placed under my feet. Yes, they are defeated. Ephesians 2:6, Colossians 2:12, Romans 16:20.

2. I am Delivered
For, I have been delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of His dear Son Jesus Colossians 1:13. I am a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar person 1 Peter 2:9.

I am the light of the world, a child of the light. Just like a city seated on the hilltop that cannot be hidden. Hence, making it impossible for darkness to comprehend the light. Matthew 5:14; Ephesians 5:8; John 1:5.

And I will not be afraid of anyone, for, the Lord is the stronghold of my life of whom shall I be afraid?. He is my light and my salvation, my protector in the time of danger, so why should I tremble? Psalms 27:1.

3. My citizenship is in heaven
I am in the world, I am not of the world, my citizenship is in heaven and not on this wicked world John 17:16, Philippians 3:20.

I am an ambassador of Christ with heavenly security and immunity 2 Corinthians 5:20. Placed and Seated in the heavenly places with Christ Jesus.

Hence, I did not depend on the earthly economy, because my economy is from heaven above. For my God will supply all my needs, with all His abundant wealth through Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19.

I, therefore, disassociate myself from the economy of this world because I am not of the world.

4. My life is hidden in Christ Jesus

My life is now hidden with Christ in God, I am no longer under Satan’s control. When Christ who is in my life shall appear I will equally appear with Him in glory Colossians 3:4.

Jesus Christ in me is the hope of my glory Colossians 1:27. Jesus Christ in me is the hope of my joy, power, peace, good health, victory, abundant grace, and life.

He is my Saviour and my redeemer, my life, and my hope, the author and finisher of my faith. I believe in you, you died to set me free, and now I am free.

Therefore, I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from death just for my sake to save me.

5. I am no more under condemnation
Romans 8:1. Made it clear that there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. I am no more under the law, for through Christ Jesus, the law of the spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.

Therefore, I am free from Satans and man’s curses, ancestral, and projected curses against me. Thereby setting the favor of God before me, to flourish wherever the sole of my feet shall touch.

Because of the love, God Has for mankind, He sent His only begotten son to come and die John 3:16. Giving everyone who will believe in him the gift of eternal life.

Because He who has the Son has life, he who does not have the Son has no life in him.

Religion / The Person Of The Holy Spirit: 7 Things You Must Know by Onyekachi85(m): 10:38pm On Feb 06, 2020
Here we are going to establish a basic understanding of who the “HOLY SPIRIT” is and what He does. First, we need to remark that the Holy Spirit is not just a power or an influence, He is a unique personality of the Trinity.

Holy Spirit is also known by different names, which includes the “Spirit of God”, the “Spirit of truth”. Jesus referred to Him in John 14:16-17, 15:26, as “another Comforter”, and the “Helper”.

The Holy Spirit, the Helper, and the Comforter equip every believer and the church at large with various gifts from God the father. For it is impossible to live a truly Christian life without the Holy Spirit.

THE PERSON OF THE HOLY SPIRIT:

1. Holy Spirit Is Called God By Name

The main reason we believe the Holy Spirit to be God is that the Scripture clearly declares it. In Isaiah 61:1, Prophet Isaiah says that the Spirit of the Lord God was upon him.

Genesis 1:2 also confirmed it, when it said that the earth was without form and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep. And that the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

And Peter said to Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? Know you have not lied to men but to God (Acts 5:3-4).

Apostle Peter made it clear to Ananias that he did not lie to man, but to God. Because the person He lied to is the Holy Spirit. The conclusion is evident that the Holy Spirit is God.

2. He Is Equal To The Father And The Son

Holy Spirit is treated on an equal basis with God the Father and God the Son. He has the characteristics of God and He also does the work of God the Father and the son.

Holy Spirit is not only called God; He is also associated on an equal basis with the two other members of the Godhead, the Father and the Son.

Jesus said in Matthew 28:19: Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 13:14, may the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Holy Spirit is connected by association to the other members of the Godhead. This provides further testimony that they are of the same nature, for neither man nor angel is ever associated on the same level as God.

Because God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one. All the divine qualities and attributes ascribed to the Father and the Son are equally ascribed to the Holy Spirit.

Immediately one becomes born again by believing and receiving Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour. God steps in and resides in that person through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Holy Spirit has intellect, emotion, and will to be in every believer. The primary role of the Holy Spirit in a man’s life is to bear witness of Jesus Christ. And to empower Christians to perform ministerial duties.

Holy Spirit also acts as a Christian teacher, who reveals God’s will and truth to every Christian. He tells people’s hearts and consciences about the truth of Jesus Christ.

Jesus told His disciples that when the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name comes. He will teach you all things, and also bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

The Holy Spirit was given to believers in order to produce God’s character in their lives. In a way that they cannot do things on their own but with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Holy Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, etc into our lives and soul. God asks us to walk in the Spirit in other to produce these qualities in our lives.

Some Of The Biblical Attributes Of The Holy Spirit:

1. He Is The Third Person Of Trinity

Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Trinity, He is a different person from God the Father and God the Son. There is only one true and eternal God, the Creator and saviour of the whole universe.

Within the nature of this one and true God are three eternal persons that work in three diverse ways. God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, these three persons are the one, God.

This is based on what the Scripture says concerning the nature of God. Joel 2:28 It will come to pass after this when I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind.

2. He Is The Agent Of Creation

Holy Spirit is an agent not only of creation but also of God’s new creation. He is the author of the new birth in Christ Jesus. This can be confirmed in John 3, in an encounter between Jesus and Nicodemus.

In verse 5 Jesus said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, except one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. This truth, however, worked out in the rest of the Scriptures.

3. Holy Spirit Is All-Knowing

1 Corinthians 2:10-11, said that God revealed things to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, not in other to know them, for He knows all things.

For what man knows and understands are the things that pass through his thought. So no man can of a man except for the spirit of man which is in him?

Even so, no one knows or can understand the things of God without the help of the Spirit of God. He alone was given the power and authority to reveal the spiritual things of God to man.

4. He Performs The Work Of God

The Holy Spirit does certain works that only God can do. For example, Genesis 1:2, 1:26 recorded that the Holy Spirit was involved in the creation of the universe.

Job 33:4 said that the Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life. Making it clear that the Holy Spirit was also involved in the creation of life.

Religion / Show Us Your Mercy: A Cry For Compassion by Onyekachi85(m): 10:23pm On Feb 06, 2020
Show us your mercy, O LORD, and grant unto us your salvation (Psalm 85:7). Mercy is an attitude of compassion, love, and care towards the underprivileged, destitute, afflicted and helpless.

It is unmerited favor, grounded in God’s very nature that begins from the divine attributes of God. Mercy is a unique and personal privilege of the Almighty God Himself to mankind.

This mercy is highly needed by every living thing on the face of the earth. Mostly needed when one goes contrary to the word of God. In other to avoid His wrath you need His mercy.

When the challenges, and hurdles of this life become so heavy on you that you don’t know what to do. When you face the harsh, severe, and rigorous state of life, you really need the mercy of God to survive.

Isaiah 43:27-28, 2 Chronicles 36:15-21. Reveals God’s anger towards His people due to their disobedience. God always uses Babylon as His agent of judgement against Israel for their sins of idolatry and rebellion against Him.

The people of Isreal allowed sin to overtake them which made God allow the king of Babylon defeat and take them into captivity, and their city Jerusalem was also destroyed.

After many years of suffering and crying unto God for mercy. The Lord came down and fulfilled His good promises to them. After Cyrus, the king of Persia fought and defeated Babylon.

As prophesied in the Scriptures, Jeremiah 25:1-11, 29:1-10, Daniel 9:1-2. King Cyrus sent the Jews back to Jerusalem and begin rebuilding the city and temple, Ezra 1:1-10.

The return under the direction of Ezra led to a revival among the Jewish people and the rebuilding of the temple. They called to remembrance past experiences of God’s goodness and mercy.

How God preserved and rescued them out of the hands of their enemies and restored them to their liberty. If He had not continued to be favorable to them, they would have been ruined.

The bringing back of their captivity, which was accompanied by the pardon of their iniquity through the mercy of God, was an example of God’s favor to them.

Sometimes life can be so bitter, harsh and painful. Life can turn from what you wanted it to be to another thing. Life sometimes can cause you tears and you feel like hanging yourself.

Is that your own situation now?. Are you on the bitter side of life now? Have the situations of this life reduced you to trash or relegated you to the side of the road that you watch even as others pass by?

Have you concluded and said to yourself you can never get up to your feet anymore? Remember the blind Bartimaeus was once in that state, not only that he was poor he was also blind.

Mark 10:46-48, And they came to Jericho; and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people followed Him. A blind man called Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.

Here is a blind man that no physician has been able to make receive his sight. Till today, there are many people like that. His situation to many people was hopeless and impossible.

The challenges and predicaments of this life pushed him to beg along the Jericho road. So while others excitedly rushed to Jerusalem to celebrate the coming of Jesus. Bartimaeus was in a place begging.

When we think of the difficulties and miseries of this world, blindness would be considered to be the peak. Bartimaeus heard the story that Jesus was coming by and the Bible says he cried out.

He had never witnessed any of the miracles Jesus performed. Neither had he seen any because he was blind, but he had only heard of them. And he responded to what he had heard with faith.

A day came when he had that Jesus the son of David was passing by. He grabbed that opportunity and all of his dreams come true. What is that situation that you think can not be restored?

The blind man had a desire to be free from blindness. And he cried to Jesus with that desire. Having faith that Jesus was both willing and able to fulfill his heart desire.

In spite of all the shame, condemnation and humiliation attached to his life as a blind beggar. Bartimaeus was very persistent and determined not to be silenced by anyone this time.

They ask him to keep quiet, to them he was disturbing them with his noise making. They expected him to be happy and comfortable in his situation since he was being given alms by the passer-by.

But the more the crowd shouted for him to keep quiet, the louder he shouted Jesus son of David have mercy on me. He continued crying in a loud voice, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!

He believed in Jesus, that with him he will be made whole. His life, destiny, hopes, and dreams depended on that cry. His courage and determination attracted the attention of Jesus.

In verses 49 And Jesus stood still and required him to be called. And they called the blind man, saying unto him, be of good comfort, rise, He is calling you.

The Bible recorded that Jesus stood still. Meaning, He stopped whatever he was doing and attended to Bartimeaus’ need. And Jesus said to him, what do you want me to do for you?

The blind man was specific in his request Lord, I want to receive my sight. And He said to him, go your faith has healed you. And instantly blind Bartimaeus regained his sight (verse 52).

What is the situation that you are going through now and no one has been able to help? What have you lost that you want to restore? Are there situations that seem irreversible in your life?

Are you under the captivity of the enemy like the people of Isreal? Or you are blind physically like Bartimaeus? Is your own spiritual, financial, or mental blindness?

Are you a single lady who desires to get married and no suitor is forthcoming. Are you seeking for jobs or your business instead of growing is running into debts?

Is it a life of immorality and you don’t know how to come out of it? The Israelites will always go to God, crying for mercy whenever they discover that God was angry with them.

Some so-called Christians today, with little challenge, easily forget the testimonies of God’s favor upon their lives. They run from pillar to post to seek help from even ungodly sources.

They curse God through their behavior and actions when things are not moving well in their life. Repentance and humility are irrelevant to them, while prayer is completely absent in their lives.

They have heard that Jesus rose again and in heaven preparing a place for those who accept Him in faith. But they failed to seize the opportunity and answer to the Gospel message of our Lord Jesus Christ in faith.

Religion / The Bread Of The Spirt [the Word] by Onyekachi85(m): 10:07pm On Feb 06, 2020
The word of God remains the bread of the spirit and the source of the believer’s strength and power. You may be missing God and his word in your spirit. Because you are trying to figure God out with your own intellect.

The simple truth is that no man can know God with the human mind. Because man is limited to certain things. That’s how nature made it, to be.

Specifically, many believers also thought that they will know God by their academics qualifications. But that is not true, in fact, most times, too much education without insight into God’s word puts an individual in danger.

The more they pursue education the less spiritual impact they make. You don’t know God by your academic height or level. Neither will your commitment and many years of service in the house of God make you know God better.

1 Samuel 3:7, Here, Samuel did not yet know the Lord, and the word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him. Even though he was serving the Lord under Eli and yet he did not know the Lord. Because the word of God had not yet been revealed to him.

Many of us want to know God the way we know our fellow human beings. Some want to know him by prayer and fasting. Fasting and prayer only help us in our faith when we know God to overcome our enemies.

There is no religious organization that does not observe fasting and prayer, and yet it has not made them know God. Besides, we don’t only know God by reading and studying His word, but by meditating on it.

Psalm 119:99, Meditating on your statutes has given me more insight and understanding than all my teachers. Reading and studying the word of God can only give you knowledge of Bible stories.

We know God more by meditating on His word. When we push the world of God into our spirit, our spirit will be enlightened and consequently educate our minds.

When we educate our minds with the word, the spirit will cause us to fear God and also keep his commandments. 1 John 2:4, The word of God says The whole of man is to fear God and keep his commands.

He who says, I know Him and keeps not His command is a liar. He does not know him. Furthermore, you don’t know God once and for all, no, we know him on a daily basis.

The Bible says, Trust in God. Meaning we should trust in His word. And stop visualizing God as a physical being, but as a spiritual being. And because God is spirit, He must be worshiped in spirit.

Therefore, lift His word from the pages of the Bible. And paste it to your spirit through meditation and confession of the word of God, day and night.

If you transfer the word of God from the pages of the Bible through confession to your spirit. The spirit which is the word of God will move you to follow God’s decrees. And also enable you to obey His laws.

Ezekiel 36:27 God said, that He will put His spirit in you and move you to follow His decrees and be careful to keep His laws.

Why many believers fail today is because they want to use their intellectual powers to move themselves to follow God’s decrees and to obey his laws.

As a matter of fact, every living thing feeds on something. So do God, the bread of God is His word. John 6:33 says, that the bread of God is the one that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.

You are now God’s image by virtue of the new birth. What your father eat is the food you will eat also. Feed your spirit now with the word of God.

And see if the greater you, will not arise and challenge the enemies of your soul. Feed him and see if your world will not change, and that sickness flee from your body.

In connection with this, your spirit has been under starvation for a long time now and can not believe in the true word of God anymore.

As long as the spirit is weak, your ability to possess strong faith is been defeated. Because if the spirit lacks the word of God, the flesh takes over and overshadow the spirit.

Regular confession of the word of God will fish out all demonic activities going on in your life and your family. It can also reveal the mysteries you did not know about their existence in your family.

The devil can not subject you to unmerited hardship again. When Adam and Eve fell from grace. God made thorns and thistles grow from the ground symbolic of the cursed land.

The crown of thorns Christ wore is a symbol of that very cause. By wearing a crown of thorns on the cross of Calvary, Christ took upon himself our inherited cause.

Therefore, disassociate yourself from the economy of this world. And place your faith in God’s word which has exempted you from all curses.

I am the bread of life. Anyone that comes to me will never go hungry, and anyone that believes in me will never be thirsty. John 6:35. Many believers today are spiritually hungry.

While some are thirsty because they don’t eat the bread nor drink the fountain of life. Let me say this, you can not know God by your own power.

God will only reveal himself to you when you pour your spirit, which is the enemy’s target. The word of God is true and does not fail, nor change, it is forever settled in heaven.

When you confess the word, there will be a spiritual transaction that will move you from where you are now to where you are supposed to be.

As you confess the word of God your spirit is hearing it. And the spirit transferred the word into you to build your faith. Because faith comes by hearing and hearing by only God’s word.

It is what that goes into the spirit that gives faith and makes it strong. When we fail to push enough words into our spirit, we will be walking in the flesh.

Religion / The Last 7 Expressions Of Christ Jesus On The Cross by Onyekachi85(m): 10:05pm On Jan 02, 2020
Seven pronouncements were made by Our Lord Jesus Christ in His passion on the Cross. These words came out when it is time for Him to speak. He spoke out for our benefit and salvation.

And each of His words had a perfect and great impact on humanity, whom he came to save. Christ Jesus because of his love for us, came into this world and died on the Cross of Calvary to redeem and save mankind from the slave of sin.

He willingly and obediently submits Himself to death. And was crucified by the people He created, as the ultimate and final sacrifice for human sins.

Jesus Christ was mocked, rejected, and tortured and was crucified on the Cross, between two common criminals. He passed through all these just because of me and you.

Here are the last seven words of our Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross, as recorded in Scripture.

THE FIRST MESSAGE: [Father, forgive them]

Luke 23:34, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

Our benevolent Lord Jesus Christ, in His most profound suffering and pain on the Cross. Never thought about Himself, but was filled with compassion and by the interests of others.

He was not concern about His sufferings, His pain, His weariness, or His wounds. Despite the humiliation and rejection by the soldiers and the Jews.

Jesus Christ of Nazareth looking down from the cross just after he was crucified between two criminals. He saw the soldiers who have mocked, beaten, and tortured him, and who have just nailed him to the cross.

He also remembered Caiaphas and the high priests of the Sanhedrin Pilate who have sentenced him. His Apostles and friends who have deserted him.

Peter who denied him three times, and to the masses who days earlier were, praising him on his way to Jerusalem, and then days later demanded his crucifixion?

He paid no heed to the painful slashes of the straps on his back; to the nails that pierced His hands and feet, nor to the crown of thorns on His head.

Neither did he care about His battered body. All these He ignored because of His love for mankind. He ignored all because He came to save even His adversaries and persecutors.

At the end of his physical suffering and pain, his love for mankind prevails. And He pleaded His Father to forgive! It is only by this His very Sacrifice on the Cross that mankind is able to be forgiven.

THE SECOND MESSAGE: [today you shall be with me in Paradise]

Luke 23:43, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

Here it was not just the religious leaders, soldiers or the Jewish people that made a mockery of Jesus. But even one of the criminals that were crucified with Jesus speaks up for Him.

Actually, the two criminals were receiving their very due. Whereas “This man Jesus has done nothing wrong.” Then, turning to Jesus, he asks, Jesus, remember me when you come in your kingdom. (Luke 23:42).

What an amazing faith this repentant sinner has in Jesus. Jesus ignored His own suffering. And responded with mercy, kindness, and generosity to a man that only asked to be remembered!

Jesus shows his Divinity by opening the gates of heaven for a repentant sinner.

This expression grants us hope for salvation, for if we turn our hearts and prayers to Him and accept his forgiveness, we will also be with Jesus Christ at the end of our lives.

THE THIRD MESSAGE: [Mother behold your son]

John 19:26-27, And Jesus said to His mother, “Woman, here is your son.” Then to the disciple, “Here is your mother.”

What sorrow must fill Mary’s heart! How she must have felt watching her own son as he carried the Cross, moving to where he will be crucified. I tell you it was a sword pierces Mary’s soul.

Mary his Mother, John, the disciple whom he loved, his mother’s sister Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene were all there watching as Jesus is nailed to the cross.

Despite the pain and suffering, Jesus was overwhelmed by the other people’s problems while on the Cross. He cares for the ones that love him, and also to those that despise him. He cared for even the thief on His right side, promising him Paradise.

Ordinarily, a person who is in pain receives the attention and sympathy of others. But in this case, the Lord Jesus Christ in His pain was the one caring for others. He was so much concerned about His persecutors.

Here He also directed His attention to His mother, committing His beloved disciple, John with the task of taking care of her. He entrusted His mother, who nurtured and loved Him so dearly.

Who stood beside His cross, to John the beloved, the only disciple who followed Him to the Cross. He was concerned about the mother who cared for Him in His childhood and to whom He was obedient. (Luke 2:51).

And with an emotional attachment to Him in His torment in the most heartfelt love and compassion, encouraging Him with impressive words.
The Lord Jesus Christ saw that he must take care of His mother who has shown him so much love, at this time of her distress, in other to console her in her grief.

He considered it proper, being a Son, to comfort His mother in her distress. He comforted her by talking to her, caring for her, and offering her a spiritual son to keep her company.

THE FOURTH MESSAGE: [Why have you abandoned me?]

Matthew 27:46 and Mark 15:34 “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?”

This cry alone highlighted his loneliness and separation, (Mark 15:40) has it that even his loved ones were “looking at him from afar.” Jesus is now all alone, and he must face death by himself.

Here He feels separated from his Father. Not to mention his earthly friends the disciples, who “all left him and fled” (Matthew 26:56, Mark 14:50). This kind of cry that comes from the painful heart of the human Jesus.

Jesus completely lives the human experience as we do, and by doing so, frees us from the parts of sin. There can not be a more terrible and fearful moment in the history of man as this moment, that Jesus who came to save mankind from their sin is crucified.

The person Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, redeemed us only by His death. And become the only mediator between God and the human race. (I Timothy 2:5-6).

Jesus went to the cross and took the burden of our sins upon Himself, so that, we might be free from sin, and live for righteousness. Only by his wounds, you are healed. 1 Peter 2:24.

The words of Jesus, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? signify that the Father has forsaken Him in order for Him to pay the price of redemption.

He sacrificed His own right and self-respect for our sake. Because it is only in the defeat and destruction of his humanity that the Divine plan of His Father will be made complete.

Religion / 9 Powerful Ways To Break Your Limitations by Onyekachi85(m): 9:44pm On Jan 02, 2020
Limitation: is a restriction, a bone beyond, which one may not go. It can also be defined as an imperfection or shortcoming which limits something use or it’s value.

It is something that prevents or restricts you from reaching your lifetime goal. It is a barrier that says you cannot go beyond where you are now.

Have you ever encountered difficulties and challenges in your life, and you had no idea how to continue pushing on? Life sometimes can be more terrifying if we fail to take on the challenges and hurdles.

Due to a perceived danger and risk that are attached to them, or nonexistent, self-imposed barriers. In this life, there are many challenges and obstacles that are capable of stopping you from hitting your destiny.

If care is not taking, you can find yourself held in a particular place, without even actualizing your life long dreams. Therefore, in other to overcome them you must be ready to combat them.

TO BREAK:
Is to separate into two or more pieces by a process that cannot easily be reversed or reassemble.
Causing a habit to no longer exist
To stop or cause to stop, or to end abnormal things.
Breaking your limitation is to surpass those things that limit you from making it, and break into your own record. To determine to come out of, or overcome any form of obstacles.

A decision to tackle or overcome anything with the capacity to stop or reduce you to nothing. A decision to break into new ground, and become somebody in life.

Dealing with any habit that has the potential to cage or stop you from achieving your already set goal in life.

These are some of the great people in the bible that God used, but they all understood what it meant to be limited.
limitations

1. Moses appeared to be limited by his ability to speak. Exodus 4:10, 3:11
O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant, but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue, Moses said Exodus 4:10. I am nobody, that I should go to Pharaoh, he asked. (Exodus 3:11).

Moses made these statements after God had instructed him, to go back to the land where he had fled from, for 40 years ago for the fear of his life, to present himself before king Pharoh.

Here, his inability to speak fluently became his own limitation. He was obviously afraid and wondered if he could do what God has commanded him to do.

However, he was not happy that he was the one to go to Pharaoh and make such demands. Moses was so troubled over the entire matter that he finally pleaded with God, to send someone else (Exodus 4:13).

But despite all the excuses God had more confidence in Moses’ abilities than Moses did. It was Moses’ fear and doubt, that leads God to raise Aaron as His spokesman.

2. Gideon felt limited by his 300 men Judges 6:15-16.
Gideon was a man called by God to be a mighty man of courage, a great warrior, a great leader, a great deliverer to Israel. Yet he was living as a common laborer.

His response was an excuse, an argument against serving his God. He asked how he could possibly save Israel.

He was too weak as an individual, too incompetent and small for such an enormous task. Even his group was the most vulnerable in the tribe of Manasseh, and his family was the least of the families in the clan.

Possibly, Gideon was also recognized to be the least within his own family, the family of Joash. This was probably due to his faith in God, a faith strong enough to stand against the false worship of his parents.

Limitations are capable of reducing your life to nothing. Thereby, putting you in a state of confusion and frustration. Is that your case? Are you living far below your God-given destiny? Then stand up and fight.

3. The disciples felt limited with the 5 loaves and 2 fishes Matthew 14:13-21, Mark 6:41.
This act seems impossible before the disciples, who have never witnessed such in their entire life. But that also thought them whom God is, He is never an orthodox God.

They saw Jesus heal people and heard Him teaching. They also heard Him proclaim that the kingdom of God had come. As proof that Jesus had the authority to tell others about God and His kingdom.

Jesus performed many miracles. He healed people of terrible diseases, He made blind people see and crippled walk. But they have not seen him feed the crowd with only five loaves of bread and two fish.

Jesus needed to show the disciples that there was no way they could solve their problems on their own. He needed the disciples to trust Him and to know that He alone was able to meet their needs.

EXAMPLES OF THOSE WHO BROKE THROUGH THEIR LIMITATIONS:

Jabez 1 Chronicles 4:9-10
David 1 Samuel 16:11-12; 17:19
Zacchaeus Luke 19:1-10
Apostle Paul knew the secret of overcoming limitations. And he said in the book of Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

FORMS OF LIMITATIONS:

Marital Limitations
Financial Limitations
Spiritual Limitations
Educational Limitations
Relationship Limitations
Health Limitations
Mindset Limitations
Background Limitations
Habit/Character Limitations
Genetic Limitations
Disabilities Limitations
Enemies Limitations- Witchcraft, just to mention but a few.

Causes of limitation:

Unwillingness: to submit completely to the word of God is the major cause of limitation. The Bible says Those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits.
Spiritual attacks: the enemy willfully attacks some people so that nothing meaningful comes out of their lives.
Lack of direction: Hosea 4:6 says, My people, perish for lack of vision. Proverbs 29:18, Where there is no vision, the people perish: The vision here is talking about one being led by God to walk in his plans and purposes for your life.
Generational curses: If you fail to stop those things that stoped your father or mother from making it, they can equally stop you from making it too. Therefore, discover them, fight them, and overcome them.
Sin: God cannot be with you as long as you are living a life of sin. The worst part of it is to pretend to know God while you don’t follow or obey his principles.

FOUR REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD BREAK YOUR LIMITATIONS

Limitation can peg you far below your actual capacity or personality
Limitation can confine you into an endless dream world
It can be trans-generational
It can also label you with wrong self-image

9 WAYS TO BREAK YOUR LIMITATIONS

1. First, identify those Challenges and Prepare to deal with them:

Knowing your limitations is essential to self-growth. One of the reasons so many people fail in life is because they’re not aware of their own limitations, nor do they know how to exploit them to their own advantage.

We all have one limitation or the other, so there’s no use complaining about it. Rather, the best thing is to be aware of them and use them to move forward in life.

Otherwise, you risk being disorganized and frustrated. Therefore, no matter who you are, where you are, or what position you occupy in society. If you want to make progress, you need to be aware of your limitations, face them and overcome them.

2. Program your mindset for success:

Success is usually determined by the kind of mindset you possess in attaining your goals. Without a positive mindset, it is easy to get fed up and feel discouraged.

A positive mindset helps you to withstand the ups and downs you will encounter on your way to success. It gives you the confidence to fight on and believe, that even if you make mistakes you can still make it.

3. Set a target and pursue goals:

If you really want to live a life of purpose and meaning, setting a goal for yourself is inevitable. It is important and essential in the journey of life. Set goals that are meaningful, attainable, relevant and realistic to you and your life.

Because goals give our lives direction and focus and help us stay motivated over a long time. They envelop all of our plans for the future, hopes, dreams, and visions.

Writing them down also keeps us on the part of hope to accomplish them in life. It has a way of making those goals remain fresh in our minds until they are achieved.

4. Set A deadline for your goals and Evaluate them always:

As you move ahead with your goals, also take time to assess the progress of your goals. From time to time re-evaluate your goals, to see if there is anywhere you’re lagging behind.

Because change is part of life and constant, make adjustments where necessary to achieve your already set goals in life.

Religion / 8 Silly Mistakes That Can Kill Your Destiny by Onyekachi85(m): 8:00pm On Nov 09, 2019
To be successful in life there are certain silly mistakes that must be checked… If you really want to discover and develop your God giving potentials. Potential is a quality that someone has or possessed that can be developed, in other to help the person become successful and great in life.

The word “Potential” comes from the root words “potency” and “potent” which refers to all the things one can do and be successful. Collectively, we have all the potential we need to create and sustain our world and career. God has buried lots of potentials in every human being on this planet earth according to their capabilities.

Some of us are great in technology, while some are experts at telling stories. Others excel in business, while some are good financial managers, some are inventors and designers, etc. Meaning that all of us have inside us one seed of greatness or the other. Which can only-begotten, by continuous effort and struggle.

Because you can not witness any development be it physically, spiritually or intellectually without hard work. Only but a few realized this. That discovering their potential through hard work will give them access to change and redefine their destiny. And equally, change their lives in the
process.

While some have discovered theirs, but laziness and procrastination have been the order of the day. Believing they will be on their bed and success will just hit them. One thing is for one to discover his or her potentials. Another thing is to put them into action for a better result. Otherwise, it will remain as it were.

But if you discover and use your gifts, talents and natural abilities. It will also help you to become the best version of yourself and make your dreams come true. Nothing is more important than using your limited time and energy on earth to do the things you love and enjoy doing. Now that you are still living.

Most times we are been tricked and deceived by the system of the world we are living in. Nevertheless, life still remains the most precious and cherished thing on this earth. For as the world has different natural resources in every country of the world. So do men have different potentials and talents.

The potential, talent, and gifts that are hidden in us by God will continue to lay dormant if we fail to discover and put them into work. When we try to look for what will make us succeed in life outside the talent in us. We end up pursuing shadow. Because our success cannot be found anywhere else but in us.

All the things we needed to be successful in this life is already deposited in us. But most times our inability to discover them has been our major setback. There is greatness in every individual, but only those who know the value can achieve it. The only exceptional people are those who were able to discover and develop it.

The difference between the people who succeeded and those that did not. It is their ability to do extraordinary things that the unsuccessful ones could not do. Because in every success, there is a secret. And every success has a key that unlocks it. If the owner fails to explore the keys to unveil the treasure, failure is inevitable.

Do you really wish to excel in life? Then think of these silly mistakes and avoid them if you must achieve your goals and have success. Because making one or more of them could destroy your destiny beyond repair.

8 Silly Mistakes That Can Destroy Your Potential

1. Drunkenness, Intake Of Drugs, And Smoking Of Weeds

Drunkenness, intake of drugs and weeds have really dealt with many people who would have done better in every work of life. Many intelligent and talented people today mostly youths, are hanging around without any sense of direction. Because they failed to develop what they have in them.

”No wonder Proverbs 20:1 said that Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging, and whoever is deceived by it is not wise.” Meaning that wise people shouldn’t go after them.

2. Thinking You know It All

To become the version of success you want to be. You must subject yourself to learning and never give up on it. Learning is the beginning of good health, wealth, and spirituality, etc.

Push yourself to learn more and make learning your priority and stop thinking you know it all. Challenge your mind constantly by being relentless about your own development to be successful in life.

Don’t be lazy with learning. Understand you only get one life, so don’t settle for average. Strive to do better. Strive to achieve more by changing your habits and you can change your life.

3. Laziness

Lazy people want success to happen instantly and with insignificant effort. But success isn’t an overnight thing. Otherwise, everyone would be millionaires. If we must succeed in this life we must adjust and adapt to hard-working. Because gold cannot be found at the surface but under the deepest part of the earth.

We need to wake up and look for those hidden talents in our lives. If we must live fine and meet up with our financial responsibilities. And the only way this can be achieved is by digging deep until we make it. Hard work brings blessings, so, don’t waste your time wandering around, looking for someone who will supposedly make you rich.

The truth is that giving you fish cannot make you a fisherman. In the same manner, giving you money cannot make you rich. Therefore, work and not beg, in other to become the rich man or woman you dreamed of. And never you be satisfied with where you are now. To avoid having what you are satisfied with tomorrow.

4. Comparing Yourself To Someone Else

Self-comparison is the most dangerous way to hurt your self-admiration and love. It is also a way of bringing depression and anxiety to your very self. It is capable of leading you into believing that life has been unfair and difficult for you. Have you ever asked yourself this question? The person you are comparing yourself with. Does he have the same destiny as yours?

Most times we don’t have full knowledge of the difficulty others are experiencing while wishing to be like them. Just try to be you, and be the best of you. By setting your own standards of creativity and never comparing your existence, knowledge, capability and even your destiny to someone else’s.

Religion / The Tiny Secret To Overcome The Unseen Enemies by Onyekachi85(m): 7:37pm On Nov 09, 2019
Spiritual warfare is inevitable for everyone living on this planet. It is a way of fighting against the works of mysterious evil forces or demons, that intervene in human affairs in various ways.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age. Against spiritual host of wicked in the heavenly place Ephesians 6:12. Prayer is spiritual warfare. The unseen spiritual powers are positioned against believers.

Without a strong prayer life, a believer is at the mercy of these Unseen powers. Prayerless people are attacked by evil forces of which they are usually unaware. Only a few Christians recognize the extent evil powers can exercise in their affair.

Many concern themselves mainly with flesh and blood, using their physical strength to battle or fight against opposition they can see. They do not realize that flesh and blood are the real enemies they have. Paul in Ephesians 6:13-18 reveals the nature of the Christians warfare.

He designates the Amour and the weapons that we need to make successful warfare.

PRAYER: A WAR AGAINST THE DEVIL! Equipped with the Amour, Every Christian must offensively pray against the devil. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit. Being watchful to this effect with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints Ephesians 6:18.

Spiritual warfare is against the enemy; that seeks to take advantage of us at every given opportunity. In the days of Job, when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord. Satan also came among them Job 1:6.

He showed up too, with the purpose of causing trouble. Because that’s what he is good at. God allowed Satan to attack Job and his household. Satan was responsible for the Sabeans attack on Job’s servants, he also caused the lightning to strike Job’s flocks and consume them.

He was the author of the cyclone. Which destroyed the building where Job’s children were. It was the devil that put painful boils on Job’s body Job 2:7.

And Job said THE LORD has taken away” Job 1:21 Naked I came from my mother’s womb and naked I will leave this life. The LORD gives, and the LORD has taken. Blessed be the name of the LORD.

What a great thing it is for one’s sense to be able to discern what really takes place in the heavenlies? The Bible gives us a view of what occurs in the spirit world.

In Daniel chapter 10, we see a glimpse of the devil’s activities in the world system. Here one of Satan’s chief officer is described as the “Prince of Persia”.

Every nation has a prince of the kingdom of darkness assigned to it. This powerful spirit has a legion of lesser spirit under him they carry out his orders. And through them, Satan maintains his kingdom and accomplishes his purpose of seducing and deceiving men on earth.

At the time of Daniel’s prayer, Daniel was so disturbed of the constant harassment, humiliation and suffering the Jews are passing through in their native land. Daniel wondered what would become of His generation and the generations unborn in time to come.

He was so burdened and the afflictions of his people pressed heavily on his heart. And he decided to set aside to meditate and seek the face of God.

Asking God to make known to him the reason behind it. Daniel gave himself to prayer and fasting and decided never to give up until he receives an answer from the Lord.

Daniel was used to getting his prayers answered immediately. But this time the case was different. He was never discouraged instead he pushed on to new efforts. Days passed by with no sign that God heard his prayer. Until the twenty-first day of Daniel’s prayer, something happened!

An angel from the Lord suddenly came to him. And informed him that from the first day that you set your heart to understand and to humble yourself before your God.

Your words were heard. And God had sent me to bring the answer to you. But an evil power, the prince of the kingdom of Persia” withstood me twenty-one days.

And behold, Michael, one of the chief angels came to save me. Daniel 10:12,13. This is perhaps one of the most remarkable revelations in the Old Testament. These verses give a unique impression of what takes place in the Unseen world.

The Unseen Powers of darkness inhabit the heavenlies, and manipulate events in the world, though within the limits of divine permission. Earthly kingdoms are under the influence of well-organized forces of wickedness. Subordinate princes, who in turn, have armies of Demons under them.

But they work towards one purpose, which is to bring all inhabitants of this planet under their control. Only the power of the Gospel can have any effect in changing man’s fallen nature. Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain. Showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

And the devil said to him, All this authority I will give you and their glory. For this has been delivered to me, and I give whomever I wish. Luke 4:5-6.

Spiritual powers in high places can only be ousted by spiritual warfare. The prince of Persia is strong: For three good weeks, he was able to withhold the angel from getting through to Daniel. But Daniel continued praying, and when God sent reinforcements by the Archangel Michael. The power of darkness was, at last, forced to give way.

Religion / The Conditions For God’s Promises And Covenants by Onyekachi85(m): 7:18pm On Nov 09, 2019
Standing on the promises and covenants of God makes one unmoveable even in the midst of troubles and difficulties. It is the fundamental tool God has designed.

He designed it for His relationship with mankind. God’s promises and the covenant we have with Him gives us hope even when the situation seems hopeless.

Though your faith will be tested. Learn to trust God with your life when trials come. Also, pray that He will give you a persistence spirit to remain in His promises and covenant.

He knows the best for you. And He will certainly come for your aid at the right time. Because He is a promise-keeping God, and He never fails.

One day a man called Onyemaechi [who knows tomorrow] a kind-hearted man, who enjoys doing the work of God.

He was sleeping at night in his hut, quickly his room was filled with light. He was shivering and vibrating, and was wondering what the lightning was all about.

Suddenly, the Lord appeared to him and told him, fear not my child. I have come to give you an assignment which you will do for me.

He took him outside and showed him a large rock in front of his hut. I want you to push this rock with all your might, and with all your strength.

I will be going to a far country, when I come back I will reward you handsomely. So, the man did as commanded by the master, day after day.

For many years he labored from the rising of the sun to the going down of the sun. But to no avail, his arms and all the joint have started paining and distressing him.

One night as he returned to his hut from his duty post angry and exhausted, feeling that he has foolishly agreed with his master and has embarked on an un-achievable work.

I have wasted all these years in vain without any success Onyemaechi said. Immediately he said that the Adversary (Satan) started planting negative thoughts into his weary and overworked mind.

One day, Satan said to him, you have been pushing that rock for a long time, and it hasn’t moved. Why do you still waste your time and energy on this unrealistic mission?

Therefore, giving him the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure already. These thoughts discouraged and depressed Onyemaechi the more.

But, despite all the pains, sufferings, and all the negative and discouraging thoughts he refused to give up, he continues doing that which his master asked him to do.

After many years of Onyemaechi’s persistence and hard work, his master returned from His journey. How are you doing? his master asked.

Lord, I have labored so long and hard in your vineyard, Onyemaechi said. And have put all my strength and might, just to do that which you have asked me to do.

Yet, after all these wasted years, time and energy, I have not been able to push that rock by a half millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing?”

Religion / 8 Attributes Of God's Glory by Onyekachi85(m): 5:51pm On Jul 30, 2019
As high as the heavens are from the earth so His thoughts are different from our thoughts, And His ways far beyond anything man could imagine says the LORD.

God in His unique and gracious love towards us His children promised us many wonderful things, which one of them is that we will be careers of His glory.

God created humankind to give us the opportunity to become the very sons and daughters of God according to (2 Corinthians 6:17-18). If we are to become part of God’s own family, one of the attributes we must receive is the glory of God.

The glory of God is the supreme beauty and greatness of God’s manifold perfections, character, worth, and attributes. Revelation 15:8 talks about the effect of God’s glory:

“The temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power, No one could enter it until the seven angels had finished emptying out the seven last problems.

We also read in Revelation 21:23, which says that the city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God brightened it and the Lamb is its light.” Therefore, an important attribute of God’s very being is that He is gloriously shining with sparkling splendor.

Moses led the people of Israelite to Mount Sinai after God delivered them from Egyptians bondage. After speaking the 10 Commandments, God told Moses to come up on the mountain to receive the records Exodus 24:12-17. The Israelite saw God’s glory as a devouring fire on the top of the mountain.

Now the glory of the LORD rested on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. And on the seventh day, God called to Moses out of the middle of the cloud. The brightness of the glory of the LORD was like a consuming fire in the eyes of the children of Israel.”

Also on the mount of Carmel, the glory of God was revealed, and the prophets of Baal were put to death while the God of Israel was worshiped. When the glory comes, the fire of God consumes every altar that is raised against His people.

As God told the children of Israel that if they will obey Him and make their ways pleasing unto Him, then the joy of the LORD will be their strength. No matter how mountainous your challenges might have been, you shall climb over all of them, all you need is to become a carrier of God's glory.

Many people today are on the wrong track, going from one church to another prayer house looking for solution and answers to prayers when their hearts are lucked with evil. They have disappointed God, mankind and many of their admirers who are looking on to them for emulation.

Because they lack the glory of God in them. Revelation 3:20 says, Behold I stand at the door of your heart knocking, if only you will hear my voice and open the door I will come in and feast with you.

All you need is to open your heart for the Lord to come in because the glory of God is an inheritance from God for all His own children. Whenever it is revealed to you, you will automatically become a solution to peoples problem.

The glory of God is an agent of change in the life of its career both in his lifestyle, the character, the environment he is in, his speech, his relationship with people around him, etc.

But immediately the glory of God leaves a man, he becomes a problem, an instrument of distraction for everyone around him, an empty vessel, that can make a hail lot of noise but could not produce anything meaningful.

THE DANGER OF LOSING GOD'S GLORY

Esau and Jacob were born the same day by the same parents, Esau went against God's will and married a foreign woman. And the bible says he brought bitterness to his parents, but Jacob obeyed God's instruction and he brought forth the 12 tribes of Israel.

Gehazi left God's divine direction and instruction that was given to his master not to receive Naaman's precious gifts and went and collected those gifts from Naaman, which later made Gehazi leprous.

The worst thing that can happen to an eagle is for that eagle not to fly, it is a big tragedy for Samson who was a hero to become a grinder of pepper for a woman. He lost his two eyes and couldn't actualize his full destiny because he went against God's instruction and His glory left him.

David's way was pleasing to the Lord and having encountered God's glory, he was able to come against the giant Goliath and kill him. If you must arise to become a success you must be a carrier of Gods glory.

Religion / 4 Things You Must Do To Be Filled With The Holy Spirit by Onyekachi85(m): 5:34pm On Jul 30, 2019
Being filled, controlled and empowered by the HOLY SPIRIT is the best thing that could happen to any Christain. Because the holy spirit is the sustainer of every Christain faith. And it is the right of every believer to be filled with the HOLY SPIRIT.

Jesus disciples though, had been with Him for three years, were not equipped to carry out the Lord's great commission until they were filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, before they were able to witness Christ.

Apostle Peter with his position denied Christ because he lacked the power that the Holy Spirit gives whenever He comes upon a man. Tragically, many Christians do not know or have this holy spirit in their lives. Some don't even believe in the person of the Holy Spirit.

At receiving the HOLY SPIRIT Apostle Peter became an outstanding preacher. The strength of his word was so great that he turned three thousand people to Christ. The dead returned to life (Acts 9:40), the sick were healed even just by touching his shadow as it passed by (Acts 5:15).

FIRST, WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT?

In Scripture, we learned that the Holy Spirit is God. There is only one God but working in three diverse ways and He the HOLY SPIRIT is the third supreme person of the Trinity.

The Holy Spirit is God 1 Corinthians 2:10-11, 1 Thessalonians 1:5, Luke 1:35.
He is the third person of the Trinity, coequal with God the Father and God the Son. What the father is, is what the son is and is what the holy spirit is. Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14
They are one God working in three dimensions to archive one particular goal John 1:1-2.

His purpose of coming:

He came to give us the power to witness for Christ Acts 1:8
He came to glorify Christ and lead us into the truth of God's word John 16:13-14
He came that he might guide and direct us in our prayer life. Romans 8:26-27
The Holy Spirit operates in our lives to fit us into Gods Sonship. Romans 8:14
He came to help us know more of God, for it is impossible to know or serve God without the person of the Holy Spirit in our lives. John 3:5-6
The Holy Spirit came to convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. John 16:7-11

The HOLY SPIRIT is eternal, He encourages, He gives understanding, He gives peace, He comforts, He directs, and He can be prayed to. He is God residing inside believers who have accepted Christ as their Savior.

To be filled with the Holy Spirit is to be filled with Christ, His commandments and principles, to abide in Him in all circumstances. Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness...

The word of God becomes clearer, understandable and more meaningful to us when we have the person of the holy spirit in our lives. The reason some Christians are not filled with the holy spirit is as a result of unbelief and lack of the knowledge of God.

Jesus promised us in John 14:12 that if we believe in Him, that we would do greater works than he did. It is only what you want and believes in that you look for and desire to have.

You are correct my brother anyone replacing laziness with prayers does not even know his or her bible. The bible made it clear that anyone who refused to work should not eat.

But should we abandon prayer and God because we are successful in life? No, what of the bible passage that ask us to pray without season and Matthew 7:7 that told us to ask, seek and knock. If God didn't know the important of prayer would he had ask us to pray?

Prayer is the fighting force for every Christian, even the Muslims don't joke with their prayers likewise every other religion including the idol worshipers who will always go to their shrine to talk to their god. Every Christian need prayer to be able to overcome the troubles of this world.
Religion / 7 Dangerous Things That Can Hinder Your Prayers From Being Answered by Onyekachi85(m): 10:33pm On Jul 02, 2019
Often we are disturbed whenever God does not answer our prayers when we needed Him to. Most times we feel disappointed, frustrated, and wanting to give up hope as a result of the delay in our expectations.

We even imagine sometimes if God is still in existence... If He is still what he said he is or, has he changed from being God to another thing. But in the midst of all these thoughts, questions and imaginations.

Have you ever managed to examine yourself to know the reasons why your prayers are not answered? Is it your fault or that God purposely refused to answer your prayers, Or does it mean that He doesn't love you?

Of course, God listens to us, God loves us, God in His supremacy answers our prayers too. Though sometimes He may decide to keep quiet not because he didn't want to, but because he wanted to give you the best and at the right time.

God answers prayer in three ways:

Sometimes God tells us to wait for His own right time because He has his timing.
Sometimes God says yes because He wants you to have it at that particular time.
While sometimes God says no you don't deserve what you asked for.

But we must be in the know, however, that apart from God asking us to wait for the right time for our prayers to be answered, there are few other things that stop and hinders our prayers from being answered, and it's our responsibility to take care of it all.

Most times the answer to our prayers are being hindered by our sinful acts. There are many sins that man commits against God, and mankind, which are capable of blocking the channel through which we communicate God.

Isaiah 59:1-3. Says that the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear our cry. But our iniquities have separated us from the Lord our maker; our sins have hidden his face from us that he will not hear.

Because your hands are stained with blood, your fingers with guilt, your lips have spoken falsely, and your tongue whispers wicked things.

Sin is like a worm that eats up the good of anything it comes against, it is a virus and should be dealt with. 1John 3:4 defined sin as a transgression of the law. Everyone who sins breaks the law, making sin itself lawlessness.

Ezekiel 18:20, also described Sin as the child of uncontrolled desire in a man. It says that anyone who commits sin is the one who will die. That the children will not share or partake in the sin of the parent, not even the parent will share from the guilt of the child.

But those that live righteously it will be credited to them, while wickedness will also be used against the wicked.

That is why man is never at peace within himself whenever he commits sin. Because the wicked are like the tossing sea, which cannot rest, whose waves cast up mire and mud. And they are separated from the presence of God.

Sin is a curse upon all mankind for when a man goes beyond the will of God. He is consequently placed under a curse and that inevitably will cause man his relationship with his maker. Jeremiah 5:25 Declared that our wrongdoings deprived us good things that come from God.

Prayer is an important constituent of every Christian life, and we should do everything possible within our reach to keep it alive and never be hindered. If you really don’t want your prayers hindered, then stop doing these 7 things.

7 Things that hinder the answer of our prayers:

1. Unforgiven and none reconciliation spirit.

In Matthew 5:23-24 Jesus was telling the disciples the importance of forgiveness, "Therefore, if you are offering a gift to God, there at the altar you remember that your brother has something against you. That you should leave your gift there, go and reconcile with your brother and then come back and offer your gift.

Mark 11:25-26. Also confirm that, by asking us to forgive whenever we stand praying if we have anything against any: so that our Father who is in heaven may also forgive us our trespasses. But if we refuse to forgive, even our Father who is in heaven will not forgive our trespasses.

Our prayers, gift, money, etc are an abomination to God when we pray with the unreconciled and unforgiven mind. When we fail to make peace with our neighbors, friends or families and still come to God. God does not hear us, neither will he answer.

Consider these verses:

If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. Psalm 66:18.
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me: Psalm 66:18.
If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; Psalm 66:18.

Religion / Believe In Yourself by Onyekachi85(m): 5:40pm On Jun 04, 2019
Believing in yourself is to accept the truth about yourself or to have a firm conviction as to your ability, efficacy, goodness and what you are capable of doing as an individual.

Though there may be days in your life when you get up in the morning and discover that things are not the way you had hoped or planned they would be. Which we all in one way or the other have encountered such uncertainty, disappointment, failure, etc.

Whenever such uncertainty occurs in someone life, you will feel bad or even become ashamed of yourself, in some cases you feel discouraged and confused, Which are capable of hindering you from achieving your already set goal. But remember it's not a time to cry or apportion blames to anybody or to yourself, but the time you must remind yourself the humble truth about yourself, to trust in your own ability, It’s also a time to encourage and tell yourself that things will get better.

Time to tell your self though people might have disappointed, ridiculed or made a mockery of you, or the things of this life might not have been fair to you, you can still make it by Gods grace.

On your way to your destiny and success, understand that there must be challenges to face, disappointments to meet and obstacles to overcome, be ready to face them, stand up and deal with them, and never allow them to weigh you down.

Constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction and never allow anything to distract you. Though it may not be easy at times, perseverance always wins it all. Knowing that whenever it gets tough the end is near.

Therefore when the days that are filled with frustration and unexpected responsibilities and uncertainty come your way, remember to believe in yourself and all you wish to be in this life.

7 steps to help you believe in yourself.

1. Evaluation of your Thoughts and Actions.

Religion / Eternal Life Vs Eternal Death: Choose One? by Onyekachi85(m): 5:13pm On Jun 04, 2019
Eternal life: Is God's life in man, which begins immediately one heard the word of God, accept the word of God, believed the word of God and received the word of God which is Jesus Christ, as his personal Lord and Savior.

The seed of Eternal life is planted in the heart of every believer by the Holy Ghost. Once you become born again, washed by the blood and are regenerated. The Holy Spirit will now step in and dwell in you by giving you a new life, and also take you into a glorious union with God.

This kind of life man gets when he is saved is something that separates him from the world, self, and sin. Because when we are regenerated and the spirit dwells in us, everything about us will automatically change, because we are now new.

According to 2 Corinthians 5:17 which says that If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature the old life is gone; and a new life has begun. We no longer live for our selves but Christ in us the hope of our glory.

This kind of faith that brought us to Christ is a living faith, meaning it is active, productive and dynamic. This kind of faith works and produces within the person that possesses it, the spirit of boldness, self-reliance, hard working and overcoming.

Those who accept Jesus as their Lord and personal Savior and also received His blood for the remission of their sins remain faithful in their commitment to Him that called them.

They have God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in them which keeps them going. Colossians 2:9-10. For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.

Though this life can also be lost, when you carelessly walk back to a life of sin, which will automatically separate you from God. And is again under the condemnation of God because sin incurs the death penalty Roman's 1:18-32.

Paul told Timothy to Fight the good fight of faith, to lay hold on eternal life, 1 Timothy 6:12. " the word lay hold, is used only on something that could slip from us! Something that could be lost if handled carelessly.

Therefore in other to remain in the beautiful garden of God and also continue in fellowship with Him, we need to apply caution because we are commanded to abide in Him and also walk in His light as He is in the light. For whosoever, that sinneth is of the devil and he has not eternal life abideth in him. 1 John 3:7-10.

Religion / Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Says There Is Nothing Wrong With Eating In Your Dream by Onyekachi85(m): 4:44pm On Dec 16, 2018
For a lot of Christians, preachers included, eating in a dream is a bad omen, but that is not the case for Pastor Chris Oyakhilome who says there is nothing wrong with this.

The founding president of Believers' Love world Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy, shared this while responding to a question.

He was asked, "Dear Pastor if one happens to find him/herself eating in the dream, what does it mean or what should one do? Pastor does it means I'm possessed like many say or something? Please, your answer is needed on this."

According to the popular preacher, it is important to ignore the myth about eating in dreams. He recommends giving dreams a positive interpretation instead. The pastor backed his answer with Jeremiah 29:8, Isaiah 54:17 and Luke 10:19.
